We entered with high expectations. My wife had the General Tso's chicken and I had the sushi special. We also ordered egg rolls that we never got. The chicken and the side of fried rice were tasteless. The sushi was tiny and dry. The wonton soup had three wontons but had no flavor. The miso soup was the highlight of my meal. Very nice! Quite a few authentic Chinese dishes along with traditional American-Chinese hybrids. The atmosphere is fine. Booths and a bit of decor. Lovey enjoyed her mu shu pork a lot, the hot and sour soup not so much. I think a hit of vinegar would have fixed it up. I met a former colleague here for lunch at his suggestion. It's a solid middle-of-the-road Asian place. The lunch specials are well priced and a reasonable portion. The decor is exactly what you expect from most Asian restaurants and includes what looked to be a well-stocked bar. It looks like they could use some additional storage space since there are a number of boxes set in different places near the bathrooms. But the staff is friendly and.our food came out quickly. Me and my family love this place. We came in for dinner time around 6.30pm, and it was packed! The service was a little bit slow, but understandable because they are under staffs that day. In return, the staffs are super friendly and quick, which helps the dinning experience go smoothly. The restaurant is very well decorated , and have a nice ambiance to it. They do have multiple tvs on the bar section. So you can either sit at the bar to watch some games while eating, or at the booth, and regular table. We ordered the dishes as family style, which mean shareable portion dishes and rice on the side. This is what we order: Dan Dan noodle Green bean with roasted tofu (semi spicy) Soup dumpling Hot pot (semi spicy) Stir fry pork ( side note: we have good spice tolerant ) The food's flavor is just chef kiss! I think this is the best place around New Hampshire area, that you can get the best/closet flavor of soup dumplings without having to drive to China Town in Boston. My friend order a Chinese vinegar instead of soy sauce for dipping, and it paired so well with Dan Dan noodle. We order hot tea instead of drinking, but considering that they have a very nice bar selection. I think we will try the drink menu next time. read more

Authentic Chinese restaurants in New Hampshire are rare...I was super delighted to find Sun Shui tucked away in Bedford. I love Szechuan/Sichuan cuisine and was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant up here that offers Chongqing chicken AKA "Crispy Chicken in Spicy Chili Sauce". While Sun Shui offers your typical Americanized Chinese food, they have a section in their menu with authentic offerings. Their Crispy Chicken in Spicy Chili Sauce is delicious! Super tasty fried pieces of chunky bite-sized pieces of chicken with chili peppers and peanuts. The Crispy Spicy Fish Fillets were also delicious - it's pretty much the same batter and flavors as the Crispy Chicken. Their Mapo Tofu (soft tofu and ground pork in a spicy sauce) is not too bad, it's not the best version I've had but I would order it again. Sun Shui puts peas and carrots in their rendition so I would order it without. The Szechuan Spicy Fish Fillet was on par with the ones you would find in Boston's Chinatown. Plus the portion size is HUGE. I had leftovers for days. The ratio of fish to cabbage is very reasonable. Sun Shui is great for your Szechuan cravings and I highly recommend them because not only is their food delicious, their portion sizes are ridiculous. read more

I will start by saying their food used to be great, services used to be excellent but that is all gone. Last night was the last for me as I ordered A pu pu platter for 3 and fried rice, came up to just over 55.00. Picked it up on way home from work as I work in Bedford and live in Manchester, when I got home I realized that they only gave me a platter for two but even then skimped out on that. There was one egg roll, two spring rolls, two teriyaki beef's, 4 chicken wing halves, 8 chicken fingers small handful of boneless pork and 6 crab rangoons. This was less then a pu pu for two. Very dry, overcooked, the beef was so tough that couldn't be eaten, two pieces of the fingers were half raw and we had asked for extra fingers for all three pu pu instead of fried shrimp but didn't get that and didn't get the shrimp either, the egg roll was very hard, rice has barely if any pork in it and was cold. The Rangoons were soggy and gross. That's it for us, and I know that's it for a bunch of people I know that went there prior to this. Took twenty minutes to get my food that was already waiting for me when I got there but the place was over crowded with bar patrons who were obnoxious and falling all over the place to say the least. Just out right disgusting visit. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. read more

I decided to try this place and see if it was good. I ordered a pork bibimbap and Dan Dan noodles to go. This had the be the worst bibimbap on the history of bibimbap, I guess it's my fault for ordering a Korean dish at a Chinese restaurant but well. My dish was bland, pork was not tender, no flavor at all. I used all the Gochujang sauce to give it a kick but nahh. I tried the Dan Dan noodles back home and they were salty but this was better than the bibimbap. We went here off the suggestion on of some friends. We got the hot chicken wings which were well flavored. They were spiced with dried red peppers. The loe mien with shrimp was really delicious, tasted fresh, light, and had great flavor. I got the Szechuan crispy fried fish that was also well seasoned and really delicious. My only thing is that I wanted more heat. I didn't get the numbing sensation I am used to. But this place works if you don't want that. And the food and service will be great. My wife and i have gone a few times and love the Chinese part of the menu. Service is always great and food very good and authentic. My wife is from Wuxi China and says Laura's chef cooks very good. This is about the best compliment my wife gives, as all the other Asian restaurants she claims sell scam food, LOL. In other words she isn't into the Americanized versions of Chinese food. At most Asian restaurants my wife is quite picky but here she tries everything on the Chinese part of the menu and wants to bring friends to experience it. We lean toward Sichuan flavors, garlic, chili's and ginger and so far have not been disappointed . Portions are always good, service has always been spot on. If anything the place is kind of noisy.
