Driving through and stopped in this cute little town called Mossy Rock! We wanted lunch and we saw Lemon Tree Cafe. Cute little cafe, right on the main strip. This is just wholesome good food. Service animals are not welcome here. The food is awesome and most of the staff is friendly. I have been here 3 times, always with my medically necessary mobility service dog, and never had any issues with anyone or anything. My service dog has always been well behaved. When I went in this morning, I was helped by the cook because the female server was not available. Once I tried to sit down I was informed that "since you have a dog you have to sit outside ", I asked "even with a service dog" and she told me rudely that it didn't matter I would have to stay outside. I am very disappointed because I liked the food and the staff until this morning. read more

Unfortunately, they have succumbed to shrinkflation like everywhere else, but a little more pronounced than other places. I got three meals and two sides(potatoes and 4 sausage links that were also $4). The potatoes were no more than 3 ounces for $4(insane, didn't even look like a full potato) and this meal(pictured) was $13 as were the other two meals, this 100% is not worth that price, maybe half the price for quantity. Food is better than okay. Staff tries really hard. Prices are great. Tip: don't serve biscuits and gravy cold and murder over medium eggs. Put more grounds in your coffee. We shouldn't be able to see the spoon in the cup. Other than that... fantastic home made bread, biscuits and jam. read more

I enjoyed the taco salad - it was probably the best taco salad I've ever had! A full plate of great quality lettuce topped with thick shredded cheddar cheese, lean ground beef , black beans, olives, green onions and on the side- sour cream, salsa and real guacamole. I had a Coworker order me something from her this week. I said surprise me. She got me a vegetable wrap. Ok yumm. But not this one. She said it has humus on it and all kinds of vegetables. Great. No it has like a guacamole on it, chopped lettuce, slices tomato, and big thick slices of onion. That's it. The only flavor was onion. You could treat nothing else because of the thickness of them. Attempted to come here while camping at Mossyrock and only made it to the front door. No employees wearing masks in a small enclosed space despite a statewide mandate. Glad we found this spot on our way back from Mt. Rainier! Cute spot with delicious sandwiches and coffee. The white and wheat bread is made in house and was perfectly toasted on the guacamole turkey sandwich we ordered. The caesar salad was also delicious. Extra barista brownie points when she asked me whether I liked my cappuccino wet or dry. I found this delightful little gem on my way up to visit a friend a few hours away. I decided to take the scenic backroads and eventually decided I needed two things 1) to pee and 2) coffee. I stumbled upon this little sleepy town that is honestly so charming and this coffee shop which drive thru line was down the road! That must be a good sign! I went in and was very happy they had a bathroom I could use and a large menu of items I could order. The sandwiches sounded so good but I only grabbed a coffee this time around. It was very tasty! We were hungry after seeing the tulip field up the street and this place looked cute and new so we stopped in for lunch with my husband and toddler. It's a tiny little cafe but very clean, with a bathroom and a simple menu that's great for the whole family. We got a grilled cheese for my son on sunflower bread. The sunflower bread is DELICIOUS and so soft. Also ordered a chicken Caesar salad wrap and a Cuban sandwich which both came with the corn chowder. Everything was good and decent portions. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.

Been wanting to stop in for a long time especially after reading all the positive reviews. Went through the drive thru. Ordered a double espresso and a blended mocha. Barista was friendly and polite and the fresh baked aromas wafting out the window were tantalizing! My mom, aka mocha aficionado, said the blended mocha was hands down one of the best she's ever had. My double espresso was perfect, not burnt, very smooth and just a hint of sweet. Excellent. Prices are decent for the area. Hope to return soon to try out their lunch menu and try some pie. read more

If you want a delicious coffee drink, Lemon Tree is the place to go! I have never gotten a bad drink. The food and pastries are always amazing as well. The food is baked on site daily. A drive thru is great for ordering or picking up pre-ordered food or drinks! Highly recommend!! read more

We were able to get parking and as we entered we were greeted warmly by staff. Luckily, there was a small table for us so we were seated right away with menus. The staff here are on point with checking in at the perfect times and they always do a sweep for coffee and water refills, to see if anyone needs anything or anything else. They are also so friendly and seem to know their regulars well too. The bathroom is well-maintained and even has a changing station. I got the strawberry lemonade and the biscuits and gravy combo that comes with eggs, hash browns, and ham while my boyfriend got the chicken club sandwich. The drink arrived immediately and not even after a few minutes did our food arrive. The pictures and reviews did not lie, the portions were huge and the food tasted great especially for the price. You do pay at the front once they drop off the tab. I do also appreciate that they sell some local goods from honey, sauces, jewelry and other neat things.
