The knowledge the employees have and willingness to teach and invite newcomers into the TCG community is top notch. I hear it every time I'm looking for a magic card to buy online. However because of the friendly inviting nature of Central Coast Collectibles I am more inclined to go to my local card shop and support and interact with a business owner actively involved in the community. Pricing and trade value is great and easy as enjoyable interactions make it even better than just a monetary value. The fact they have two locations one in Lompoc and one in Santa Maria improves quality, selection, stock, and convenience. As mentioned the owner Tyler is seen and available in both locations and available to his employees to answer questions either on phone or person. I highly recommend Central Coast Collectibles for anyone who is in the TCG community or anyone looking to start collecting and playing any variety of card games or Warhammer table top.

I had some magic the gathering cards cards I wanted to sell and my usual go to shop put a pretty high minimum price they were willing to trade or buy at. I gave This shop a call to ask about their policy. I spoke with one of the owners about what I had and asked their policy on buying cards. Also in my opinion they have the best policy for cash purchases of all the card shops. ( To save time make sure you have an idea of the price on your cards on TCGplayer market) The co-owner I spoke with was very helpful and pleasant on the phone and told me to come on into the shop and we can work out a deal. I got to the shop with my cards and unfortunately it turns out the two owners had just gotten back from a trade show in Anehiem over the weekend so had quite a few customers looking to do trades ahead of me. They deal in sports and TCG(magic,pokemon, lorcana,etc...)cards. The guy I spoke with I can't remember his name...I remember it starts with an L I'm thinking Leroy greeted me right away and apologized that there were two people ahead of me. It gave me a chance to browse the shop. It was nice and organized. Clean with a decent stock and plenty of tables for customers to use for trades or to play. While I waited the conversation was pleasant and I received quite a few food recommendations I haven't tried out yet so that will be in another review. It was taking awhile and the other owner Chris stepped on even though he doesn't typically deal in magic. We worked together and came up with the prices of the card and the deal we were working. This was a very nice interaction. I wasn't questioned on every price I pulled up online and never felt like the business suspected me of trying to rip them off and I never felt like they were trying to rip me off(which I have gotten that impression in some other shops). Chris completed the deal even though it was out of his normal wheelhouse we had a solid handshake and they have just made a repeat customer out of me. I highly recommend doing business with these two partners. Top notch guys and business.

Have frequented a handful of times and always find what I am looking for and more. Their inventory keeps you on your toes as you are bound to always find something that may catch your eye. They host a variety of events throughout the week that seem to be beginners friendly which I myself am and look forward to attending when in the area next. Great shop and great staff as well. Friendly and overall a great environment. Everything is reasonably priced as well and they always give a good deal!

Most of them are incorrectly stored with absolutely no sleeves and with atrocious warps and scratches. Though, they do have old shellac records, which I thought was pretty neat! Also, the videogames are behind the counter for some reason? Can't really see or pick any out. In terms of pricing, the items seem pretty fairly priced, no complaints there. The service is great, the guy at the counter seemed genuinely enthusiastic and happy to help.

Decent children and YA sections. The books are in such excellent shape you'd be forgiven if you thought they weren't used. I saw so many great, used books in the classic literature section I wanted, but I currently have way too many books I need to read and so little time, I didn't purchase any during this visit. But I am definitely coming back in the future to stock up on good reads! The kitties that roam the bookstore are also so freaking adorable. There are three: and orange tabby, a fluffy calico-looking kitty, and a grey and white kitty. The grey and white one greeted us instantly when we walked in, and s/he definitely made us feel welcome and at home. The other kitties were so adorable and friendly too! They weren't as affectionate as the grey and white one, but they let us pet them and looked so content in the bookstore.
