A very good car wash. I've been going here for years for the free vacuums and car washs. I never bought a membership so I can't comment on that but otherwise, the regular car washes are very good. My main complaint is that they have no recycling bins. Why do they not provide a way for customers to dispose of recyclable items along with our trash? I don't want to throw away cans and bottles so I have to keep those when I clean out my car until I can find one. That is my #1 recommendation for them. It would take hardly any extra effort to have a few recycling bins outside for customers to use. read more

I got suckered into the $3 "car wash" that is advertised on the huge sign for this company. After getting out of the wash, my car was no cleaner but now had water spots. The washable window paint on my car was exactly as it was when I entered the wash. Apparently the $3 wash doesn't include any side bushes. When I spoke to an employee about my disappointment he said that the $3 car wash won't clean a car and there are no refunds. He was apologetic but explained this was how the owner ran his business and he couldn't do anything for me. I called the owner, who was very unprofessional and hung up on me when I told him he really should either give me a refund or an effective wash. I guess $3 is more important to him than having a returning customer who would purchase a more expensive wash that was actually effective in the future. I arrived around 7:10-15 to use the dog wash portion of the car wash. I got into the room where outside on the wall it is posted "last wash 7:30." After getting my dog unleashed and my money ready I noticed a car wash attendant waiting to speak to me outside the door. He proceeded to tell me that they really want us "out the door by 7:30" and that he'd allow me to use the facilities because he was on his phone in the main room and it was really his fault that I was able to get into them.... this all felt like harassment that made me not want to come back. I'll continue to return to this place because I like having a space dedicated for this purpose... but I will not forget his instance. It's also worth noting that their blow dryer tips will shoot off when in use... that part of the facility is in need of maintenance. read more

My family moved to Lemont recently and I am very particular about keeping our vehicles clean. Lemont Express Car Wash continues to do an excellent job and we are very pleased with the final outcome. I say that since July, we have used the car wash at least 28 times and never have an issue. The vacuums work extremely well and every time we have been their it is always clean and very well illuminated, especially at night. I drive a Ford Raptor and no issues at all with clearance, particularly with the rims and tires (which I was afraid would rub but does not). With this whole COVID-19 Pandemic, we have never interacted with any of the employees except when entering the car wash and that is with hand signals only (enter, stop, neutral) which my wife appreciates. Overall, an excellent car wash and close to home which is a bonus. read more

This place is called rainstorm now and I have never been more frustrated with a business before. I loved having the membership and coming weekly but as soon as they got bought out it has gone completely down the drain. I continued my monthly membership and I have been charged DOUBLE EVERY MONTH since it became rainstorm (about 5 months ago). I didn't noticed at first but once I did I brought it to their attention. Now this was about over a month ago and here I am over a month later still getting charged double every month. I have gone in several times to get this fixed and nothing has happened. I keep being told they fixed or will fix it and clearly they haven't. They owe me at least 100 bucks at this point and frankly I'm going to just cancel it all together. Hope Lemont gets a new car wash! The one down the street from this place went from good to terrible. Did excellent job in past, now with new system you have to do everything yourself. But.......for like $15-$20's more the crew will clean inside which ends up costing way more than what you paid in the past for the top-of-the-line service. So I thought I would try out this place. First off, upon driving up to make your selection....... there is no $3 option. But it's ok, I chose the higher priced option because I wanted all the extras. Didn't bother with their vacuums, others there were complaining about them not working. So I get home and noticed my front right headlamp which was crystal clear before, is now all cloudy and scratchy looking, obviously their equipment caused it. So now that sucks, there's no local car wash I want to go to anymore. Two car washes and they both suck! read more

After leaving multiple voicemails and even showing up I finally heard back Friday. They said it wasn't their fault and wanted to offer me a $25 gift card to use their carwash again. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK January 26, 2018 about 3:15pm This should be the sign out on front. My brand new car with only 8000 miles on it got messed up going through this S*+# hole carwash. My car jumped the track and ended up against the car wash mechanisms inside the wash. I now have dents and scratches on left from fender. I had to hit my brakes in order to not get the whole side of my car messed up. Ended up having to back up, turn the steering wheel to get back on the track to drive myself out. With freezing temps and soap all over my car, I was told to go back through and they would pay for the rinse off. (They never paid, I was forced to pay again. Man am I stupid) On my way back through, the same thing happened in the same spot. Attendant blamed me both times for turning my wheel to the left to "hop" the wheel guides. Yeah, I wanted my new car to get all F@*^%up. I went into office to explain that they should probably take a look at this, but insisted I was in the wrong, I must have turned the steering wheel. I have been through this car wash 100s of times without issue, then my car went off the track twice in a row. Good Luck if you go through this car wash. The car wash doesn't get the job done. Paid $13 and the back of my car wasn't even cleaned. As for the pet wash, what a farce. Better have the correct money because there is no change. I had to pay $10 for a 10 minute wash instead of $7 like it says. Only had 2 $5 bills. My loss! The shampoo comes out with a drizzle of water. No water pressure. You have to turn the nobs when you want to rinse and dry the dog. The dryer is the only good thing. It has lots of power. No added perks - like waste paper basket to put pet hair in, apron, or towels to help dry and most of all no disinfectant when you are done and cleaning up. I'll stick to Petco for $10 and it's got everything. Can't say I didn't try it. Not my cup of tea. read more

Wow! First time back since they knocked the old joint down a year ago, and I am blown away! The place is enormous, made of limestone, on top of the hill. It looks like a Cathedral, which my old home town is famous for. The vacs are free, you just pull up, hose on each side, you can vac your car in 2 minutes! I know cause I did the trunk too! The wash was busy, but once I hit the gate I was home free. So much soap and colored waxes swirling fabrics that caressed my SALTY car. Then I hit the drying area. I couldn't count them all. Mostly because they have a giant heater with flames you can see! My 3 year old wanted to do it again. He said it was like the toy in the happy meal he got at mcd next door. Before I wacuumed I asked a young man that was sweeping the area for a suggestion. The washes start as low as $3 , but I was headed to Moms after the long trip, so he suggested the $10 wash, because it cleans the underbody too, and puts on a great wax shine! The bonus were my wheels. I have an SUV with shiny aluminum rims that I had not touched in a while. When I got to my Mom's, my brother thought I just bought the car! The rims and the armor all set my black truck up so nicely. My whole family have always gone there, but I'm glad to be home this week, will go again because of the new snowfall, and it am really glad to see that someone invested all this money in our town! Oh, and no tipping! It's mostly automated, but my interaction with staff was minimal but done with my window up, so I was still clutching my tip when I left. Free money! While going through the automatic car wash, a woman in front of me applied her brakes by the shiny tires causing my car to be pushed into hers. After bumping into her car twice I had to lay on my horn to alert the attendant. Quite a frightening experience! Lack of concern of the car wash attendant was just as frightening. Automation - Not quite happening here. Looks like they spent some money to automate this place. a Very bad thing the little gates were getting jammed to let people in. Cars were backed up and could not turn around to escape. No employees around to help. I wanted to like it.... sorry guys perhaps keep staff outside to keep an eye on the automation.
