This place is SO COOL! My family and I came to New York to visit and I just so happen to see this place on Google maps. This stop wasn't on my agenda, but I figured my two little boys would enjoy just walking around the store. However, this place is so much more than just a store! This shop has two stories filled with different Legos to purchase (flowers, towns, Disney, characters, animals, etc), NUMEROUS built masterpieces, and several open play areas for creativity. This stop became more of an experience than just a place to browse. I loved all the photo opportunities and seeing the amazing creations at every corner. Legos are just one of those classic toys that is loved by people of all ages. I didn't even plan on buying anything, but I did walk away with a New York Postcard Lego set. It was the perfect souvenir to commemorate the visit. This store has so many options to choose from. You can definitely find the perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, etc. You seriously can never go wrong with gifting someone a Lego set. Date of visit: April 12, 2026 A popular stop on the edge of the 30 Rock area, expect a line when you show up if you are coming at a peak time. Even then the store is a bit of controlled chaos, but there are two floors to explore and some very impressive displays, from the New York yellow cab that you can actually sit in, to the replica Broadway show posters on the way up to the second floor. One of the cool things here are the items that are exclusive to the store and noted as such with a small tag next to the price on the shelf. Keep an eye out for these as you traverse the store should you be looking for something unique to bring home. Going to this Lego store was so much fun! My son walked in and immediately compared it to the Lego discovery center in dc because there were so many photo opportunities and places to build. We spent about an hour just looking around and discovering the fun. It was very crowded, but it was still amazing in every corner you looked. My biggest drawback is that there was nothing exclusive to the store so it seemed. We found one little New York section, but I felt like I had seen some of those kits before in other not New York locations. read more

This is, hands down, the best Lego store I have ever been and I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the best in the country, if not the world. From the second I stepped in I could understand why there was space for an entrance line. The store definitely feels like a Lego museum with shopping vs a toy store with some Lego displays. There are massive brick built displays everywhere. The central point being a massive tree that reminded me of the large tree they have at the Lego House in Billund, Denmark. They also have a fantastic NYC theme build wrapped around the staircase to the second floor. You really can't go anywhere with some massively impressive build. Staff here is just as great as any other Lego Store. They're friendly, helpful, and will give you suggestions/tips that give the sense that they are there because they love Lego more than selling you things. I will say the person who checked me out at the end seemed like he was tired & ready to go home, but I wouldn't say he wasn't friendly. Prices here are the same anywhere else you go. They're not marking things up because they are at a busy tourist area or whatever. I do, however, wish they maybe had some exclusive sets or mini figures. They have a few NYC centric displays, but they're all products you can buy online or any other store. I know it's not necessarily the most profitable thing to design and sell sets just for one store, but I just feel like having at least one exclusive set would elevate this store to levels even higher than it's already at. read more

There is a line forming at the door to enter the store; wait time wasn't too long about five minutes. Once inside, the store is a Lego dream-land with many tourists snapping pictures and plenty of Lego selfie opportunities all over. There is a build your own Lego station for kids and adults to create their own Lego art and of course eventually purchase the product. Due to the amount of people and lots of colorful strobe lights, it became a bit overwhelming for me. Had to leave the store after 15 minutes. It's possible my expectations are out of whack but I found this store pretty underwhelming. There are some great displays but nothing interactive or otherwise engaging. Throughout, there are several stations where you can build miniature Lego people. Upstairs there are some options to customize a Lego miniature or a mosaic but that's all you'll find. Who doesn't love LEGOS??? We made appts for our children to make a Lego miniature figure. Here is my 10 year olds review- 3/10 for actual creative freedom of design. You were only allowed to create the shirt ( body) but it would've been nice to create a hair style or change up the face a little. To make it your own for real. The price was $12 per kid Lego Builds Sets- a lot to choose from, a little overwhelming by all the choices. Glad we went twice so she could see all the sets and make the right choice. Our boys had a blast in this HUGE 2-story Lego store! Although it was busy with other families, it didn't feel too cramped- which was nice. This store practically had everything and some newer sets we haven't seen. When we were ready to check out, line was cleared and our cashier was very friendly and welcoming. This store is located next to the Rockefeller Center. Also, I regret not taking photos of the window displayed they had outside- so cool! Guess you'll just have to check out this store yourself! Naomi, the store manager, was amazing. She was incredibly welcoming and took the time to connect with our family, which really stood out. She even gave a shout-out to my kids' channel, Everyday with D & J, since they're regulars at the LEGO stores -- that meant a lot to us and made the experience feel truly special. My favorite crazy busy Lego store in NYC. Always packed and have long line outside the store. I live in NYC and I know this location is super touristy but I still enjoy coming to get some Legos one in a while (mostly I buy it online) The different between online and actual store is they have a seasonal stuff like PAB (Pick a Brick) and BAM (Build a Minifigure) That will change every quarter. read more

Super cool store. Never understood why there was always such a long line outside, but I think I know now. When you go inside, they have a little station where you can build three mini LEGO people for 9.99. If you want to treat your kids to a fun EXPERIENCE where they can take home customized SOUVENIRS and you can kill some time- this is the place. We had wanted to do the customized miniatures but the machine was broken so we showed up and ended up not being able to. I wish they would've given us some sort of warning ahead of time. There's always a huge line for this store and my friend told me you can make your own lego, which was something I always wanted to do. The make your own lego was a bit less exciting than I expected - they have a ton of different body parts and accessories you can use to fashion a lego - but there's no way to really "personalize" it to yourself to a great degree. It was pretty cheap, though (I think you can do 3 for $10 or something like that). All in all, a lot smaller than I expected and definitely not something worth waiting in line for, but for lego fans it can be fun to stop by and see the lego models. read more

I made a surprise visit to the Lego Store. I have honestly never been. I went with a family friend who was showing me around and told me about all of the cool sets he had purchased and put together. He also showed me how to customize my own Lego character. I learned that I was able to pick out a pair of bottoms for my character, two accessories, a head, and hair. When I scanned my box on the machine I was able to customize a shirt for my character. You can either add pre-designed stickers or you can draw or write your own pictures and words. I drew a pink heart on the front of my shirt and I had my friend sign the back and I signed the back as well. I also chose a light blue pair of pants, a miniature Jeffrey Coons dog, a chicken, and pink hair. The character also came from a stand that says my name on it. The store was really cool and I'm not sure how they made all of the Lego decorations on the walls. It was impressive. read more

I hesitate to give someplace like a LEGO store 5 stars, but this one is worth it. There's a bunch of cool things to see that you won't see elsewhere and you can build/design your own minifigures. So, this is a LEGO store, but it's also a lot more. They have a ton of different amazing lego sculptures that you can just stand in awe of or take photos with. The most recent time I was there they had a full-size NY taxi with marvel heroes around it, the Empire State Building, the statue of liberty, Mario and Luigi, and Hulk among other things. Beyond that, they have things I've never seen anywhere else including making your own minifigures. You can either pick from a bunch of pre-made parts or they even had custom printed torsos where you could design the pattern. My son made a ninja torso and I made my daughter a mermaid torso. They also had a way to turn a photo into a lego mosaic. Kind of cool all around. read more

Went to the Lego Store on President's day and got there right before it opened at 11:00 am and there was a line around the corner. The wait was not too long. However they only let a certain amount of people in at a time because it can get a bit hectic in there. The store was amazing but smaller than I expected. They seemed to have had full stock as the shelves were loaded with Legos for all ages. They have huge Lego displays throughout the store which makes it appealing to the eyes. Not to sure how much Legos should cost but I seen no problem with people purchasing multiple lego items. The place has two stories - so make sure you explore both floors. The items are bit pricy for my taste, but looking around is ok :) I was visiting with family from Korea and one of the cashier, out of the blue started talking in Korean, granted he was still learning, he told us that he was learning Korean and other languages to be able to have basic communication with visitors from different parts of the world. For fans of our favorite little interlocking bricks, there is nothing like visiting an official LEGO Store, especially the giant ones in cities around the world. Each one is special, with giant commissioned LEGO sculptures highlighting the cities they're in. This location is at Rockefeller Center, easy to get to. The art deco vibe of the area is seen in the outside windows, but once inside it's all LEGO. Two stories of fun can be found here; plenty of picture taking opportunities abound, plus ample selections of all the new sets. They even have some exclusives items for New York, great for souvenirs at prices for any budget. The staff here are friendly as is typical for the stores - they are known for not basing pay on sales so no hassle here. Even if you aren't planning on buying sets, it's worth visiting just for the spectacle. I have a memory of the old store here, which was white and brightly lit; the new one is kind of the opposite - dark and fun yet showing off all the colors and NYC scenes.
