I am not a local and was passing through to grab breakfast. I ordered french toast and hash browns with a side of sausage, as well as a hot chocolate to drink. The food quality was really good, as was the service. It is not an artisanal restaurant and is much more of a solid at-home quality delicious food. The french toast serving is large, with 3 slices of a thicker-cut bread dusted with powdered sugar. The sausage is prepared by hand, so not a perfect disk. The hash browns were crispy and soft on the inside. The hot chocolate was perfect. The cost of the meal was right around $20, with the meal itself around $16. I'm from the DC area, so this was super reasonable. Worth it! The server's name is Naomi, and she was really attentive. Drinks were quickly refilled. Overall, accolades on the service. Ambiance was great. Feels open. I had access to power outlets, but they are oddly placed higher on the wall. I recommended adding a few outlets for laptops at the two-tops. Warm lovely welcome as we entered this fairly recently renamed Main Street eatery. That's exactly what you want from a dining escape from the noise of the world. The next special welcome for me was their soup board!!! I love soup ... as I gazed the options I wanted all of them but I have been wanting perhaps needing chili (Not too spicy the staff member said but really good!). My lunch partner went for the Chicken Corn Chowder that I was also eyeing An extensive menu that still carries the former location's name but who but me would notice that. Restaurant start ups or take overs take time and money so I am all in favor of saving money on items visitors won't notice. Doing the "grilled cheese" sandwich lunch but those Mac and Cheese choices really looked good but ah I was choosing chili, right? Had a pleasant chat with one of the management team and enjoyed hearing about the dreams for Legends! We enjoyed a satisfying lunch with really good soup and great service. If you're in town for a concert Legends is just a block away. Warm your bellies with happiness and enjoy the comfort, we sure did! read more

I've Felt More Welcome I stopped into Legends on Main in Elkton hoping for a quiet spot and a cup of decaf. The only person working greeted me and handed me a menu, which was appreciated. When I asked about decaf, he brusquely replied, "I'd have to make a pot, and you'd have to drink it." I couldn't tell if he was joking, but it felt off--awkward at best, unwelcoming at worst. I sat down anyway, giving the place a chance, but after 5-10 minutes of being completely ignored--no follow-up, no water, no acknowledgment--I got up and left. Customer service matters, and unfortunately, Legends came up short. I've definitely felt more welcome elsewhere. read more

Here at 7:00 PM. Plenty of seats. Waittress seemed busy but I honestly don't know why. I ordered a side Caesar salad, my husband ordered tossed salad and 6 chicken wings. We figured we had plenty of time before an 8 o'clock concert a block away. Wrong. 15 minutes before side salad came and another 5 for wings. My husband said the wings were excellent. They added an extra wing which was nice. Probably a nice place but horrible service and no reason for it. Addendum- 6 customers in entire place, barmaid behind the bar. But I should say if the kitchen is slow, the waitress will be too. And I don't see a reason for 2 side salads to take that long. read more

Welcoming staff. Good came out in timely manner. Heard great reviews but we were disappointed. Field greens were iceberg lettuce. Tomatoes were cherry tomatoes on our both sandwiches. Ketchup bottle was greasy and obviously never cleaned. Dried ketchup on the bottle. Waitress was sweet but needs to be trained. Never came back to table to see if we needed anything. Never asked what kind of bread we wanted our sandwiches. I went up and asked her and waited for a refill on our drinks. When we asked for the bill and our plates were obviously clear she walked and got our check came back, and plates are still sitting in front of us. A man that was sitting at the bar, walked by and asked if he could take our plates I assume he was the manager? When she brought the check back, there was no pen. And no place to sign. The POS company Lavo does not supply a place to sign the checks. We won't be back despite the good reviews. read more

Breakfast...Service was good. Food was good but expensive. portion were small. Butter the toast! better than Jojo's or North East Restaurant. Probably the best sausage gravy in the county . Just add a big breakfast to the menu. read more

I have visited this establishment a handful of times since the new owners took over. I have brought multiple different people to this establishment as the food has always been good. Today I visited with my daughter for lunch and will not be returning. Although our waitress was absolutely wonderful and very accommodating, the cook ruined our experience at the restaurant. My daughter ordered a burger and asked for it on a wrap instead of a bun, if this was something that couldn't be substituted I would've thought the waitress would've said, but instead she said that was fine. Apparently the Cook did not agree with it being fine to substitute, and continued to complain loudly and cuss about my daughter right in front of us as the kitchen is an open kitchen. My daughter was so embarrassed, almost to the point of tears. I am shocked at the unprofessional behavior of this employee. What makes matters worse is that the owner was sitting at the table directly next to us and did nothing about the situation even after the waitress told him that the cook was complaining about something that he had to make. It seems to me that the staff should not be complaining out loud about anything for the customers to be able to hear, maybe that's just me. read more
