I love this store very much because it is so cool, the service, selection, and value of it is incredible.

I love coming to the store. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. I was trying to make my own princess crown and both Megan and Marc helped me out with getting the correct pieces. There are also children and adult builds on select days. Since I'm still a newbie to building Legos these guys helped me out with my adult build. Lol. Very well organized store, always fully stocked with new Lego sets. Will be coming back for more toys soon.

I live over 50 miles away but my work is close by to this Lego store so I stop in from time to time as there is no Lego store in the inland empire. Most stores are overly crowded and a pain to get into. However this store at least during the week is far less than crowded. Angela is always my go to person when I am making my purchases. She's incredibly helpful and very outgoing and very knowledgeable of the sets as well. I ended up purchasing the world map during my most recent visit as it kept being sold out online when I wanted to buy it. They got 5 in that day and had already sold 2. I rushed to that store on my lunch to purchase the set and by far it's the best Lego set I have bought BY FAR! It's simply amazing. My previous visit I did quite the purchase as well which should keep me busy for a few weeks but I will be back soon. Thank you to everyone at this store for always going above and beyond. Especially a thank you to Angela!

What a terrific staff of people, helpful, upbeat, kind and happy to make a child's dream come true! After waiting two hours on New Year's Day, my son could not have been happier as we purchased what he had been waiting for. It was a memory I will always remember and a big "Thank You" to the employees of Lego Mission Viejo for making it a happy day for our son Daniel!

They even have a decent selection of older toys you won't be able to find elsewhere. Especially blind bag/box toys that are all the rage. For example, I saw Lego CMFs that were 2+ series old in stock. That really surprised me. And for a decent price too. I will say the staff is kinda non existent. They stick to the register & monitor things from there. If you need help, they'll do so, but the won't go out of their way. Prices are also...fine. I think you're paying a tad for convenience & to cover their retail space overhead. It might be cheaper to find some of these things online, but you can get them right then & there which, for me, will trump saving a couple dollars buying online. Optimus Toys brought me back to my childhood when you walked in to a toy store & were mesmerized with the potential of all the toys. Sure it's to a much smaller scale here, but it's still a fun place to check out and to show your kids. It's w great place to bring kids before their birthdays to scope out what types of things they might want for gifts.

Their pricing is usually about $10 more than msrp, which is honestly so good compared to buying directly from resellers. They're always so friendly too! I also love that they limit pokemon tcg to one item per person. So if they have booster bundle and etbs, you can only choose one of them. They also sell loose packs from a booster box, where you can buy a max of 6. I truly love that they limit everyone to one so that there's enough to go around. We've been able to score some packs for decent pricing since pokemon had an uptake in collectors :) Aside from that, they also sell smiskis and sonny angels as well for about msrp!

Having to wait for their help because they are mid-bashing customers is an awkward feeling - but they manage to deliver on that. Asking for their help on anything makes me feel I owe them something or am completely creating a nuisance for them. The best way to sum up shopping at Game Chest is shopping for fun games but judged by mean bullies. The two individuals working Saturday were miserable. FWIW, in the past, there was a very nice gentlemen who was helpful and pleasant but that was at the spectrum center. You could tell he enjoyed games and speaking about it. And for those who want to say, "you don't have to go if you don't want" - I know and I won't.

Top Canvas also has other locations (Alhambra, Downey, Torrance, and Milpitas in Northern California) that operate as collectible stores and this is the only Top Canvas location that runs as a claw machine arcade. [Parking]: Easy and free parking at The District at Tustin Legacy. [Selection & Price]: Apparently the shop redesigned their claw machines and prize system in recent months. Players can now trade plushies for points and use those points to redeem more desirable prizes. As for trade-in prizes, they have selected signed Funko Pop figures / giant Pokémon plushies / other generic plushies (25%), blind boxes (50%), and graded Pokémon cards / booster packs / other collectibles (25%). Personally it would be better if they had fewer blind boxes as trade-in prizes and focused more on curated Sanrio plushies or unique action figures. [Point system]: For play packs, $10 = 20 tokens, $20 = 42 tokens, $50 = 110 tokens, and $100 = 230 tokens. Claw machines with numbered stickers indicate how many points each plush is worth and most machines indicate 15 points per plush. Blind box trade-in values range from 45 points to 125 points. [Conclusion]: It is nice to have claw machines with a higher win rate than places like Round1 + the ability to trade plushies for better prizes, but I do think their prizes are not as good as places like Round1. Personally I still prefer other claw machine spots like Infinity Claws in Rowland Heights and I also like Top Canvas's collectible stores better than this claw machine-only concept store. P.S. - Players can ask the staff to rearrange plushies in some machines.

Let's be clear, this is a nice toy shop with a good selection of well curated items, ready to catch the hearts and minds of any unsuspecting child and parent. Once you step inside, you've already lost. We purchased (among other items) one specific Robot for $90, later to find out MSRP was $40. Upon trying to return, we faced the "No Refunds" rhetoric, which is both poorly communicated and atypical the US over. I was told that "we don't get the same price as Amazon or Target" - Okay, I get that (thanks for the economies of scale lesson), but let's follow the logic to sense check the feeble justification for price gouging: 1. Purchase item at MSRP from any regular store of online retailer ($40) 2. Think of a number. Hmmm......I like 125. Great, 125% price inflation it is. Yay! 3. Apply price inflation to item, and strategically label out of sight (or not at all). A simple discussion to this effect with the young man working in the store of course fell on deaf ears. He just kept repeating that he didn't get that price from a distributor, however that simply doesn't make sense. STAY AWAY from this place. There are better independent store in Orange County.
