Came by to get a pie for thanksgiving and grabbed a cinnamon roll too because they looked so delish when I waked in. Let me tell you it actually might have been the best cinnamon roll I ever ate. It wasn't too sweet, but sweet enough which is hard to pull off I would say for a cinnamon roll. The bottom almost caramelized from cooking and has this chewy texture and the bread part was so fluffy and not hard at all. This bakery is hitting me in all the feels, the exterior is clean and modern, the inside matches but with a dash of vintage kitchen whimsy. But none of that matters if the goods are no good, ya know? I am happy to report that THIS is THE SPOT to grab all the baked goods your heart desires! I started my box bundle with their soon to be famous cinnamon roll, fluffy spiced perfection lathered with gobs of deliciously sweet icing. A must have! I added the Cardamom brioche, which barely made it home- deliciously lightly sweet airy bread with fine layers of delicate cardamom and citrus- & a light icing on top....I'm still drooling. The next treat was a passion fruit pavlova, flaky and crisp pavlova complimented the tart fruit in a beautiful marriage! I layered my treats with a seasonal special of a giant slice of gingerbread loaf- it was moist and dense with a dollop of cream cheese frosting and what seemed to be a crispy center of candied ginger! I grabbed an iced oatmilk latte which was a classic compliment to the sweets. The service was impressive, everyone smiling and gracious, they moved fast and aimed to please. Issac was so kind and welcoming as well. I got all the way to the car, put my treats I side and headed back inside to grab a few more! I couldn't pass us the beautiful muffins and the coffee cake! Well ..we finally had our curiosity satisfied after three attempts to try their perpetually sold out lemon bars. We paid about $30 for a cinnamon roll, one hot chocolate, and two lemon bars. The bars are cut into 3 small pieces (maybe 2 bites each) and are VERY thin. I envisioned a thick, decadent lemon bar for what amounts to about a dollar a bite, haha.. but felt baffled by the hoopla over .. this?! It reminded me of the treats I made in the Easy Bake Oven I had as a child..although these did have a nice lemony flavor. The saving grace was the cinnamon roll. It was expensive too .. but at least it was normal sized and quite delicious! read more
