He was kind enough to notify of a place where a crack in the tile joint was allowing water to flow from the hot tub and washing out the grout by seeping under the tile. Pretty easy fix but it had already loosened some of the tile and needs attention by doing a bit of re-grouting and sealing. Fantastic work at a reasonable price. A bit higher than the last outfit that removed calcium with a pressure washer but largely by mechanical scraping taking three people but still did not get it 100% removed. I strongly advise against using Township Pools / Total Pool Care. Our Grand Harbor pool took nearly eight months to complete. The company blamed weather, preferences, other contractors, and supply issues, but the real problem was poor placement and substandard work by their subcontractors. I've spent over $40,000 correcting defects. I'm usually private and don't like airing grievances, but I want to warn others. Their communication is unprofessional: read their reviews- anyone that has something negative to say they have publicly disclosed reviewers' names and locations, which I find very inappropriate. Every time we thought the project was moving forward, setbacks and more setbacks occurred. I wanted a serene back yard after my 2 surgeries and cancer diagnosis, last year. Now I look out my windows and cringe at what the last 8 months have done to me personally and financially. If you're considering them, research thoroughly. It is best to use someone that is highly recommended by folks you actually know and can look at the work for yourself. Butterfly promptly called me back, tried to help me troubleshoot over the phone and when that didn't work, they stopped by on a Sunday. WOW! First off, they have been the most expensive quote I've ever received. We've had the worst luck with pool companies - mainly the guys just quit showing up. The reason for the higher price was "our pool was more complicated than most." It is large and has a strange design, so at the end of the day, I agreed to what they quoted and honestly - just wanted someone reliable. The first 3 weeks were great. The guy came every Monday as that was our scheduled cleaning day. 2 weeks ago no one showed up at all. By the time he showed up the following week on Tuesday (no one showed up on Monday and I had to call) - the pool was green. Technician treated it and turned all pumps off and put pool into service mode. I just assumed he'd be back in a day or so. Here it is the following Friday, 10 days since they last came and since our pumps have been on and still no one has showed up. I have called everyday this week and every day I'm told "it will be either today or first thing in the morning." And that's when I can actually get someone to return my call. I left a message this morning at 10:30 asking for a manager to call. It's 1:30 - still nothing. I would typically get put there and work on it myself (although I shouldn't have to since I'm paying for a service) but we are dealing with summer travel sports and we just aren't home a lot. I can't even turn the pumps on from my phone because if it being in service mode. So frustrating. Would definitely not recommend this company.
