For anyone that is planning on staying here, I'd like to point out that while a security gate is listed on the parks website, it is only for the section where there are seasonal/permanent spots (I'm not really sure what's happening here) that's located in a separate section of the park that has the lake in it, with what appeared to be only water and electric hook ups. I am including a few photos of aforementioned. You can come to your own conclusion. We left after 5 nights of our prepaid, non refundable 2 weeks ($840) when both of our vehicles were vandalized. The park also may want to put a stop to the, in my opinion, creepster in the blue mini cooper who thinks he's Roscoe P. Coltrain. Hes not doing the park any favors. And I see he's been awarded a few mentions in other peoples reviews as well. read more

I love it here. My fiancé and have been here for almost 3 years now and it has been nothing but wonderful. The park has been undergoing some beautiful additions, like the community fire pit with the adult swings and the maintenance had really been great with making the grounds beautiful. I enjoy camping full time here! The friends we have made have become our family; really taking care of one another! It's our little slice of paradise! I love it! read more

Lehman's RV park is a very horrible place to stay. The grounds are not taken care of. Potholes in the concrete, the tree branches have grown wild, and they are not clipped, the bath house is very filthy and the Wi-Fi does not work. The water is brown so don't drink it. It will make you sick and you will be vomiting. also the water stains your sinks, and tub. During the rainy season it floods an awful lot and many people lost their RVs due to water damage The staff there is very rude, especially Karen she's the owner and she's very greedy. She has cheated me out of money and also she goes around looking to fine people for breaking her little rules. If you disagree with Karen, she will kick you out point blank. If you get into a confrontation with her, don't bother calling the police. They will only side with her and her staff because they are affiliated somehow. Perhaps family members or relatives. ? The good ratings are from people who just stay there for one or two nights. And sometimes they have staff members give them ratings. Karen the owner put a padlock on my water Spicket because I disagreed with her and she tried to force me out of the park. We travel in a motor home (43') towing. Had a pull thru site long enough to not unhook. The lady in the office was so friendly and helpful. She told us about a pizza place that would deliver. It was delicious Escorted us to our site and helped us park. Yes, it's not a full frills campground but for those who travel in motorhomes and need a stop for the night this was perfect. Easy access from interstate. No tight turns or low trees. We would return. Only reason for 4 stars, the sites could use a little more gravel for parking. read more

Do yourself a favor and RUN away from this place. It's a pile of crap and that's being kind. I rarely review but the experience was soo awful I need to warn others. Another reviewer mentioned a creepy older man that's looking to start fights. Same thing happened to us. Screaming and yelling at us that we are going too fast. The car physically couldn't go any slower. Furthermore you can't go fast as there are major pothole thru out and you will damage your vehicle. They were yelling at us from the moment after they took our money. The pond is disgusting and filled with algae. The older man that sells firewood (I suspect the same "maintenance man" another reviewer mentioned) was taking unauthorized pictures of my family and I while we were out in the kayaks on the pond. I have small children (2 year old girl and 8 year old boy) so extremely inappropriate and CREEPY!! Guests arrive- they charge up to your site and rudely demand payment of $6 a guest. Family member was staying there and he was MORTIFIED. They won't let you use any other firewood than their own and it lasts maybe 30 seconds. Total rip off. Cable goes out constantly and for hours. We never did get ours back. Same with WiFi. Any positive reviews have to be family or friends of the owners as there isn't a single positive thing with this place. This review would have no stars if it were an option. When we first got there we almost decided to leave. The roads are horrible, more pot holes then road. The place looked very trashy no beauty at all. We had the impression that the lake would be accessible but it was gated so you have to walk there. The only rvs allowed inside by the lake were ones there for the whole season. So you are basically in a parking lot in the front. Then some "maintenance guy " harassed my daughter while she was driving to the play area saying she was going over the 5mph. Her car was idling at 10mph and she kept braking. He swerved in front of her car and slammed his breaks endangering her and my granddaughter. Then got out of the car screaming and swearing at her. My granddaughter got back to the site crying hysterically. The owner came over in her golf cart extremely rude to my daughter in law telling her she doesn't belong there. While the supposed "maintenance guy" came walking up to me puffing out his chest looking for a fight. My daughter in law called the police. I told her I was leaving and didn't like the place anyway. And that she should reimburse for the nights stay I paid for. She said " you're not getting anything back!" (Now I see why they only accept cash or check.) I'm not sure why this park has such a low rating...my family really enjoyed staying here, and we will very likely stay here again. The park only takes payments by cash or check, so just make sure you're prepared for that. The sites were well maintained and had a fire pit and table, the dog park was spacious and well-equipped with poop bags, the playground area was cute and clean, the staff members we interacted with were nice, and there was plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the nature. Cell service was a little slow but not horrible, and we were able to pick up several TV channels with our antenna. My family and I had a lovely weekend here and made some great memories. read more

We had a reservation here but the day before arrival the starter went in our RV. We called to cancel our reservation and they were very nice and said they understood and "don't worry about it" but then charged our credit card anyway. So thus being charged we asked for a receipt, so we could submit to our AAA plan as part of the expenses incurred due to the vehicle breakdown. We have made repeated calls and they have not sent a receipt. Doesn't make me want to go back and stay there next time we come through. And we are full time RV'er with family in the area so we will be this way again. A little customer service would go a long way. read more

Worst RV spot I've ever stayed at, and I stay at a lot since I travel for work. Water quality is awful, my hose nets have clogged several times from a gooey gray substance, and the water smells like sulfur. Owners will only allow for one vehicle at each site, reason unknown since sites are spaced far apart. This has been the biggest inconvenience staying here since I have all my work tools in my truck and have to walk 400 yards every morning up to the office just to go to work. They only accept cash payments for everything, rent, propane, shop items. They do have a sketchy ATM that only allows you to pull a certain amount at a time so be prepared to get charged a fee 3-4 times. On a good day they MIGHT have working laundry machines....MIGHT. Just overall a terrible experience. The photos on google and apple show a wonderful place to stay... don't let it fool you! read more

Warning *** The pictures are not true to what you get or where you stay. Warning#1; Do not drink the water!!! It might come out a little clear but if you let it sit for a couple seconds, it will turn brown. In the shower the water feels like slime. I literally started losing my hair. I stayed here for a couple months to help a friend in the late winter months and it was the worst experience of my life!!! Warning #2; They act very nice when they are checking you in and when you contact them to make a reservation. They have a no money back policy and that's where they get you because once you are in and paid up they turn on you!!! Warning #3;The roads are absolutely all tore up huge potholes everywhere and in the beginning they have 5 mile an hour speed limits posted as you enter the park. I was not speeding not driving crazy or anything. It's a very short ride from where we were staying to the shower facilities. I literally was accosted in the parking lot by the owner's nephew. He came running out of the office straight up to my window. He got in my face yelling and screaming at the top of his lungs calling me swear words and everything. Telling me that he can have me evicted and thrown off the premises that he was going to call the police on me and just going off. I was shocked and confused. This was totally unwarranted and unexpected and very unnecessary and traumatizing. Warning #4; When I went to use the shower and bathroom facilities one time with my friend the nephew literally kicked my friend out of the shower and said they had to clean. He came banging on the the woman's bathroom screaming maintenance is anybody in there, and I ignored him and just kept taking a shower otherwise I don't doubt i would have been kicked out too. The nephew would bang on the door all the time screaming maintenance we need to close. (This happened any time of the day) It seems to me that the scam is, they get you in when they get you in, get your money, then they want to kick you out so they don't have to take care of anything or do anything. Warning #5; They don't keep bathrooms stocked with toilet paper. They claimed it was being stolen so they will no longer provide. This place is not anything like what they post on their website and I don't know how they are in good standing with Good Sam Club unless these are their standards as well. They are a really bad facility to stay at and the people are absolutely bullies and horrible to other people. There have been a lot of accidents, murder's and death here too. Warning#6; They have the worst internet service. TV got 3 channels and service was shotty on phone. Warning #7; Don't get the propane tanks they offer. They aren't even full and you can get them cheaper anywhere else!!! If you're looking for a nice place to go with your family and think that you're gonna end up enjoying yourselves camping, It's not going to happen here!!! And honestly it's not surprising once you've had the unfortunate experience staying here as I call it "Camp Lehmans" You've been warned! I only speak on my personal experience here. Decent place besides since 2023 Lehman's have closed about 3-4 days the week and when calling to refill my propane tank I have to wait a whole day which wastes a lot of propane especially if you have to run it due to the cold weather read more

This place is such a dump!! The playground is covered in weeds, the pavement is uneven, the sewer hook up isn't right. The bathrooms are clean and they have showers, but they are not overly convenient. I'm not sure what amenities this place has beyond a bathroom. If the koa wasn't booked we wouldn't be here! This campground could be so great in fact it was great until the current owner (Karen ) ( that should tell you almost everything you need to know) took it over from her farther which built the place to where it is now. Since Karen has taken over the place has started to look like a dump. To top it all off she only accepts cash so she can run into town and blow it all on the slot machines. I was told that this was a nice place, boy was they were wrong. They had put me in a swap my camper sets on a rock pad about two feet up from ground level. I got four steps down and at the end it slopes down into the swap. I had paid for one month ($510.00) + deposit ($300.00) + electric, for a swap site. There is no sewerage hook up, only water and electric. Which they didn't bring me a tank that I was supposed to use for dumping my gray water into. There's no refunds, only the deposit ($300.00) Now I've been here for three months and I was so post to get moved to a full hookup site and never did. Don't count on getting a good camping site specially if it had rained in the last week. All the sites will hold Water for days. read more

I agree with most of the other bad reviews. The roads are full of pot holes and crumbling. The laundry machines were not clean and some out of order. Most sites are on uneven gravel. No signage to tell you the office is all the way to the back of the park. The cable did not work because the line had been cut back in April! Requested a reduction in nightly rate but was refused. I Used this place to refill my LP cylinders ... Thinking it seemed a bit light , I weighed the cylinder, it was only 14 pounds. Recently booked this place for three days. Didn't look to bad from pics but something told us we should take a ride over there and check it out! The sign out front over grown kinda falling apart! Others said roads full of pot holes and yes they were!! The first trailer we saw were seasonal grass not mowed no shade and theses sites from map looked to be the 50 amp sites! Some of theses sites were roped off don't know why? Thought it was kinda weird the office was clear at the back instead of front! Play ground area not well kept paint peeling! So many bad reviews in this place after we made reservation. We decided to still try the place. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We were greeted upon arrival and escorted in. They unfortunately had been hit with tons of rain lately so some areas were flooded. Certainly not their fault. But the smell wasn't pleasant near the flooding. The kids loved the lake. I'm not a fan of not seeing my feet in the water so I stayed to the shallow end to cool off. There were free paddle boats and kayaks. They even had free life jackets for all 4 kids which made me so happy. It is not a place we would want to have a permanent site but it's not a long drive from home and for a quick last minute camping trip we would come again. It definitely had more of a overnight, passing through feel than other places that feel more cozy. read more

The roads all have big ruts in them, dead trees all over , ponds are green, water was horrible, several machines in the laundry room were broken (one dryer took 30 minutes to warm up), and some of the staff were very rude. We were staying for a month or two but after the way they treated us, we left after a month. They asked for a $300 deposit when we reserved a spot and thought it would go towards our first month rent but when we checked in, they told us it wouldn't be returned until we left. We wanted to leave at 9:00 am but were told if we wanted our refund, we had to wait until noon. We were there for 2 weeks when they made us move to another spot with no explanation why. All these bad reviews are accurate.... another 1 star from us. We travel for work and have many of us here. Not 1 of us is happy with the ownership or facility. Rude beyond words. Our guys work 7 days a week for many months straight and bring a lot of $$ in an area when we arrive. The campgrounds we choose to stay at are ALWAYS appreciative of the unexpected additional $$ we provide and are so accommodating to our hard working men that work long hours. NOT THIS PLACE.... we have never experienced such rude and unappreciative people. And the internet NEVER works unless you stand outside the office and the cable gets a couple good channels. My wife and I recently camped at this campground and fell in love with it. We started out with a small issue but the facilities manager, Jerome, was able to rectify the situation quite quickly and with professionalism. After a weekend stay my wife and I fell in love with the location and decided to get a seasonal lot. This was after I was looking for over two years to find a suitable location. We had our fifth wheel camper delivered to the site and JeromeJump right in to help us place the trailer, Lavalette and get it set up. This is the kind of service you should expect at this location. The lake has a beach and the fishing is fantastic. This is like a little hidden gem. I highly recommend the location. read more

Stay away from this place!!! Kids playground has rotted wood that's been painted over. The lady who calls herself "Stormy" is a complete and utter bitch. They will not refund your money, and from what I hear, it's now turned into a cash operation which screams scam. The owner will never talk to you because she's a coward and a con. Go further west and use the other campgrounds on Route 20. Electric on sites will blow out your converter and cable doesn't work. "Swimming pond" resembles a sewage pond. BEWARE!!!!! This RV " resort " is nothing but a toxic wasteland. Due to the recent rain the lakes and 95% of the campsites were flooded resulting in the sewers backing up into the standing water and people's campers. Everyone is understanding when something like this happens, but the thing is, this isn't the first time this has happened. Actually, during our stay it happened twice and it wasn't until the health department was contacted that they took action. The owner, Karen, along with the other staff who also live on site, had clean water, bathroom and laundry facilities while everyone else had to use contaminated water. They closed the laundry room as well as the restroom and showers leaving most people resorting to drastic measures. Children were playing in raw sewage because Karen and the staff reassured families the water was clean....how the hell can you look someone straight in the face and lie like that when there is feces and garbage floating everywhere! There were even families with special needs children and they didn't care! This place is only concerned with three things, MONEY, MONEY, and more MONEY!!!!! They also make it a habit of not refunding deposits and over charging for electricity. In retaliation they have raised their rates and stated the laundry facilities as well as the bathrooms and showers will be closed indefinitely. They also try to put oversized trailers in spots that are too small resulting in damage to other people's property. When informed of this the owner disregarded the incident. When campers try to have a civil conversation addressing all of the above issues I mentioned then Karen will call the police and threaten to throw you out. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE..........IT'S UNSAFE IN EVERY WAY!!!!! read more

THIS is a Warning about this campground! We talked to the lady in the office back in the end of August, hopefully to reserve a site around the for the 1st week of October. Reserved a space with a credit card and when we arrived, same lady said she didn't didn't have anything open, but would she could find somewhere to " stick us". We walked out. Do not waste your money or time with this park. We were seasonal for six years. Reason we stayed was wonderful fellow campers. Our electric never worked on our site. It blew a circuit board on our brand new camper. We got a surge protector and electric fried it. Then we went and purchased a new 300.00 one and that one showed we never were getting enough power to run the 30 amp. Never was it fixed completely and continued to have problems, until this year when we had no power all summer and had to move to another site. We were told it would be fixed, so we were waiting patiently for it to be fixed. Then come to find out in November, that they were not allowing us to renew. The reason?? They said we called the county on them. Well first, we did not do this. Second, if someone did, what difference does it make if you are running a legit business. So, now for the review, the roads are horrible. All of them need repair and none of them are getting it. Electric doesn't work on many sites, the owner will tell you she will fix it but never does. There is a mound of asphalt (used) on the area the call the island. Been there three years we were told it was to repair the roads, but has not been moved or used for this at all. As far as I am concerned a health hazard, first for the chemicals, second for the injuries that can happen when kids play on it. The water is not clean as it used to be. Has so much floating goose poop that you cannot swim in it safely. The rec hall where activities use to be held has bad order like mold and our whole family would have reactions after spending time in there. They advertise free Wi-Fi and cable. However, Wi-Fi and cable does not work. When you mention this you are told that they are not going to fix it anymore. She advertises activities, and this year notified everyone that there will be no activities. They overcharge for electric also. They do not maintain any of the grounds. Signs break and they leave them. Playground breaks and they leave it. They do not put any money into this place and if you need to discuss anything with the owner, she hides and doesn't return calls or anything. When people move into the seasonal sites, she charges the people extra money of there is a deck or concrete pad. Don't get the site with the nice deck and shed. That is the one we had with no power. I would never recommend this RV Park to anyone. When we moved in six years ago we had high hopes for it and we were told so many things were going to be improved, however nothing was done. When there was the flood due to high rains, the water to the campers was infected with sewage water. Everything was backed up and well water for people to use was bad. We stayed at Lehmans over the wknd (not our 1st choice but Hickory Hollow in Utica was booked) arriving on Fri afternoon Oct 16th intending to leave on Sun. We just wanted to get one more wknd in! They dont give you much info at checkin just a map. We were on what was a pull-thru, but not really. We had to unhook our car before pulling all the way in per camp worker's instructions. The concrete pad was extremely narrow and the site sloped horribly. The site had several piles of dog poop on it that I had to clean up before being able to walk around on it without worrying. Just before leaving on Sun my husband fell and ripped the top 1/3 of his little finger off-knuckle & all! Not haven been given any info on nearby hospitals (or anything else) & since I was outside I immediately went to the office for help. My husband was sitting on the stairs to the motorhome & I couldnt get my phone. The office told me to call 911 instead of doing it for me. I was in shock and not thinking. The people camped next to us came to our aid. Tim attended my husband & Connie called 911 and kept me calm. The ambulance came and took us to Sherman hospital in Elgin. My husband had surgery to clean up, amputate, and stitch his finger together(finger could not be reattached). The campground offered nothing, not even an apology. My husband was told no driving for at least 24 hrs and not while taking pain meds. The campground wouldn't even give us a break on the price for just leaving it there a couple days. I could drive the car home but am not proficient enough to drive our 43' motorhome. Thankfully we have friends not too far from there and they came and took our rig to their place. The rate for this nothing going for it campground is $51 a nite credit or $48 a nite cash. Ridiculous! I would never set foot in this place again. read more

The park floods, roads are full of pot holes; fire pits are located inconveniently on your site where you park your vehicle. Walk ways and roads are not shoveled properly. I witnessed someone slip and fall on a road thick with ice by the laundry room. Rent was just raised in the past month with a bare minimum done for park maintenance. They advertise spring water, Wi-Fi and cable in the brochure, but do not have theses amenities and its well water you do not want to drink. Some sites do not have electric. The first night I pulled in I was told by Karen the Park Manager the electric company had just come that day and it was my rig; her solution was to go to a hotel for the night after paying a month rent and a $300 security deposit. When I left the Park I was told Karen was in Florida and that she would send out a check for my security deposit. It's been over a month that I moved out; I have not received any money (security deposit). I have called the office several times, no one answers the phone and no one returns my voicemail. I hope you do not make the same mistake I did. read more

We camp there this Aug & Sept and the pictures that are on their site must have been taken when it first open, because it did not look that way when we got there. The resort does not have security gates only when you want to get to the lake and beach. then the office people don't want to give you a scan key to get through the gate, they tell you to park and walk down to the lake. The lake has scrum all on the top, there is no dock with paddle boats, or row boats. You don't want to swim in all that lake muck. The so call trails are all grown over and the place looks like a dump, I would not call this a resort.. It should be closed down, I don't recommend anyone staying here. I have read some of these reviews and these other people must be crazy to say that it's nice place. They probably never stayed it a nice place. Please stay away. read more

I would NOT recommend this campground to anyone!!! I made reservations with another family. We both were told it was a 72 hour cancellation notice over the phone. I had a situation that came up which required me to cancel so I called 4 days in advance. On the Friday that we were suppose to check in my bank account was debited the full amount for the site. I called right away, and Gail, who answered every time I called, asked me if I had given 72 hour notice. I said yes, I spoke to you on Monday and you said it would be cancelled no problem, but my account has been charged. She then said I don't know what is going on and you would need to talk to the owner, so I left my number for her to call me. Never received a phone call from Karen the owner, and I even called again at the end of the day asking if I could talk to her but she said she wasn't available. I showed up at the campground the next evening and found the owner to be in the office, so I questioned why she didn't return my call....her response was "I've been busy". Very Very rude woman!!! I advised her I gave her enough notice and she then stated she needed one week cancellation to fill the lot. She said she wrote it down that she told me one week, but couldn't prove it. They are just looking for ways to take your money, and there is no organization to these reservations. A really crooked way of doing business!!!!!!!!
