    Rice options
    Paul C.

City Sushi and Grill Restaurant split up their restaurant into two and introduced City Pho. It was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. I do like the fact you can order sushi too and they have a Pho Sushi Combo for a couple bucks extra. The rice options are a bit different, but I didn't try the rice options. I was kinda worried they would use the sushi/Japanese rice as opposed to the broken rice typical Vietnamese restaurants use. Very nice owners and love supporting local Beaumont/Cherry Valley businesses. Try it out guys.

I thought it was pretty good beef pho. Would've liked more meat though. Enjoyed the flavor.

We were craving…read moreVietnamese food and just wanted something warm and filling, and it ended up being a really good choice. Of course we had to get the pho. The bowl came out steaming hot with a good amount of noodles and meat. Once I added some lime, herbs, and everything else the way I like it, it really hit the spot. There's just something about a hot bowl of pho when you're hungry that never misses. We also got some spring rolls and a couple other things to share. The spring rolls tasted fresh and were a nice lighter option between bites of pho. Portions overall were pretty generous too. We definitely ordered more than we needed because everything sounded good when we were looking at the menu lol. Service was quick and straightforward. We didn't have to sit around forever waiting for our food, and everyone we interacted with was nice. I also liked that the restaurant felt pretty casual and comfortable. Nothing overly fancy, just a good place to sit down with family or friends and actually enjoy a meal. By the time we finished we were completely full and still had some food left. Overall, To Pho was a solid find. Good portions, comforting Vietnamese food, quick service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area again, especially when I'm craving a big bowl of pho.

Delectable meal. Of the highest earthly quality, fresh from the wombs of Da Nang. The expertise on…read morethe Pho is beyond incredible. The aroma, the texture, the broth brimming with flavor, the added toppings, all formed the concrete masterpiece of a Pho. But let's get into depth, because the paragraph above did not display the true depth of it's greatness. Let's say your friend recommended you a Vietnamese restaurant. You tried a few prior but most of them were mediocre. So you were hesitant but decided to give it a try. When you went up to the entrance, you took a half-a-second peek. The entire restaurant was clean like the slate of a canvas. Once you stepped inside, your nostrils embraced the fresh smell. Even before you could have the opportunity to take a good in-depth look around, that smell made you know everything. You knew it was going to be clean and sparkly, hygienic and orderly. You knew it was going to be a refreshing spot, and you were right! And afterwards, recovering from the intense first impression, you were greeted with welcoming staff, guided to a shiny wooden table, seated on a comfortable chair, and had the ability to choose from a menu filled with variety of meals worth slobbering your tongues over for. You looked at the menu, drool escaping your mouth, frothing perhaps? Whatever, what was important was that you saw utopia. The meals displayed as mere pictures and words already gave you a preview of near future delight, that increment, that sample was almost enough to satisfy the chimeras of your imagination, apart from the actual consumption of-course. Once you ordered, the pearly smile of the waiter inspired hope, like a promise your wishes were to be fulfilled, and there, you dallied with the scenarios. You dallied with how you would greet your meal, that good good Pho... how you would approach it, shake it's hand with the tips of your chopsticks, and slurp it up. You fiddled with your thoughts for quite some time! But suddenly, there! Here she was walking towards you, the same waiter. After 10 minutes of anticipation, the relentless tapping of the leg excited for it's treat, you finally received it. Boxed into a clean bowl, you got to whiff the contents. You prepared your sticks, and dived right into it! Headfirst! The long noodles were whirled into your mouth, you could feel the slimy texture. The smell of the broth, the taste of the broth, the pork, the toppings, the little onions, it was heaven on earth and you witnessed it first hand! After a while, you finished the bowl. You devoured the last pieces, and poured the rest of the broth into your mouth. You took a napkin and wiped your pho-broth-smothered lips and gave a "whoo!" expressing your content. You paid the bill and gave a 15$ tip and walked slowly out the restaurant, taking your time just to slowly hug the smell of your beloved diner, as if it was goodbye. Your hands reached the door handle, a tear welled up in your eye as you gave a quick look back. There was the waiter, there was your ex-table, there was the rest of the smiling staff and the enjoying guests. You mouthed "farewell" and took a step back into the real world, free from the dreams of cuisine. "Will I ever get to see you again?" You heard yourself utter. That was my experience. As you can see. Thank you for everything To Pho.

This is our new favorite Vietnamese spot in the IE!!! Sorry we were so hungry we already ate three…read moreof the grilled pork spring rolls before I took the picture. Likewise with the wanton noodle soup they are very generous with the wontons. We had already eaten at least six. The chicken based soup was very rich and flavorful and well balanced. The shrimp wontons were delicious and the noodles were firm and had a nice chew. The fried chicken wing appetizer was very different. They were lightly fried very tender and well cooked and then tossed in a lightly sweet and savory sauce with onions and peppers garnished with cilantro, delicious. The service was excellent. Our server promptly brought us ice water, and the menus gave us a couple of minutes to look at the menu and then when we said we weren't quite ready, gave us a couple more minutes to make a decision and took our order. The service was very prompt, but not rushed. The other excellent thing was our server came by to refill our water several times when he saw that our glass was getting low that is so unusual these days usually you have to ask for a refill and you may or may not get it in most restaurants now, I love that. The interior is very neat and orderly, modern decor and very comfortable just a sidenote the men's room may be one of the cleanest that I have ever seen in an Asian restaurant. Kudos to the staff the food quality is excellent, it's a comfortable environment with great service. Highly recommended. I'm really looking forward to trying more things off the menu, the number 72 is going to be the next thing I try it looked delicious. Someone else was eating it and I asked our server what it was.
