Had a fantastic experience dining at Lemmo's thanks to the manager, Vinny. My wife Amy and I had heard great things about this restaurant and wanted to try it. Vinny set up a table outside for us to accommodate our two dogs. Our groomer Barks and Bubbles is just around the corner. The veggie pizza with cauliflower crust was delicious. So last night we wanted to try out Lemmo's for the first time. The website and many places if you search to verify business hours. In this case on a Wednesday they were suppose to be open until 9:00pm We were on our way there 8:25pm and I called to ensure they would still serving food. What appears to be a teenager answers and says "we decided to close early" No explanation. So the business model to turn away business? Our first experience with this restaurant is our last. We turned around and went to Toppers Pizza place in TO they gladly welcomed our patronage. Best restaurants stay open to the hours posted and do not turn away business, even if you come in a few minutes before close or in our case 30 minutes. This is a sign perhaps that the same attitude with the food quality and service. I wonder if the owner is aware they close early? I've seen this with places to busy cleaning and doing side work to serve customers Nothing like a meal with the smell of cleaning products overwhelming the air. I can only guess as they lost our business before we ever had a chance to try it out, and never will. read more

Our team stopped by after a game at the Iceoplex. Know what pairs well with a win? Phenomenal pizza. :D Crunchy airy crust brushed with garlic butter, loads of fresh toppings and savory meats...it's so good. I was pleasantly surprised how crunchy the crust was & no soggy spots! The fried green beans and fries are nicely fried and come plenty to share. I didn't try the wings but they looked meaty and delicious. Highly recommend this for your pizza fix if you're nearby! We just moved to Moorpark from Camarillo and began our search for a good pizza place. While Pizzaman Dans and Jax were good contenders, Lemmo's won our taste buds. I am a boring pizza eater so I usually just order a plain cheese pizza. The regular crust was tasty and the sauce and cheese were perfect. We will definitely be returning. A side note; the gentleman taking orders was helping a nice customer and his small children. He reached into his tip jar and gave the little girls money to play the arcade games. Honestly we are so lucky to live next door to Lemmo's Pizzeria. They are the real deal and such a neighborhood gem! We've had the meatball sandwich, and the hot/cold Italian sandwiches. All three are huge portions served with crinkle cut fries. They are generous with the meat and they are enough for two to share. Now the pizza...well we've probably had every kind of specialty pizza they have. They are that good so it really just depends what you're in the mood for. We spent the afternoon northwest of our normal stoping grounds to enjoy the Moorpark Symphony Orchestra presentation at the park -- were we promised lots of food trucks and there were none. [queue up disaster music for hangry kids] Thanks to the friendly and helpful team at Lemmo's we had a lovely meal delivered to us -- piping hot and as scheduled -- in the park. We had traditional crusted cheese and pepperoni which was solid and a thin crusted veggie with all sorts of pickled goodness. The most important aspect of this story is our kids ate a big meal when they were hungry and we got a few minutes of peace as the sun set behind the local musicians. I needed to speak to someone who knew the area, understood the timing constraints we were working with and deliver on time. And the folks at Lemmo's came through in a pinch. read more

Delicious pasta, chicken strips, fries, and absolutely perfect Caesar salad. My son got a cookie with ice cream and it came hot from the oven. OMG. Simple comfort food, all cooked perfectly. We were looking for a meatless pizza non veggie to go, so we ordered the shrimp and pesto large called the Donnie Brasco. We asked for original crust with added garlic topping. It looked so good when I looked at it before leaving. We were so excited to try a new place we hadnt been to before and it looked so appetizing. Way too expensive for awful pizza. Ordered a sausage and olive pizza. But got just sausage. Toppings didn't seem cooked enough. Thick layer of cold cheese literally looks like icing on top. Let me preface this I waited a month to post this review. Unfortunately after much consideration I can sadly say this was the worst pizza I've ever had and was on par with "getting a slice of pizza at a convenience store." Considering my normal pizza place was getting remodeled and all of the wonderful reviews I saw, the family decided to check out Lemmo's Pizzeria. Not knowing what to expect we ordered a Medium Godfather and the musketeer sticks over the phone. When I arrived there was a couple, bored out of their minds playing on their cellphones with a pitcher of beer, at one of the outside tables. Needless to say it was a very unwelcoming scene to walk by them into the restaurant. Upon entering I received a less than enthusiastic greeting and got a, "Hold On a Minute" as the gentleman was taking down a phone order. After finishing up, the employee had a horrible attitude talking in an almost exhausted/ scoffing voice when I politely stated I placed a phone order. The way he was carrying on, you thought it was an inconvenience I actually ordered something, nonetheless I shrugged it off thinking he was having a bad day. Upon arriving home, the pizza was barely warm despite picking up the pizza on time. However, The Godfather was more bread than toppings with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, ham etc. Considering this was the "signature pizza" it was barely passable as pizza and more or less a glorified cheese stick with toppings. Sadly the musketeer sticks were no better. Honestly it was like the pizza you get in middle school with toppings freshly placed on from the deli section in the grocery store. The toppings did not taste cooked and seemed like the bare minimum of effort was put in to making. The way it tasted was not made with love or care. It was ALL DOUGH and cheese with toppings barely placed on it. I'm also certain the toppings were an afterthought with EVERY bite being 90% bread. Unless you need to soak up beer or alcohol I would strongly suggest avoiding altogether. I really want to support local businesses but when your pizza is worse quality than Little Cesars/Dominoes/Pizza Hut and cost 2-3x the price...definitely not worth it. If the customer service was even remotely adequate I might have reconsidered, but the pizza was so bland and too doughy I cannot even fathom visiting here ever again. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I called Lemmo's the day before my kid's bday at Underwood Family farms, and they were able to accommodate my request for a catering menu/delivery. Interaction was smooth, easy, and pleasant. We got the delivery on time the next day. The food, including pizza, alfredo pasta, spaghetti, chicken tenders, and musketeer stix were all a hit! We lucked out on this last minute find. The pizza was good but they tend to skimp, making a large pizza with two inches of crust . In essence 10" pizza on a 12" pie, as an example. My solution is to just remind them when I order to put sauce and cheese etc. all the way to the edge. read more
