We got the Superstition Detroit Style Pizza to go and the entire way home I was drooling with just the smell alone! Great crust (crispy & cheesy), the toppings were top quality and a full size pizza was more than enough for a family of 3. Next time we'll eat in because the ambience is awesome & "rock and roll" inspired. The staff looked to be all high school/college kids but they're were awesome and super accommodating! I ordered over the phone, and you could tell the employee was new. He was nice and polite, but he clearly didn't know the menu. After I made my order, he called me back 2 mins later to confirm my order. When I got there, they had gotten the order wrong. They were apologetic and said they would recook my order, but I didn't have the time to come back or wait. I just took the wrong order, but they graciously comp'd it. These pizzas were a standout to me -as I end up eating a lot of piazza because of the kids. The quality of the crusts was amazing and the flavorful marinara made it a real pleasure. Enjoyed the garlic bread. Interested in trying the salads and meatballs too for next time. They also had a few different varieties of beers on tap. It was a nice place, locally owned. Soggy pizzas, long wait, and expensive! I recently ordered online from Parma, and I was disappointed by their pizzas. I made an online order for two pizzas on a Friday evening. The estimated wait time was 60-65 minutes when I placed the order, but I decided to wait due to my previous good experience at the restaurant. When I went to pick up my order at the ETA, my pizzas were not ready, and I was told to wait another 10 minutes. When I finally got my pizzas and checked before I left, one pizza was from a wrong order. I notified the manager, and I was told to wait for another 3 minutes. When all my orders eventually arrived, the second pizza (corrected one) was missing one of the additional toppings I paid for. When I went home to have the pizzas, both of them were soggy. The second one that they made in a hurry was so soggy that the pizza fell apart in pieces when I tried to tear out a slice. It was evident that the employees made the pizza in a hurry after the prior mistake of giving me the wrong order. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience waiting almost 90 minutes and paying over $60 for two soggy pizzas. Will most likely not return! read more

We have been coming here since its opening and always had delish pizza and excellent service. During Covid this was our only go to restaurant (support local business) . We arrived for our son's 23rd birthday - Friendly staff (except one employee was walking around drinking Starbucks). Unfortunately this visit was horrible. We were served room temp beer with a cold glass . I mentioned it was room temp and employee offered to put back in fridge to cool down. I decided to go back to counter to choose a different brand if it was cold - employee stated they had just opened up 15 mins ago? But they had a cold Peroni - so I accepted. Once pizza arrived my son mentioned it tasted off , the Detroiter was burned , NY Style was a bit better, but more well done than usual. No, we didn't bother going back to the counter - we didn't want to wait for new one or deal with the conversation- that's on me. Usually all pizza is gone by the next morning - sadly this time it went in the trash Maybe the restaurant was understaffed for the amount of orders coming, or new employee?Should we drive to the newer location instead? I was so excited to visit Parma Pizzeria Napoletano. My friend and I picked up a large meat pizza. Before leaving we took a few pics at the Restaurant to post on YELP about how delighted we were with our pizza. We were very optimistic when our pizza was given to us in five minutes. "Fastest service ever", we said and giggled. Instead when we got home the sauce was mediocre like it came right out of a can and was greedily swept over the crust. The meat on the pizza was nothing special. Of the five family members none of us wanted to finish eating our slice of pizza. Since I'm the one that paid the $40+tip pizza I felt betrayed. When I read the reviews , loved the pizzerias ambiance I was 100 percent assured that I would have the same experience as the previous YELP reviewers did. I've only had the thin crust ny style so my experience is limited but this is the way pizza should be which means not seeing dripping oil, not having the cheese slip off like one leave mass, and being able to file it in one hand without the tip dropping. This is an updated review to my last one. I learned that some pizza is best consumed hot out of the oven and not taken home. This review is for the Detroit Style gluten free and regular crust pizza. If you're gluten free, this is one of THE BEST pizzas out there. We have had it with almost every topping. We usually do the Tuesday special (buy 1 Detroit get 1 half off) Every combo we have had so far is delicious. The Bissonette is my favorite but do yourself a favor, eat it there. The toppings are so ample that it ends of making the crust soggy if you take too long get it home. Sit in your car and eat at least ONE slice fresh out of the oven. Still love Parma. Decent attempt at a Detroit style pizza but just fell short. After the meal I said, "that wasn't too bad", but it was certainly not memorable. The crust was OK and they got a bit of caramelization of the cheese around the edge but not a great deal. The sauce was watery and a little bland. The cheese was OK but the pepperoni was a bit sparse and wafer thin. Microplane wafer thin, so didn't add much flavor. When my wife came back and told me how much the bill was I was convinced we ordered the wrong size. Then I saw the 16 oz bottles of Dasani were $3 each. A tad high for my blood. Anyway, came away having enjoyed the overall pizza, it's just that pretty much every component fell short of expectations a bit. read more

The service is quick, and the extensive menu is sure to please everyone, from meat lovers to vegetarians to gluten-free individuals. DETROIT STYLE PIZZA?!?! A MUST TRY HERE! I DIG a good slice of pizza on the daily, having spent a few years roaming NYC during my "formative" years. My hometown of Oxnard even has some solid pizza options too! Been to Italy, been to Chicago, been to New England States... so yeah, our Fams has a good idea what a yummy pizza pie tastes like. BUT I wasn't ready for the deliciousness served up in this pizzeria! WAS NOT!!! Found it searching on yelp (it's just cool what yumminess pops up on Yelp searches!), looking for pizza options in Thousand Oaks. Thought we were going to test out their NYC style pizza, but when we arrived & looked at menu, WHAT in the world is DETROIT style pizza??? I pulled a Curious George & had to find out what that was all about! I'm not running a keto diet soo... let's DO THIS! THE FOUR TOPS (DETROIT STYLE): So what makes a pie Detroit style??? Apparently it's not just the rectangular shape of the pan it's cooked in. It's also a lighter density type of crust that makes it have a crisp texture yet thicker than the typical California pizza. There's a very generous amount of cheese, and also the placement of the pizza sauce ON TOP of the pizza above everything, rather than on the bottom, only on top of the crust. For this specific pie, they use FOUR Types of cheese... Cheddar, Mozzarella, Fontina, and Provolone. Delicious! I love how you can taste the flavor of the pizza sauce immediately! All the cheese under the sauce makes it REALLY ooey gooey when eaten fresh! And that crust?!? Tasty!! Not thick like a Chicago Style pizza, and not soggy like Neapolitan pizzas can be, it's a crispy bottom and light breading the rest of the way. Wow! Munchkin & I loved it! THE DETROITER (DETROIT STYLE, obviously lol): Another Version of Detroit Style, but now with a pepperoni layer in the middle under the cheese, AND topped with old world pepperoni as well. I also added spicy sausage for more pizzazz, hoping for a lil kick on my pie, Bruce Lee style! HIYA! Man oh man, THIS WAS BOMBTASTIC!! I savored EVERY DELICIOUS BITE! Mmmm!!! You know it's good when you don't want to share with anybody! Nyahh! ;P CINNAMON STICKS: For the sweet tooths in my family, this was a BIG HIT! That "Detroit Dough" changes the game, so not your "typical" stick. I don't know how they could still chow down after taking in a Detroit Pie, but apparently there's a separate compartment for dessert in their tummies lol VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! I AM SOLD on that Detroit style! I think that it's become one of my favorite style of all the pizza pies I've ever tried. Just wow! You know when you have that craving for certain food and you have to search your want to try list. Today I had that craving for a really good pizza which isn't easy to find in my local area. Don't give me wrong there's a couple of really good pizza Makers in town. Just that nobody specializes in great New York, Chicago and Detroit pizzas. So I jumped the truck and made the drive down to Thousand Oaks. I think I saw Parma Pizza on IG or maybe it was a magazine ad, not sure. Wasn't really sure what to expect, but looked at the reviews on both Yelp and Google, and it looks stellar. When I arrived, I was greeted by a cool cat named Micah. Now mind you this isn't your regular pizza parlor. This is a place you'd see in Chelsea New York or North Beach in San Francisco. The legit, pizza, oven and all. Before I drove down, I thought I knew what I wanted And had my mind made up. But, they have this really cool menu board above the counter where you order. Very descriptive. So I'm talking to Micah and asked him a couple of questions about the different pizzas and I settled on the Detroiter. Funny thing, I never show up anywhere to take it advantage of happy hour, but, today was my happy hour special day. So I complemented my pizza with an amazing Pinot Noir wine. Normally I would go with the Peroni beer but just felt like a wine with pizza Day. I ordered a mixed green side salad with a balsamic dressing and it was so fresh and tasteful. My pizza showed up and it was over the top. Epic. Their sauce and their pepperoni is so flavorful and the caramelized edges of the pizza were perfect. Since it was late afternoon on a Monday, they were just a couple of other diners in the restaurant. They've got a really comfortable casual setting with a good Soundsystem and a big screen TV for sports. I chatted with Micah for a minute and he gave me the 411on the musical instruments and memorabilia hanging in the restaurant. Pretty cool story. If you're a lover of quality pizza, they have an amazing selection of pizzas and styles. Great vibe, atmosphere and quality for value. Ate here a few times. Pizza is pretty good. No complaints there. However, the staff and the children running the store are awful at best. We came in with my family recently and we were 1 of 2 people in the restaurant. We ordered food and a couple of additional patrons came in shortly after. While the 2 groups ordered about 10 minutes after us, they received their food within about 20 mins or so. Noticing this, I made mention to the manager and staff and they said they were just really busy, ignoring the fact that we were there first and had not received anything but drinks, which I had to remind them of.... 40 Minutes go by and we still have NOT received our food. Clearly upset, I went to staff and asked where our food was. I was met with smirks and the staff basically laughing at my upset while my 4 children (2 of which are under 3, were crying) . AT NO TIME, did anyone offer anything while we were waiting to hold us over. This place is a joke. read more

They also have great Neapolitan & NY style too. All pizzas are great whether you get traditional or their specialty pizzas. It's a smaller place, but the staff are great. Walk up ordering, small seating area with some badass signed guitars & musical instruments. Also, if you order over the phone or online for pick up, more than likely your food will be ready before the time given... at least that's what has happened to me majority of the time. read more
