He did a quick preliminary diagnosis and gave me a fair quote for the alternator parts and labor. A few hours later, instead of just doing the expensive repair, he called me and explained that the alternator was actually fine -- the real problem was a wire that was shorting out and causing the symptoms. The repair ended up costing significantly less than expected because they were honest enough to fix the actual issue instead of replacing parts I didn't need. I also had them change the fluids and filters while it was there. He said it looked like my spark plugs needed changing as well. Everything was completed quickly and professionally. It's hard to find shops that are this honest and transparent these days. Highly recommend Total Care Transmissions for their integrity, communication, and quality work.

Matt lives in north county and I live in Santee, so he called Sparky's let them know what was up. I was to call to arrange to drop it off. Matt said the gentleman he spoke with, John, I believe, was super cool I called and spoke with John and he was indeed super cool. I made arrangements to drop off the truck the following day. The next day when I arrived I was greeted by John and he was as super cool in person as he was on the phone. I immediately knew why Matt picked Sparky's to take care of his truck. My first use of their services was for alignment for new tires on our 3 autos from www/sd.motoring.com. Since then, we've had new tires and front-end alignment for our daughter's car as well - all great service from both companies! Recently that "daughter auto" was afflicted with a dead battery, leaving me puzzled how you navigate this sort of issue. I called Scot at Accurate Alignment simply trying to put together a plan of action. Not being familiar with the whole towing process, Scot's guidance was welcome in getting the car to his shop to move toward repairs. I hadn't looked to Scot's team as being able to also provide other "SERVICES" as their name suggests. With his help we had the car in his shop, and out with a new battery by 4:30 same day! Scot was his usual helpful, professional, friendly self, guiding me along the towing steps from AAA, to one of their towing agents, and on to Accurate Alignment SERVICES for our needed repairs. I had a great experience with this shop yesterday. My exhaust started shooting out heavy smoke and i was refereed to legends by a friend of mine. I called and was able to get seen day of, and not only found out i had a intake manifold issue but possible engine issues. Instead of doing all the work and pocket the money Mike did some research and found out i was still under new car warranty and referred me to a local dealership saving me at least 20!! If i ever need anything done to my 2017 m240i, I m going straight to this shop first. read more

Mike is the only place I'd take any cars to get diagnosed and fixed!! He's very knowledgeable about bmws and his service is second to none! All the other shops I went to wanted close to double the price mike asked. He replaced my water pump, thermostat, oil filter housing gasket, and valve cover gasket. Took my Passat in for an oil change and a gasoline smell. They charged me $275 to diagnose and could find anything. Said it was likely a gas cap. Charged me $50. $325 for nothing! I can accept the $110-120 for the oil change. The problem did not go away. Took it to another German specialist in town and they immediately diagnosed it as fuel pump and fuel module. They said it was common and pretty basic. They see it often. Did Kotters not even check? I also told them that from what I had read online, based on my symptoms, it was likely a fuel pump, and evap hose, or charcoal canister. They discounted me.
