Every time I go into this place I get that vibe of "we don't really want you in here, what with your tattoos and all, but we have to keep the ATF happy by actually selling guns to support the need for our FFL..." Its just not a welcoming scene. Something between benign neglect and outright dismissal of you. Yes, they call you "sir" to your face, but you can sort of tell its a backhanded thing. Then there is the larger issue of their pricing. Its just out of touch with reality. From ammo to accessories to actual guns, everything is a good 20% higher than it should be. And then there's selection. Yes, they do have a lot of guns on hand, but never exactly what you're looking for at a price you'd be willing to actually pay. I used to get pretty excited about this place, before I ever set foot in it, because it was on my way to Costco and Target. Then I went in there, and got to enjoy being treated like a quasi-common criminal because of my tattoos. Went once debating buying a USA Shooting Edition Ruger 10/22. When I saw the price tag of $775, I turned on my heels as I learned from my drill instructor in the US Army and walked double time out the door. It should have been $500 at most, so the surcharge was for what exactly? Long story short, you can find better deals here in the gun loving, ammo hording, shoot first and ask questions if you have to Valley of the Sun. I don't go in here anymore, if for no other reason than I don't feel like being insulted because of the markings I chose to put on my skin. read more

So I called this place to get a price on a handgun. The reply I got was; " four hundred something." Hmm, I never realized that four hundred something was an actual price. I guess It was to much trouble for the guy to actually look and see what the actual price was. I would have probably got a better answer to my question if I consulted one of those magic 8 balls. Second day in a row I showed up here and yesterday was my first time, ha ha. Met the gunsmith Ryan and you can tell he loves this stuff and was super helpful. We got to talking and he said he could pop in my apex trigger to the S&W SD9ve I just bought in 30 minutes while I wait. What !?!? I've never heard if such service in the industry. We talked quite a but and I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy an M&P full size just to have him put a trigger in that too (can you tell I appreciate a nice trigger?). This place is very nice for a gun shop, and the inventory is fantastic (they even have an FN 5.7 as of today,lol). Prices seem on par with most gun shops but the service is really where it's at in this industry. I'm not sure why the other reviews here are negative (I'm not waiting time reading them either) but my experience has been awesome and will be coming back regularly. read more

Gun shops can be a little quirky. But this one seems ok based on my 30 minute look around the shop. I'm from out of state so I didn't buy anything but I did interact with the staff. If I lived here I would be back to give the shop another chance when I needed to purchase a firearm. They have a nice selection of western styled firearms and used guns. read more

I came in looking to buy a very specific gun. When I came through the doors only one of the 5 employees acknowledged me. The entire shop seemed busy but there were only 2 customers. I asked to see the Ruger No1 was very excited by the prospect seeing as not many people in town have this gun. While inquiring about the gun not one sales associate gave me any help. Finally satisfied that this was the gun I was looking for I found that they were selling it for 300-500 more than any other online distributer or buy it now auction. When I tried to see if they had wiggle room I was told "No we get at our price and add our cut". After this the associate must have assumed I wasn't interested and left to do something in the back. I hung around the store trying to see if any other associates would be more interested in talking about the merchandise only to find that no one had any time. I decided to purchase my No1 online instead of dealing with the horrible customer service here. read more

took 7 antique marlin rifles to get appraised now iam 71 years old and I have around guns my whole life. i have never given a review about anything but I felt the needed to do so. all of the guns were over 130 years old and in collector condition. I did not go in to sell them but to get them individually appraised,I had two of them appraised for over 3000 each . these guys offered me 3700 for all of them.I GUESS I JUST LOOK STUPID.and they did not come close. Yes, the employees there seem a little "aloof" and/or "stand-offish", but if you get in their face they'll help you; they're just not the most "congenial" [or outgoing] people [overall] you'll ever meet. I can understand that some with a little "thinner skin" could be put-off on the first visit to the store. The gun prices are a little higher than some but they'll deal if you make an offer, and I've bought a few pistols there at a decent price. I recommend Legendary Guns, but if/when you go there leave your "emotional weakness" in your car, display some "spine" when you enter and make a [reasonable] lower offer on anything you might want to buy and things should be fine read more

Legendary is known for their cowboy guns, but they have milsurps and other stuff too. Before I retired as a police sergeant, I bought plenty of tactical AR items such as Giles slings there. Legendary just sold me an awesome 1937 Mauser made Luger pistol at a fair price. I used their layaway plan, which is very simple. Give them 30% down and you figure out how you want to give them the balance within 90 days. Can't get any more accommodating than that. That makes two WW2 German firearms I have bought there this year. read more

I stopped in today looking for a specific item only to be treated more rudely than I have experienced in any business in a LONG time. I started to ask a man behind the counter whom I had been directed to talk to about the item I was looking for and was abruptly cut off in mid sentence and the person I was talking to just walked away. I expressed my opinion that what had just happened was rude and the sales associate standing beside me said, "What was rude? I didn't see anything." Despite this, I tried to overlook it and look around the store at some antique weapons. I found one old gun on a rack I had some interest in. After picking it up and inspecting it for a couple minutes I asked the sales associate who was sitting on a folding chair a couple feet away why it had no information tag or price. He just looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and went back to looking at the pistol he was inspecting. As this was happening, the guy who had originally walked away came walking by to go into the office so I asked him for information on the antique gun I was holding. He kept walking and said, "I think it might be Austrian, I haven't had any time to look it up." I knew enough about the gun, which is why I was interested in it to know it is NOT Austrian. In any other gun shop I would have purchased that gun and gone hoem with a new piece in my collection, BUT this gun shop is now on my "NEVER AGAIN. NO F---ING WAY EVER" list. read more

They do a lot of advertising instead should spend more on training. Went in looking for s specific "COWBOY" gun which they did not have. When I asked if they could order one was told "WHAT DO WANT ME TO DO". When I asked if could call as see if the gun is available I was told if he called would I buy the gun. My next question was how much will it cost. Was told "I do not know". I just walked out. They should listen to their own add. Maybe they could learn something. read more

I was told to go here and talk to the owner about buy a 38 special, I needed a gun for hiking and told him what animals I need it to bring down and as soon as I told him he was rude and also said I would never see those animal ever by the way I have ran into a mountain lion and angry havalina and some crazy coyotes and ALOT of snakes so he was wrong I do alot of deep deep desert hiking and off roading by my self, but the owner was very rude treated me like a idiot and then stopped helping me everyone there but 2 people are rude. I had heard a lot of good things about this gun shop, I was looking so forward to visiting this gun shop as I am in the market for an older model rifle, so I drove over 50 miles to see the store, day before Mothers day, One thing this is not a Female friendly gun store, sales people would rather deal with men. My questions were answered but, not as thorough as other gun stores I purchase from. They do NOT answer emails, phone calls are answered a bit rude, I guess that depends on who is answering the phone @ their shop. The rifle I purchased has an issue. I am going to have to go back & see if they are going to take care of the issue with the rifle. I was told by the heavy set salesman & the man in the back office (back by rifles) confirmed that they inspect all used firearms & ALL are in good working order, apparently this is not a true fact. Also told 30 day warranty on the purchase, if a problem to bring it back. Once I see how I am treated & how they take care of the issue with the rifle I will edit this review but for now 2 stars would be all I can give @ this point. I will say they need to change/improve how they deal with female customers as females are buying more guns. 5/12/2014 I returned the rifle, Dave had one of his guys check it out, something was lodge in barrel, they cleared the barrel, but rifle still not working correctly, would not fire, breach would not close all the way, Dave was very good about taking this used rifle back, as it was defective, they returned the $$ I paid with their company check. Hopefully I do not have any problems getting this check paid. I changed my review to 3 stars because they good about taking the defective rifle back, but feel that I was told an untruth to begin with about the used rifle being in good working order, the truth is they did follow through taking it back within the 30 days of purchase. If you are going to buy anything here make sure it works first before paying for it. *** They did have a Lady in the store not sure if she works there, although I felt I was treated better this time around. As a native Phoenician, I think its important to support local businesses. I live near Bethany Home Rd and 7th Avenue so the store is conveniently located to my home. Last year I purchased a used 22 single shot rifle for my partner and I added a scope and a case, spent just under $300.00. It was right before Christmas and was very busy so I was not surprised when the service wasnt great, trying to help many people. It was not the gun she wanted so I took it back this year looking to purchase a different gun. She never shot or even took it out of the case. They were not interested in taking it back, and were pretty rude about it. I understood it was used and I am sure there isnt a big need for single shot 22 rifles, I decided to give them a second chance and went in to purchase her a new 22 rifle that has a 10 bullet clip.. As a return customer who was ready to spend money, I thought I would be treated with some respect, but was not. So again my partner isnt happy with this gun either. Guess I should have just given her the money and had her pick out her own gun. Regardless, I called the store and asked if they would take it back on a trade if she went in to pick out what she wanted. Again, gun never taken out of the box or shot. I asked what their return policy is on a new gun. They said its still considered used because we took it out of the store, I understand that, but they said they werent interested in taking it in even on a trade. I was on the phone with 2 different gentlemen and both were very rude and I refuse to even walk into their store again, let alone purchase a third gun from them. One can only assume somehow the folks that work at Lendary Guns must be independently wealthy and are not in need of making sales. read more
