Busy cafe but we're able to be seated right away. Food was very good! And the iced tiramisu was delicious! Food came quickly after being seated, however, it does take a minute for them to come to the table but that's something I've noticed in most restaurants in Europe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
This is a cute but busy little cafe, though they manage the crowds exceptionally well. I order an apple juice that was fresh juice and ended up making me sick (that is a me problem not the cafe's) and the 'brekkie' crepe which was as delicious as it was huge. The only negate would be that the server seemed annoyed to be there.
I had my first Full Irish Breakfast here! It was actually so delicious. I don't usually love sausage, and nevertheless all the components were very tasty. My favorite parts were the sausages, bacon, and blood sausage. The tomato and bacon provided good balance of flavor to the plate as a whole. I paired it with a tea.
I just arrived in Dublin for my second visit in the last year. My flight arrives at 5 AM and after dropping my luggage off at my hotel and walking around until 7 AM, I made my way over to this café. I had breakfast twice here last year, but realized that I hadn't left a review. Last year, I had the monkey business crêpe and an avocado toast. I enjoyed both very much. Today, I ordered the nutmeg cappuccino and a ham and cheese croissant. The service here during my three visits has been extremely friendly and welcoming. It is not rushed, and right now I am just sitting in the outdoor area reading my book because it's still pretty early. The indoor is pretty spacious and there are many tables outside. It is located in an alleyway where only pedestrians walk-through; no cars pass. A friend of mine came to Dublin in June and I recommended this café for breakfast. I'll be seeing her soon and I'm looking forward to hearing what she thought of it. The menu is pretty varied and there are many options. The prices are reasonable.
Pleasant staff and good breakfast at Lemon Jelly Cafe. Not so much service after they deliver your food, so don't expect refills or anything else. The ambiance was bustling with a line 10 deep, nice decor and plenty of seating indoors and out. Today we had the sun-dried tomato, mozzarella and pesto omelette which was amazing 5/5 and the Henry crepe with chicken, melted cheddar cheese and baby spinach 4/4. Overall a good quick breakfast. Plenty of other menu options to choose from as well.
We came here for breakfast at 11:30am on a Saturday and waited in about a 10-15 minute line before getting a table. I ordered the mini breakfast, which was really good. Overall, the place is very cute and service was quick and attentive. I would recommend stopping here for a bite to eat in the morning!
lemon jelly is a very popular place it seems, as there was a line out the door in the rain when i went. we were a party of two, and got seated about 5 minutes after we arrived (ahead of other larger parties so keep that in mind). they served complementary water. i ordered the lemon zest crepe and my partner ordered an omelette. the crepe was exactly as expected; light and refreshing with the lemon. the omelette was MASSIVE and served with toast and high quality butter. this place is really busy, so don't expect too much attention or refills after you receive your food. the service was polite and they didn't rush us out.
I got the gluten free strawberry dream crepes. It was good but a little stiff in texture. Service was wonderful and it was great little cafe! I loved them accommodating for gluten free and the precautions they took to accommodate.
Considered on many lists to be the best breakfast in Dublin, I would say that it is pretty dang awesome. Arriving at brunch time on Monday morning in a light drizzle, you can expect to wait. The queue moves, but not quickly. They do not push people to leave here at all. A latte and a flat white for breakfast. They took about 15 minutes to be prepared while I watched the crowds in the rain through the window. The flat white was excellent - perfect cup of coffee. The omelet was very good and the toast was good. You can dawdle but it's not encouraged. And you're definitely not setting up a laptop if there's a queue. Enjoy your breakfast and move on. A common theme for my Dublin adventures: everyone was super friendly, even at Lemon Jelly. We walked in and were seated immediately. Ordered 2 vegetarian breakfasts, a regular coffee and an orange mocha. To be fair, there was a bit of a confusion and I was given a regular mocha but can't complain overall. The Irish Vegetarian was good! Eggs perfectly cooked. Hash brown crisp and salty. The star of the show was the mushrooms though. Obscenely savory, I'm not sure what they did to them but I was addicted. The mocha I ordered was not too sweet with a bitter edge (which I enjoy). It kept me full for hours on end. Well worth the price!
Place sounded appetizing and had decent reviews, so we decided to pop in for a late breakfast. I ordered the Brekke crepe. When I think of a crepe, I think of it as thin and delicate, soft and moist enough to put a fork through. The crepe I had was thick and more like a sandwich wrap. I looked around and saw other crepes that looked exactly the same. Thick and dry. Almost tough. Therefore I would never order a crepe from here again. Apologies for showing a picture of the half eaten thing, but I felt compelled to take the pic for the record. In my pic you only see a crepe because that it, no extra effort at presentation...no garish, not a piece of fruit, nothing but the plate with a thick "crepe" folder in quarters. The inside of the "wrap/crepe" had next to nothing too. Prior to the pic I had already eaten the ONE over easy egg that was inside. I scrapped it out to eat separately, because I wasn't gonna waste calories eating on a tasteless "wrap", with the pathetic "cheese" they squeezed in there. It just wasn't appetizing. I did enjoy the cappuccino. The smoothy I ordered, called the Energy Injection, was supposed to be "banana, strawberry, orange juice and honey, mixed with a low fat frozen yogurt".....It tasted like just all strawberry, didn't taste the banana, honey or OJ. It's great if you're a strawberry super fan, not so great if you are not and were expecting more flavors. We were initially seated right by door. It was a chilly morning. The hostess guy, when he grabbed people from the outside queue to seat people, kept leaving the door wide open. No regard for the wind coming in on inside guest. We did see another hostess talking to people in the queue outside and seating people. She thoughtfully and carefully kept the door slightly closed. Not the dude. Prior to our food coming out - and after a few spots opened up and no one was left in queue, we asked to moved to another table. To their credit they did accommodate our request. Our waiter was nice. He was busy and hardly came by, but when he delivered the food & drinks and when we flagged him down to ask if we could get the check, he was always pleasant.
The place was nice and the workers were friendly. My only complain is the bacon. It tasted like bacon that is dehydrated and put in salads. I would had given them a better review if the bacon was better.
Updated and busy, situated in an area with lots of competition. I enjoyed my full breakfast with the classics: sausage, puddings, bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomato, and egg. My wife had a sweet crepe and felt it was a bit much, but understood it fit what she ordered. Our lattes were too creamy and sweet than we expected. The staff was friendly and responsive. We chose Lemon Jelly because there was a free crepe with Yelp check ins :) Free means quantity over quality. The food was average. After two weeks of eating many Irish Breakfasts, upon review I don't think this was one of the stronger ones we had-it was a very 'polite' breakfast-the portions weren't as big, the plate wasn't that pretty, and some food was lukewarm. But the coffee was delicious! The beans tasted like cold spaghetti-o's; the Lemon and Banana crepe had no lemon-you merely squeeze lemon juice on top (not what the menu made it sound like). I loved my tumeric and coconut coffee though! I'd go again just for a coffee and a good scone. The tables were very close together-and the bathroom was quite gross. They seated (squished) the 5 of us at a middle 4 person table. read more

Perfect cafe for a good breakfast and juice/coffee. Came here on a Thursday morning around 10am and it was pretty full, but got seated at the last table immediately. We all ordered juices and they were all very good, my favorite was the apple with ginger - went great with the meal. My omelet was just ok, it was literally just chopped bell peppers thrown inside a folded egg, & could have used more seasoning. I also had some of the Irish breakfast and it was exactly what you want it to be, salty, filling, savory. Coffee and tea were also good. Definitely recommend coming here for a relaxed atmosphere to eat your breakfast. read more
I loved this place, including everyone in our party. We got a nice table outside to enjoy the fresh, cool Dublin air. It was a little crazy with not really having a single server- someone different would come by or we'd have to flag someone down. They later apologized about that and a tiny bit of wait on the food as they were down a server (totally understood- it didn't ruin our experience). I wanted to try a crepe but totally forgot to order one. I had an iced vanilla latte with an extra shot which was delightful!!! So hard to find iced coffee in Dublin. It was just strong enough. I paired that with the strawberry banana waffles which were the perfect portion and delicious. Others at the table had a smoothie, coffees, the breakfast crepes and the avocado toast. Everyone raves about their food and how fresh and delicious it was, as well as the perfect portions. If we had another chance for breakfast, this would certainly be it. If the service was on top (boo for the person not on their shift) I would've easily given 5 stars. read more

I had so many wonderful breakfasts in Ireland...there there was this place. Very disappointed. Food was expensive and horrible. I had the full Irish; fried eggs were overcooked like rubber, the hashbrown was almost frozen in the middle, mushrooms looked microwaved straight out of a can and the tomato was barely sautéed. My friend had the lemon zest crepe, it was rubbery and barely had any lemon icing. Totally flavorless. Coffee was good. Loud pounding music in the background, not fun for a relaxing breakfast. I'll never be back for this cafeteria food, the tourists can have it. read more

We really loved this place!! The menu was varied, and we enjoyed our savory breakfast items in addition to a lemon/banana crepe. The atmosphere was very quaint and relaxed. The staff were friendly and seemed very happy, with Beyoncé playing over the speakers. Would return!! read more

I think I had the best Americano of my life here. Breakfast was delicious, coffee was excellent, atmosphere was nice, and the service was good. This is a great spot and I hope you enjoy it too! read more

This was my second time here and I had the same as what I had before with the addition of a smoothie drink! Savory Crepe was the italian - great flavour, and for dessert, sweet crepe, chocolate and banana with vanilla ice cream. yum! For the smoothie, I went with rasberry, which was really delicious! - the ingredients - rasberry, strawberry, banana yougurt and orange juice if memory serves me correctly. mmmm! The waiters were very polite, smiley and accomodating. Really cool vibe. This time I sat at the side of the restartaurant where they have 2 long tables against a wall instead of seperate tables. Rainbow flag sticker on the door, so they are gay friendly, noticed a few gay couples in there too, actually in the most recent gcn magazine(which they supply free at the door) it's rated in the top 10 places to eat in Dublin - good to know! The first time I was there I didnt use the toilets but this time I did, and oh, how beautiful they were. PRESTINE! everything was brilliantly white and clean. It's hard enough to find a great resaturant with rest rooms that match up that standard. They had rota outside and looked like they were checked very frequently. I guess they don't only check, they clean and polish til its shimmering, looks that way anyway! :D They have a great selection of teas and other drinks, all at reasonable prices too. Great ambiance to the place. I'll be back again to try more delicious treats from the menu! :) read more
Great crepes - very tasty and filling, perfect for a post-gym lunch. Haven't tried their sweet crepes but the kids at the table beside us certainly enjoyed theirs! Their Suki tea was gorgeous as well, I had the Jasmine Phoenix brew while my mate Brian enjoyed his Rooibos version. The tea is also available to buy in retail packs. It does help a couple of the waiters are very easy on the eye! ;-) read more

Whether you sit inside or outside, you can enjoy the Lemon Jelly experience. I like the set-up of this cafe and the coffee tastes great as well. One of the waiters that works here was overly flirtatious with my married friend but I suppose you can't blame him for trying. She didn't take offense to his advances even though he crept up behind her and said: "Boo!" I swear that this is not a made-up story. My friend never met the waiter before but he was definitely in a playful and friendly mood. Besides the one occasion mentioned above, every other trip to Lemon Jelly has been a delightful and relaxing experience. The crepes are delicious! read more
It's in a great location, perfect for fueling up after shopping around Henry Street. We decided to try this place out for lunch because I was REALLY craving a smoothie. On that front, my smoothie was great - it was exactly what I felt like and hit the spot perfectly. The cons for me, however, were the service and the crepes. Our server wasn't rude... just not exactly friendly and the food took ages. I ordered the Lemon Jelly Special crepe, with chicken, cheese and salsa. It was one of the thickest "crepes" I've ever had, and tasted more like a heavy tortilla wrap. It was stodgy and doughy - exactly what you don't want in a crepe. I really like the location and the layout of the space, and I think it has potential as a cafe, but I probably won't order food there next time. read more

I only got a Carmel Latte but it was excellent. A little more expensive than most places but worth it. The place was also packed and most people seem to be eating breakfast for lunch. Worth a try not only for coffee but also as a late breakfast /lunch restaurant. read more

My roomie and I went here and had crepes (yes gluten free crepes) I had the sir Henry: cheddar, chicken and spinach it came with a tiny side of salad which consisted of a slice of tomato, a slice of red onion and some rocket leaves, now I am a sucker for red onion and asked for a few more slices which were free of charge, the crepe was a bit crispy but I really liked it and the service was AMAZING! We got 2 gluten free crepes and a bottle of wine for €32 and you can't argue with a price like that! read more

My Mam and I went here on Saturday and at the time I was absolutely intrigued to see what the inside of this café looked like as I always saw people enjoying coffee and laughing whilst sitting outside. As soon as we walked through the door all you could smell was fresh foods, the delicious crepes being made and of course the coffee being brewed. My Mam is on a health buzz, so we both opted for the salads, I got the Lemon Jelly House , I asked for extra spinach. I got an iced caramel Latte to start and my Mam got a green tea. When we received our drinks it was evident that the staff take pride in their jobs, the green tea came in a classic tea pot and the smell of the tea was divine. My iced caramel latte came in a perfect sized glass. When our salads arrived I couldn't believe how generous they were with the portions! They were excellently presented. Mine was so colourful and really did live up to the expectations. Both salads came with a beautiful home made toasted bread with some garlic, basically garlic bread but not the greasy kind! I also got a juice to go with my main- a Cold And Flu Beater, 3,95 for a juice is pretty epic as most places in Dublin charge close to 5 €! For desert we were trying to be good and not get a cake but saying that I wish we did as it totally would've been worth it, they had a fine selection of home made pastries too! I got a Vanilla Milkshake to end but instead of being made with dairy milk the staff told me they could make it with coconut, almond, soya milk I went for the coconut for a sweet taste! It was AMAZING, you wouldn't notice the difference, I like the way the staff are catering for everyone's needs and wants. Really awesome! Anyway, this place is incredible! It's so good, that I went back again today for lunch as I was in town. Really good prices, good coffee and great food what more could you want? read more

I love the crepes and omelettes they do here! I live really near and come for a crepe and coffee lunch quite often and it never disappoints. You can also select your fillings which I like, and they serve a good variety of delicious juices and smoothies. The location is great and they have some really nice outdoor seating thats always packed on a sunny day. The staff are really friendly, the price is reasonable and the quality is great. I'd say go here for a sweet or savoury crepe, they are the best! read more
