Delicious! I ordered via Uber Eats and everyone at the office was pleased with their meals. Fresh quality food prepared perfectly. It's hard finding restaurant options as a Vegan to eat alongside non-Vegans, but this menu is extensive and you're sure to find an option for everyone. My Vegan Meatball Sub on a whole wheat baguette came with a side salad and was superb, a bit skimpy on the marinara/tomato sauce, but fantastic flavors nonetheless. Everything was hot and fresh and the salad dressing was amazing. I also loved my avocado, date, spinach, mango, and almond milk smoothie. Walking in to Lemoni Cafe, you get an "at home" feeling. The lights are perfectly dim, and although the decor is a little crowded it gives off a nice hole in the wall feel. I have been coming to Lemoni cafe for about 2 years. I've always liked the food here, specially their soups and smoothies. The service is hit or miss. I like most of the servers but sometimes they are not very attentive for it being such a small place. Regardless it's a nice experience overall. Used to come here often before going vegan and everything tasted fresh and was consistently good. Stopped by a few weeks ago to try their new vegan options and they were disgusting. Everything was bland and extremely oily/soggy. One of my items was so inedible I returned it to the kitchen and explained what the deal was and the waitress just apologized and still charged me for it! Had lunch here and was pleased to see so many vegetarian and vegan options. The menu is huge - so many great items to choose from. I opted for the hummus appetizer and the veggie quesadilla as my entree, and was happy with both dishes. The hummus was flavorful, everyone loved it. The quesadilla portion was really big, enough for me to take some home. My one qualm is that it was a tad bit on the greasy side. First time eating at this place and I unfortunately had a terrible experience. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken and when I received the salad it was drenched in balsamic vinaigrette dressing . I was disappointed because I do not like balsamic and Greek salad dressings DO NOT come with balsamic dressing . Usually the dressing are vinagrete or pure oil , lime and pepper. Anyway , I explained to the server ( Richard) that I don't like balsamic if he can change the salad for just oil and pepper. He takes the plate to the back and comes back to tell me that if I order another salad he still has to charge me 50% of the salad with the balsamic . Little do they know I am in the industry and no respectable restaurant will charge you for a salad you did not like . They simply will replace it ( free of charge) so you can enjoy your food. I think it is rude and poor service to charge %50 for a salad that I disliked. I do not recommend this place and will not return here. read more

This could easily become my new brunch spot! The inside of the restaurant makes me feel like I'm in Brooklyn. :-) I really liked my smoked salmon platter. It was Mediterranean style, with goat cheese, avocado, capers, onions and a side of vinaigrette. It was so good and came with tons of salmon. The mimosas were great. I hate restaurants that offer unlimited mimosas, but fill them up with OJ. This is definitely not one of those places. My only complaint was about service. It took forever for a waitress to come and take our order and we had to keep flagging them down for refills. There were 3 servers in the small restaurant and not all the tables were occupied. I had lunch there a couple of hours ago with Ms. Whitney R and her coworker, and woaaah how have I not been here before? The minute one of them mentioned Lemoni, my mind scrolled quickly through my bookmarks, and there it was. I want to be the owner of Lemoni Cafe, its so cute and quaint, I'd hang out with my friends all day long and make them tea and panninis...which from what I gathered is exactly what was going on with some of the locals. Perfect lunch place, I had their cold veggie wrap which was huge! Half of the wrap was the size of two of my fists. I was considering leaving one half for later, but my inner fat kid couldn't resist and ate it all. I would ransack villages to find the secret to their 3 bean salad recipe, it magically disappeared from my plate before Whit got the chance to finish her story. I also loved the mint leaf in my water, what a clever way to give it some pizazz. But wait it gets better, I paid a total of $8.36 (w/ tax+tip) for this amazing lunch! Lemoni is my new favorite place, a true hidden gem in the Design District. With each visit, the service and tastiness of the food improves. I wagered between getting what I wanted and planned on ordering versus trying one of their Summer Combos. Usually when I don't go with my gut instinct, I often get disappointed... but not here! I went with the combo. They have 4 choices, all a little different. The one I picked was a full sized panini, a full sized soup, and a soda for $8, emphasis on "full-sized." This aint your Au Bon Pain combo with half-sizes that leave you hungry immediately after you finish eating and ready for more. Their Pea soup was almost as good as my handed-down secret recipe version that takes 6 hours to make. It was pretty close to perfect green goodnes and if you like to share, this could be an opportunity to do so. The panini was huge enough to have leftovers for today. And the soda ... well, whatever, its soda. I was so pleased with my meal here I will definitely be going back. This lunch was almost perfect aside from us being chased to the car after the waitress's bill miscalculations. If in the area of the Design District/Midtown, this is definitely one of those stand-out places you have to stop in and visit. read more

Lemoni has paninis, wraps, sandwiches, salads, tons of small plate appetizers, sides, smoothies, and desserts. I got the number 13 smoothie (avocado, strawberry, spinach, banana, soy milk, honey) and my friend got the number 6 (mango, pineapple, banana, oj). She really liked hers....I LOVED mine. We also got the Moroccan fruit salad (apples, pineapple, grapes, mint, orange juice, slices, and lemon ricotta) which was the right mix of sweet and tart. It was delicious. My friend for the green omelette which came with a side of tomatoes and whole wheat toast. The omelette had basil, spinach, and parsley. She loved it. A few of us got the chicken salad (greens, tomatoes, red onion, olive, green pepper, carrots, cucumber, pepperocini, and delicious homemade chicken salad) which was so flavorful and light. I'd neglected Lemoni since around the time of my initial review. But I recently "rediscovered" the place, and I'm embarrassed that it took me so long to return! The menu's gotten a revamp, and they have more paninis and wraps than you can shake a stick at. Everything sounds amazing, and everything I've had in my past couple visits has been truly amazing. The roasted veggie wrap was amazing, and chock-full of fresh and tasty veggies. The greek chicken wrap was the perfect balance of greens to meat to tangy feta cheese. The 3-bean salad that comes alongside the wraps is outta control good. The owner (oops, didn't catch her name) is a sweetheart. Eager to please, and delighted that you're enjoying her cafe and its fresh offerings. Make sure you check out the daily specials as well - written on a chalk board inside the cafe. You can also call to inquire, or sign up for their email list, and be notified that way. I brought back a couple menus for people in my office, and they're in love too. We visited Lemoni last year during this time! It was pretty empty, so we had the small place to ourselves. The wait staff are so kind and friendly. The food was amazing. We had two sandwiches - the salmon burger and a turkey/avocado. Both were delicious! We decided to visit Lemoni again this year! FYI Petroni (probably incorrect spelling) needs an attitude adjustment. Even for Miami he is horrible. I dropped into this place today to speak with a manager after leaving several messages, none returned. My friend who was visiting from out of town ordered food from here and it was an awful experience. Took over two hours and when you see the pictures you will be disgusted. Manager promised to refund and never did, now doesn't want to return phone calls. It's a shame because I used to really like this place and suggested it to my friend. I went in today to speak personally with the manager about the problem and had to deal with Petroni. So unpleasant. Made the whole experience worse. So rude to me for NO reason. Horrible. Made me feel uncomfortable that I even wanted to speak to a manager. He had a caustic attitude like "how dare I"?! So horrible! read more

I rarely write reviews, let alone negative ones but I feel so strongly about the way I was treated when trying to place an order for delivery that I had to. If I could give a Zero, I would. After being highly recommended by an employee and reading an great menu I was very excited to try Lemoni. I called and placed an order for delivery and after 45 minutes, I was called my someone at the store and they said the driver could not find me. They were simply on the wrong side of the building and just needed to walk down a breezeway. 25 minutes went by so I called back and was given attitude that because "I wasn't at my location", it would be another 10 or 20 minutes because the driver had other orders in front of me. I asked to speak to a Manager and the person on the phone apparently was the Manager so I asked to speak with the Owner. She said they weren't there and when I asked for their email, she wouldn't give it to me. I then cancelled my order if I wouldn't be put back to first on their route. 5 minutes later the driver called me and I explained the situation and he hung up on me. I went from being very excited to try this restaurant to having such a bad taste in my mouth that I'll never attempt again. Walked past this place after a dinner a little up the block, and was interested so came back the next day for lunch. Wow! What a cool place. First, the menu is too big. They have so many options it was hard to come up with something to order. So, my friend and I both ordered menu items but asked for what we wanted. Give people a choice and they start making their own menu. Our friendly server was A-OK with this. Phew. If I ran this place, I would cut the menu by 50% and if people want to add or delete things encourage them to do so for extra $. They brought out mint ice water, so we just drank up the house water since it was so good. My friend was thinking she had to do this at home (put mint in a pitcher). I really wanted to love this place because of the neighborhood and the very friendly service but I didn't love what I ordered. I think I just didn't pick well though. I got the chicken panini with avocado. There was some dressing on it that I just didn't think and it was extremely over peppered and I usually pile on black pepper. The same dressing was on the salad so I didn't love that either. I did order a strawberry and blueberry smoothie that was delicious though. My girlfriend got veggie quesadillas that were pretty good but not amazing. The service was great, very friendly and efficient. The price is on point for what it is.
