Went for a lunch and the pizza was awesome. Very, very good menu and consistent quality, excellent service every time I've gone here.

Fresh!! This is a great stop on our way from the bay area to Palm desert. It makes the detour to avoid LA traffic totally worth it! The salads have been outstanding, the iced tea fresh brewed and the atmosphere bright and lovely. read more

The food is very good here. It has a nice atmosphere. Parking is difficult on the boulevard, but there is a parking lot in the back and an entrance from the back parking lot. The service is good. Their wine is good and the desserts are even better! I will continue spending good times and good meals at The Lemon Leaf. You should try this restaurant next time you want a nice meal. read more

I looove the Lemon Leaf, it's one of my favorite places to eat in the Antelope Valley. The pizzas are delicious, as are the salads (southwest chicken), wraps (tuna), and desserts (all of them!). The passion fruit ice tea is a must as well. A lot of people complain about the service, it's really hit or miss depending on who is working, some of the servers are actually really good about getting re-fills etc. Good for lunch, though sometimes it can be pretty crowded. read more

I like the food and the atmosphere here, but I have to say that it does seem pretty pricey for dinner with a soft-drink. I also think they should offer the Baguette Press sandwiches at dinner, since they are tasty and small enough to leave room for coffee and desert. read more

Usually, I order the Italian Sausage Pasta and my husband orders the Southwestern Chicken Salad and we share. I was so disappointed. I ordered a turkey Cobb salad. First of all it was almost double the price of Panera bread and half the portion. The turkey was processed and tasted like fake meat. Yea, two stars as there is nothing special about the Lemon Leaf. Most food is obviously prepared way in advance, then heated to order. Of course pizzas aren't made in advance...but then again they aren't very good. What really makes this place average at best is you order and pay...then find a table to sit in and they bring the food to your table....like round table or Carl's Jr. Great way to keep employee expense to a minimum (most are teenagers anyways) . In the context of places to eat in Lancaster it continues to get good reviews from ignorant locals who don't really know what good dining is like. So pay at the register first (like any fast food place), then have your mediocre food brought out to you by some 16 year old. I'll dine elsewhere thank you read more

Bad customer service to go order took way too long, over priced food my salad I got was almost 14 dollars and was extremely small come on you guys can do better than this!! I've eaten here a few times and the food is good, but portions are pretty small and I don't think that the food is organic, but "fresh".....whatever that means. I usually get the food to go, so that may be the reason with the small portion size. A bit pricey if you are going to eat here for lunch because the the menu and prices are the same for dinner as well. It's really hard to get out of here without spending $20+ for one person and that number can easily get to $30 if you want dessert. Went to Lemon Leaf Cafe for the first time tonight..the food was amazing and so were the servers (Christian and Scout), they definitely deserve a standing ovation for their service. They always kept our drinks full and were very hospitable/friendly. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and the Italian sausage pasta, it was AMAZING. I ordered the mushroom raviolli, or Portabello Mushroom Triangoli. There were only 6 and they were small too, at around $12 for the plate too! It tasted good but I could have made it at home and just bought store made mushroom raviolli. They were out of desserts so I couldn't try to the one I wanted to, so got a brownie sundae instead. It was good but the brownie was burnt around the edges so I lost about 1/3 of it since mine was an end piece. They didn't refill our drinks without us flagging them down and you had to ask for bread the first time, and the second time. My friend ordered the greek salad. It was really small and didn't have very much lettuce, it was almost $11 too. She said there was hardly any cheese and way too many cucumbers. I won't be going back. I spent $20 total and felt really gipped!!! read more

Having lived in Lancaster all my life and remembering the days when good food was hard to find locally, I am a huge fan of this cute little cafe. Food is consistently good. The Rustica Roma pizza is outstanding with a thin crust, spicy meats, aged cheeses and kalamata olives. The "Pink Pasta" is awesome too with grilled chicken and a spicy cream sauce that's rich but not heavy. Desserts are delicious and homemade. The orange cake with mocha frosting is wonderfully unique. The chocolate cake is perfect. The gorgonzola focaccia makes a super appetizer. They also make a variety of teas steeped at your table and espresso drinks. Service is friendly and attentive. Definitely a place to add to your list of fine local eateries. read more

For as pricy as it is you would think to have it staffed or at least have the owner pitch in when the customers are being neglected in front of your eyes!!! My pasta had a piece of brillo pad in it! And the salad I paid $15.00 for was the size of a dinner salad at most other restaurants. I lost my appetite when I saw the brillo pad. I let the waitress know that for $15.00 I shouldn't be able to see through the salad to the bottom of the plate. They arranged a very thin layer of lettuce sporadically over the plate and placed a few cucumbers over that to decorate. Added a few pieces of chicken, but you could put all of that on a saucer which would only be about 2 inches high..a total rip off. The bbq chicken pizza is good, but this place is pricey for the portion size you get. Meh.... read more

I frequently visit Lemon Leaf for lunch when I am in Lancaster, the service is always impressive and the food consistent. I have never tried anything that I did not enjoy and try to stop by at least every couple weeks. The barbecue chicken pizza has become my favorite but I do try and sample other dishes as well and have yet to be disappointed. read more

I had the Penne Arrabbiata on 12/5/15. The description of the dish mentioned jalapeno as an ingredient, but who ever the chef is does not believe in the subtle use of spices. The dish was so very spiced with jalapeno that I could hardly get it down. I asked for extra bread to help get rid of the pain in my mouth. No, would not go back to this place again. To be fair I've eaten there maybe a dozen times but haven't eaten there in a year or so, so maybe things have changed. I just got tired of leaving the place hungry. Portions are small making for a pricey meal if you want to get full. More fit for petite 100 lb women and not 200 lb 6'2" guys. All open seating so zero privacy. I have been to this place several times. One time I got food poisening from their chicken in a greek wrap. This time, I ordered a greek salad to go and when I got back to my office and opened up the bag.... it looked like a very small side dinner salad... for $8.95! Good thing it came with bread because it didn't fill me up at all. Although, the bread is quite hard. The other times I've been there, it's been good. The food was great. this is my favorite resteraunt in the antelope valley. the only cons are: i wish it was an actual sit down restaraunt where you had a waiter. the way that it is set up is as follows: you walk in, stand in line, order, seat yourself, and wait to be served. it is kinda akward and you can always tell if someone hasn't been there before. but other than that, everything is delightful. try the quatro fromagio pizza or any of the pastas read more

It was interesting to read the review about the wait staff, this so called finer dining has no table service. News Flash: you will never be considered fine dining as long as people que up at the cash register to order and pay in advance and then servers bring your food to your table that you chose because there is no actual seating of you and/or your group (like a pizza place). The food is good for this area..but only in that context. Most is pre-prepared. I think many of these reviews are a little liberal with their stars. Again, in the context of what is available in this area the Lemon Leaf is above average. Overall, it is mediocore at best and will never be considered fine dining as long as there is no table wait service. read more
