A Mediterranean Gem in Chesterton! My husband and I stopped into Lemon Tree Mediterranean and were absolutely blown away. We both had bowls with half chicken shawarma and half steak--each bite was bursting with flavor. The jasmine rice base was warm and fluffy, and we loaded up on all the fresh toppings: crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta, red onion--you name it. The real standouts? Their garlicky garlic sauce and spicy yogurt. SO good! It reminded me of a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, but way fresher and more flavorful. You get to build your own bowl, wrap, or salad, and they have amazing sides like grilled veggies, hummus, tabouleh, and even lentil or lemon chicken soup. The owners, David and Lisa, were so welcoming and kind--they really make you feel at home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ate out on the beautiful patio and soaked up the relaxed atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can tell everything is made with love and high-quality ingredients. Highly recommend this place if you're anywhere near Chesterton. It's fresh, fast, and full of flavor--what more could you ask for?

I've been a big fan of Lemon tree's mediterran bowls for many years. I am so grateful to have a healthy food option, with quality ingredients, on the ready, right here in Chesterton. My office is nearby, so I've had the chance to see this business step up their game during this pandemic. I am impressed with the hard work and dedication I've been a witness to. Each morning, when they fire up their new oven, the whole neighborhood smells Amazing! If it's your first time, I recommend the garlicky garlic sauce to top off whatever you decide to get. The lentil soup is another favorite. They have gluten free desserts that are house made as well. I can not recommend this restaurant enough.

Food was good, service was great. Took time to explain menu. If weather was better you could eat outside.

It was pretty good. The soup wasn't lemony enough for my taste, it it was still good. The hummus is a bit grainy, but the taste is on point!

I recently ordered a medium Good Mojo drink along with a party-size hummus and veggie platter and…read moreunfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. The hummus was extremely watery--more like a soup consistency than the thick, creamy hummus I expected. It made it difficult to enjoy with the vegetables or chips. Speaking of the platter, for something labeled "party size," there were surprisingly very few vegetables included. Instead, it came with a large amount of chips. I was also expecting multigrain chips based on the photo but they were just plain tortilla chips, which wasn't what I had in mind. The Good Mojo juice itself tasted good, although it was served warm rather than chilled. Overall, for the amount I spent, I had much higher hopes for the quality and portion balance of what I was getting. It just didn't feel like the value matched the price.

A whole lotta greens, straight to the dome. I got the Kale Kraze Salad (quinoa, almonds,…read morecranberries, avocado and kale marinated in olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper). The salad came with a lemon garlic dressing on the side, which I didn't pour over the salad, but instead dipped forkfuls lightly into the cup. The salad was huge! There was no way I could finish it, and I didn't. But it was satisfying and made my body feel oh-so good, the way that a body feels good when eating whole foods. Roots Market Cafe has a lot of nourishing options here. I had a hard time choosing what to get, because they have so many tasty-sounding options. Most (all?) of the menu is either vegetarian or vegan, and they offer salads, wraps, smoothies, juices, and a selection of baked goods. This place is also a little market! You can find fresh produce here -- I saw sweet potatoes, broccoli, zucchini, ginger root, bananas, pineapple, berries and other things. They also sell alternative milks, mushroom coffee, organic eggs, kimchi, vegan snacks, and things I have never seen, like vegan marshmallows and vegan marshmallow cream. Who knew that existed? I got my salad to go, but they have a dining room where you can sit and stay a while. The dining room is separate from the market and ordering counter, and is located in an entirely different room.

Souvlaki plate and I got a Gyro. Everything was excellent as usual. The only thing I had a problem with the Gyro was not enough meat in the Gyro for what you're paying for it I mean, if you put a two more sliver of meat on there, I wouldn't have mention this but the Gyro was kind of small. So whoever makes up the Guerro's, maybe you need to add just two more sliver of meat on there and your people will be a lot happier and they'll come and get more. So I hope my next Gyro you could put that extra two things of slices of sliver meat on there and make it a little bit better. I'll be happy. I'll order it all the time if we eat there at least four times a month that's the least. Atmosphere it's nice customers that are sitting in there eating food happy and smiling . Staff and chefs are nice and polite. Thank you very much. Everybody have a great day.

It's also way over priced over 20 dollars for a gyro combo is ridiculous when there are only places around town that it's like 14-15 for the same thing. From other reviews i see I'm not the only one saying how expensive this place is for what you get.
