This review is long overdue for the outstanding service I've received from Legends BMW. My BMW 440i started making a loud noise during acceleration, so I took it to the BMW dealership for diagnosis. The dealer quoted an extremely expensive repair. Looking for a second opinion, I found Legends BMW through Google and decided to give them a try. When I arrived, I met Mike, the owner, who was incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and professional. After a quick inspection, he immediately identified the issue as a faulty parking brake bracket. Not only did he provide a very reasonable quote, but he also accommodated me the same day and had the repair completed quickly and efficiently. Based on that experience, I later brought my BMW X5 to Mike for a windshield washer fluid leak. Once again, he diagnosed the problem accurately, offered fair pricing, and repaired it completely. The dealership had quoted a significantly higher cost for the same repair. It's rare to find an independent BMW specialist who combines technical expertise, honesty, fair pricing, and exceptional customer service the way Mike does. From now on, both of my BMWs will be going exclusively to Legends BMW for all maintenance and repair work. I took my 2012 X5 diesel in to have the glow plugs changed as well as the front brake pads replaced. I was planning to drop the car off, but when when I got there the owner Mike told me it would only be about an hour to do the work. I was able to observe as we was taking part of the engine apart to get to where the glow plugs are located and just watching the way he went about taking parts off the engine, it was clear how knowledgeable and experienced he was working with a BMW. When I take my car in, I want it to go to someone who really knows what they're doing. The last thing I want is to have someone inexperienced working on my car. I will be taking my X5 back to Mike when its time for the next oil change and to do the rear brake pads. All of my BMWs will be getting serviced at Legends BMW Automotive from now on. read more

i got my 2013 BMW 328i m sport repaired my the man himself Mike Khayat. He went above and beyond to fix my 4 cylinder turbo car with a malfunction light. Mike kept me updated on his findings along the way .It may of well said to be a turbo replaced by bmw but mike recalibrated the waste-gate and saved me thousands of dollars. he really knows his stuff. I started working with Mike early last year when I bought a used N54 335i. (Those within the BMW community will already know where this is going.) The previous owner used an early version of JB4 which was a complete rat's nest within the DME. Eventually, this caused a no start issue. It would crank but no start. My friend recommended me to see Mike and not only did he spend hours untangling the rat's nest, he found the issue was the fuel pump wasn't getting primed. Fast forward another couple of months and my valve cover gasket was leaking (dumping) oil. Mike got this sorted out extremely quickly. Another few weeks go by and my oil pan gasket (now the weak point) starts leaking too! He mentioned this would take a couple of days but it was sorted out. Months go by and my clutch starts slipping. I figured it was time for an upgraded clutch and an LSD. Not only was Mike okay with me supplying my own LSD, he was able to tackle both of these jobs at once. All in all, he is a super solid guy and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for any needs! read more

I went to take my CLS Mercedes to legends BMW in vista. He gave me a quote for spark plugs and starter. It was half the price of the dealership. When I dropped it off he said he would check the hole car. Mike was amazing and honest he told me it was my spark plugs and I didn't need the starter. Where do I even start with this review. Mike is a stand up technician with up front integrity. Although he is primarily a BMW tech he helped me out with my Honda Odyssey helping me clear my check engine light and getting it ready for selling it so that the next owner doesn't have to have issues with it. I'm really pleased with my experience at Legends BMW Automotive. I was told by the dealership that I needed a new part that was rather expensive. I never noticed an issue that they told me about so I decided to get a second opinion. Mike who already ordered the part in question said there's no such problem with your car and that he would return the part for a refund. Mike is a super standup guy! He diagnosed a failed fuel pump in our 1999 BMW 528i Wagon. Then gave us the option to replace it with a factory pump, or aftermarket pump (for $150) less. He recommended the factory pump, but I went for the lower cost pump. Car drove great for a day, then left us on the side of the freeway the next day. Had it towed back to Mike, and the new pump had failed. He warrantied that pump and let us upgrade to the factory pump, and only charged us for the difference in the cost of the pump, no labor to change it out! I didn't expect this at all, as I was the one that chose the aftermarket pump. Very impressed with his knowledge and integrity! Thanks Mike! read more

He got back to me within the hour and gave me a comprehensive breakdown of what was going on and made sure I was good with pricing before proceeding.
