Lei's Garden is open daily at 4:00 PM for dinner serving Cantonese, Szechuan, and Polynesian cuisines. The menu offers house specialties such as roast duck, moo shi, pu pu platter and more. There are also 16 combination plates ($7.50-$9.50) on the menu. This remodeled restaurant has a lounge in the front and the step down dining room in the back. The lounge has hardwood floors with a small cocktail bar, table seating, TV and pool table. The casual dining room has ample booth and table seating, Chinese decor, fish tank, and a wooden round table with a small "Buddha statue" which the employees use to eat their meals. They really enjoy their noodles!! The large mirror along the wall makes the dining room seem bigger than it really is. I had dinner here recently. They give you a complementary large pot of hot tea and rolls with hot mustard and sweet & sour sauce. The Hot & Sour Soup is pretty good with a sweet taste. The Beef Teriyaki sticks are very tender and chewy. The Chicken Fingers are white meat chicken in a thick fried batter. The Boneless Spare Ribs are on the fatty side. The Egg Roll (minded cabbage & pork) is decent. The Pork Fried Rice is a dark color (covered in soy sauce). The Szechuan Style Lo Mein can be made mild to spicy, pretty tasty and greasy. For a Chinese restaurant, the service here was actually pretty good and attentive with the older waitress checking up on the meal and several refills on ice water given (the glasses are small). Most other Chinese places I've been to will serve the food and leave you alone.

New to Derry, we've been trying all the local restaurants to find our favorites. Earlier this week…read moreI had a craving for Chicken Kung Pao and decided to give Chen's a try. They did not disappoint. The Chicken Kung Pao was delicious! Since it was our first time, we got a variety of things to try besides the Chicken Kung Pao - Peking Raviolis (fried), Pork Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef, and General Tso's Chicken. No complaints whatsoever. The food was all cooked to order, fresh, tasty, and huge portions. Our family all had leftovers to take home for a second meal. Our waitress who'd been with Chen's for 15 years was terrific. She made great suggestions and the service was quick and friendly. Sorry I can't remember her name, but she is the one who explained that each meal is cooked to order, not simply warmed up from a large batch, so next time if there is anything special we want (no vegetables, extra sauce, light on the hot spices, etc.) all we have to do is ask. To me that is awesome to know since I'm picky about which vegetables I like and while I like a little heat (spice), I don't like it so hot & spicy that I can't enjoy it. For those looking for information about noise and ambiance - we sat in the dining room (not the bar area) since our teen daughter was with us. It was a Tuesday night so it was pretty quiet which I appreciate these days. From what I could see from where we sat in the dining room, it's a bit worn and dated, but clean. Fine for family dining, casual dress, etc. The restaurant followed all social distancing and cleanliness guidelines and I felt very comfortable eating in the restaurant. Given all of that, I will definitely be going back to Chen's to try out more of our favorite dishes to see how they stand up... Thank you Chen's for a great dining experience. Sorry, no pictures!

I've ordered a few times, I am satisfied with their food, and they have become my normal go-to place for Chinese food. Their fried rice is solid AF; not too much oil, good balance of add-ins. The appetizers are also solid, nothing to write home about, but completely serviceable for the price/portion. The "classic" meals (e.g., Chicken and Broccoli, General Gau's, etc.) are also all good. If you like curries, the Singapore Chow Mai Fun is a must! Overall, while not the best Chinese I've EVER had, it's still pretty darn good.

The portions were generous, the flavors were balanced, and the kitchen clearly took pride in what left the pass. Whether it was a quick takeout order after a long day or a casual dinner, you knew exactly what you were getting: fresh ingredients, consistent preparation, and food that felt worth your money. Unfortunately, that version of Lucky Panda feels like a distant memory. Over time, the quality has declined to a point that's difficult to overlook. Dishes that were once vibrant and well-seasoned now arrive bland, overly greasy, or inconsistent in texture. Fried items taste as though the oil hasn't been refreshed often enough. Sauces that were once rich and balanced now feel watered down or overly sweet. Even the staples -- the dishes that should never falter -- no longer reflect the care they once did. Prices have climbed, yet the quality hasn't followed. When higher costs are paired with declining standards, it sends a message -- and not a good one. It no longer feels like a business invested in serving the community; it feels like one cutting corners while charging more. Derry deserves establishments that take pride in what they serve and value the loyalty of their customers. At this point, Lucky Panda has lost that sense of pride and reliability. It's off my list -- and unless meaningful improvements are made, it may be off many others' as well.

Main parking lot is shared but we parked on the side of the building at their additional lot. Place is lively with people enjoying their food and chatting. We love their sushi and sashimi combo for two so we went back for more. We started with both miso soup and salad included. That was followed by a dragon figure with our meal. Look at the size of the sashimi pieces. It is always fresh and delicious fish. And of course we will he back!

The table itself was reasonably clean, but the rest of the place was a mess. The men's room was filthy. Service was friendly and relatively prompt. Portion sizes for the lunch specials weren't bad, but less than years past. Food quality was also much lower this time around. Rice was dry, hardly any meat in the entrees. On the bright side the chicken teriyaki was actually pretty good. But they made my entree so spicy I couldn't even eat it really, this after me asking for it to be mild due to a medical condition. Also, it seems like a whole new staff in there, so not sure if there has been another change of owners since we last went. Either way, this place is now on my "do not go" list. Seems like it's more a place for bar flies to hang out than a restaurant now. Which is fine for some, but not a place I want to spend my money at. Kind of sad really, cause it used to be good. As another reviewer pointed out, if the place is that much of a mess, makes you wonder what is going on in the kitchen.
