We've been using the back room here for board meetings for nearly a decade. After all that loyalty, tonight was the night it all fell apart. For the first time ever, we were told we needed 25 people minimum for the back room. We had 20. On a Tuesday night. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet instead of honoring our reservation, they tried to stick us at a long table in the middle of the dining room. Then came the music. We asked FOUR separate times for it to be turned down in the back room. It was blasting so loud we could barely carry on a conversation. The excuse was that "it's connected to the mic." That might make sense on a Saturday afternoon when the place is packed with little league teams, but not when there were only a handful of tables in the entire restaurant. An employee could have easily delivered the food without using the microphone at all. Normally, the front staff are kind and personable. Not tonight. Instead, we dealt with two women who seemed more interested in a power trip than in providing customer service. If our group hadn't shown up, they would have lost a significant portion of the evening's business, yet they treated us like an inconvenience. To top it off, in the middle of our meeting a worker insisted on going out the back door, forcing several people to move chairs, gifts, and belongings just to make room. The front door was just steps away -- it made no sense. And the bathroom? It smelled like a sewer. After nearly ten years of giving this place our business, tonight was deeply disappointing. Love this spot. Come here once in a while with the wife and kids and haven't had a single bad experience. Staff is always friendly, place is always clean, food is always delicious, hot & fresh. The one complaint I have, is the little "arcade" area is sort of a joke. Especially since you have to pay for a gaming card for like 4 machines. Would be nice to just toss cash into the machines like the good old days so my kids can have fun. Other than that, this is our go to! read more

Completely adequate pizza for a Friday night. Other places In the area were not delivering so we settled with Pizza Man Dan's. Ordered a cheese pizza with code 999 for a $9.99 pizza added pepperoni, plus an order of mozzarella sticks for delivery. The total came to $28 ($5 delivery fee) and we tipped 15%. The pizza was delivered hot and was pretty good but the mozz sticks tasted as movie theater quality. They came with one container of cold marinara for dipping. I really want this pizza place to be better overall. I have lived in the area for years and from time to time I give this place a shot but just disappointed every time. Pizza is a 3/10 just no flavor and dough is just bland. The wings are 3/10 with little sauce and not crispy at all. The salad bar is probably the best part but still 4/10 with big signs warning you not to get ranch for your pizza here. The service here is fine just not super welcoming and friendly. When you walk in the front door the restaurant feels tired, dated and cheap. I also feel like they nickel and dime you for everything like a side of ranch is $0.85 cents that might make the pizza better tasting. Over the years I have taken the extra time to head to Toppers Pizza 20 more minutes out of the way! That is how much this place needs to improve. read more

Family and I went to have dinner this last Friday 3/28/25 and there was no booths available. Not because they were all being used, but because all of them hadn't been cleared and were a mess. There was only 2 other customers in the whole restaurant and it was only 6pm Staff was friendly. Food came quickly but was good. There was some teenagers just like hanging out. Not really eating or anything just goofing around. Sort of made me uncomfortable for my toddler to play the games. Bathroom was messy and smelled terrible. After a long day at work and school. I brought my kids in here to get a good dinner. They got a six slice pizza. I got a all you can eat salad bar three drinks and a pizza to go. After sitting down and eating my son wanted ranch for his pizza. He has nine years old. He walked up to the cashier and asked if he could have his little cup so he could put ranch in there. The cashier then proceeded to tell him no that he would have to pay eight cents a cup for ranch! This is ridiculous you're going to tell a nine-year-old boy no he cannot have ranch and wanted to charge him after I paid over $50 for two pizzas and all you can eat salad bar. Pizza Man Dan's hit the spot! My friend ordered a couple pizzas from this place on Friday night and I thought it was pretty good. Not my favorite, but definitely satisfying. I can't speak to the price, but I would likely consider ordering delivery from Pizza Man Dan's again sometime in the future. That said, it's not super often that I make it out to Moorpark. This is only regarding pick up. They only have 1 cashier, so even though you call and order ahead you have to wait in a huge line just to pay and get your pizza. When you are trying to order ahead and get home with a toddler (or even just hungry) it's not worth it. Toppers has an order line and a pick up line...how it should be. Solid pizza place, but there's nothing super special about it. If you want a small pizza, sub or salad this place is good for a quick bite at lunch. They regularly have coupons for their food and currently have a $10 carry out special with a LRG Ultimate 4 Cheese Pizzas. I personally recommend the Pizza Man Dan Special (Everything pizza) as my favorite. The Meatsa (Meat special) is my 2nd favorite, but the other pizzas aren't anything special. Just good decent options for pizza and a great place to do a family pizza meal. There is plenty of parking and it's best to order ahead if you're not eating there. The only thing is don't order the sampler appetizer. My family has tried this 3 different times over the past two years and it's always been underwhelming each time. You get 2 mozzarella sticks, 2 jalapeño poppers, 2 wings and 2 Mac n cheese bites, but it's on par with just making it at home yourself. Our family has been going to and enjoying Pizza Man Dan's since my son was in grade school. It was a place where I could join my mommy friends for a nice salad from their salad bar and our kiddos could play games and enjoy great pizza. Flash forward to now, my son is a Senior in high school and Pizza Man Dan's pizza is still our family favorite here in Moorpark. My son's standard order is a large pepperoni & sausage, cooked well done and double cut. It always delivered HOT and toppings are generous. My husband likes the MEATSA calzone. It lives up to it's name - well cooked but still fluffy inside and LOTS of meat & sauce. I like the veggie deluxe pizza! It's got a huge variety of vegetables that come standard and with their pull down menu, you can add more or less, you literally get to build your pizza unique every time. We've tried the appetizer sampler and as a result often add an order of mozzarella sticks to our order - they have a great satisfying cheese pull :-) Delivery is always prompt and the drivers have always been polite and ask if we need plates and napkins. The drivers also close the small gate that is at the edge of our front yard, it's a small gesture, but it is appreciated (We like to keep it closed so our doggo can go out and take his break and make sure he doesn't wander off). All in all, if you need a place to go and enjoy pizza, some video games and watch sports - the brick and mortar place is recommended. If you don't feel like cooking or your hungry teenager needs food STAT, then hop on their website and you'll have hot good food at your door in no time. read more

I'm a new resident to Moopark and Dans pizza has always been my go to. I've been here about a dozen times and always had good pizza. This recent time I visited I was trying to sub out a food allergy ingredient and the "supervisor Robert" kept rudely repeating "no no we don't sub no I've been her for 4 years we have never subbed out an ingredient" All the other times it was never an issue?? Maybe he wasn't trying to help because they were closing in an hour but A SIMPLE INGREDIENT COULD NOT BE SUBBED BECAUSE OF A FOOD ALLERGY? Really? This is ridiculous. And Instead of giving me a nice explanation or kind suggestion he just say "nope sorry we don't do that". He also said they don't serve beer an hour before closing? What kind of supervisor are you?
