Husband and I wanted sushi but we have cold groceries in the car so we opted for poke. My husband and I have been trying to find a poke places over here that we like since we moved, and I think we found our spot. The bowls were amazing as well as staff. I think that the bowls are fairly priced and they had a variety of proteins and other options to eat other than poke bowls. The ambiance was nice. It was open and clean & I really enjoyed it. Usually we come here to get our poke fix, we use to be regulars here because of how much we would come in. We even got to know the owners and they were always so good to us... They've hired a bunch of new staff and they aren't the best to be honest.. they aren't very nice and they aren't consist with their portioning. We tend to not get poke in the area because we have a go to sushi spot, but we decided to give LemonShark a try. We placed an order online for pickup for two customized bowls (a two scoop and a three scoop). We picked up our order within 15 minutes of placing it. When I got to the store, I wasn't greeted and the two girls in front were rather rude. I was friendly and said that I was there to pick up an order, and they simply pointed to a bag that was wrapped up at the end of the counter. I was a little off put by the interaction, but hoped that our food was prepared well. We went home to eat and found that our bowls did not taste very fresh. Though they were loaded up pretty well to our specifications, the quality was not good. To start, the rice was really hard, almost as if it was undercooked. The fish tasted old, and I pulled out a few pieces because they seemed suspicious. A couple pieces of shrimp were not cleaned. The veggies were dried out. And the tofu that my girlfriend got tasted sour. Some of the ingredients were fresher, but it seemed as though they drenched everything in sauce to mask the poorer ingredients. We did our best to eat through what we could, considering that the bowls were a bit pricey, but most of it went to waste. We were very disappointed with our visit and won't be back. Honestly wasn't into this spot when they first arrived in Yucaipa (adjacent to Dominos) or poke bowl in general. Always figured "Hey, if I'm craving sushi.. then get sushi with 100% satisfaction versus something subpar to traditional sushi." Okay, maybe that mentality remains, but after giving LemonShark Poke another shot and with the right ingredients this time... we're glad we did! Very much enjoyed it and now my daughter keeps asking for more poke bowl it's making my stomach churn. For a difference of $2 compared to 1 scoop, much better just to get a 3 scoop bowl I figured. 3 scoops - had 1 scoop of shoshu salmon (not sure how it was spelled), 1 scoop spicy salmon, and 1 scoop spicy crab. Traditional white rice. Toppings? Masago, green onions, ginger, seaweed salad.. few other things I forget, topped with dried, crunchy garlic. I should've asked for the onion crunchy topping also. But now for the secret combo that made a huge difference compared to before - at least it did for us! Sauce combination - Japanese mayo and eel sauce! Omg this combo is practically the mix plenty of sushi restaurants use in plenty of their dishes. I added a 3rd - their poke sauce, and the 3 together didn't disappoint at all! So why the 4 stars instead of 5? 2 ladies working there seemed to be in quite a rush, as in rushing us customers, and were more into chit chatting than tending to customers who aren't too familiar with the poke chain. If you look at the photos.. uhh, waaaaay too much topping of dried garlic!! Now we know better to make sure and tell them light on those toppings, or they'll just flood the top with it! Maybe I'm just not familiar with poke bowl spots - is this a norm? If it is, well newcomers beware and make sure to let them know if you don't want so much of the crunchy toppings. Overall, great spot for a sushi "quick fix" but for they're prices, I still would rather grab a baked salmon roll elsewhere. If you're craving sushi, go get sushi! If you just want a quick bite in a comfy bowl to go, then stop on by and you won't be disappointed. Try the 2 sauce combo with mayo and eel sauce. Hopefully you like it! read more

Not every Poké place is good... but this restaurant really puts that statement to shame! There's two sisters who run the place and I've only met the one with glasses but she is very lovely. Very friendly. very nice. She let me and my mom try anything and everything while we were putting together our poké bowls. Just ask! She gave generous amounts of food considering each scoop was $2.50 each. Lots of food for the price so I think it's worth it. They make all their side dishes in house so it's original and delicious! I definitely would recommend this place not only for the customer service or food but for the quality of everything this restaurant has to offer. The restaurant itself was also very clean and a nice quiet place to sit and eat. Love this location, love love love the poke here. However, they can never get their pricing right and the cashiers never know how to input the poke bowls. I've gone here for years and every time it's something, especially now that every time I go in it's someone different when previously there was a fairly set crew when I'd go in. I haven't been there in a few months (I'm pregnant and it's just not the same without the poke, and only getting a veggie bowl lol) however my wife ALWAYS gets a veggie bowl so we know the pricing of them. Tell me why the cashier rings me up for two one-scoop bowls (not veggie, which is cheaper) then charges me extra for mango (which isn't a premium topping) then charges me extra for my chips to be on the side (I get them on the side every time we go in, this is nothing new and has never been extra) plus she didn't even fill up my bowls completely, the previous staff who was fairly set in place always filled up the bowls, they're already expensive why jip your customers? Used to love coming here for my poke fix but recently the staff has made the experience unpleasant. I came in one afternoon and an older woman came out from the back. She never greeted me and instead of beginning my order, got out greens to restock the counter (no one was in front of me mind you). Once she was all finished she finally asked if I was ready to order, I was, so we got started. Throughout the whole experience she was not personable, never smiled, and gave off a rude attitude as if I was a bother. As I continued ordering another older woman came out from the back and was restocking. She also gave off a rude attitude and both workers overall gave off an unpleasant vibe that didn't make me feel welcome or happy to purchase from the restaurant. My boyfriend was sitting down waiting for me to get my food as I was taking it to go and even commented on the workers' rude attitudes as he was observing from afar after being ready to go. I used to love coming in and even eating in for the lively young women that worked in the establishment that were happy to help and engage but this experience was much different. At the end of the day, with no customers there would be no paycheck and I don't think these women understand that concept. Good luck to their business with a bad attitude. read more

I love this little gem. It's about 20 minutes from my house and it really is kind of the only poke place in the area. It is much better than the other chain. Obviously the locations in San Diego or Orange County will give you a lot better quality but for your local joint, this is exactly what I love. When I got home from a very short distance drive, I started eating. In the middle of eating I found a hair and the shrimp had a foul smell and a very weird taste.
