I got globs of a nasty bubblegum consistency wax on my car from using their DIY bays either from the foam brush or the pressure washer. If you're a bucket wash kind of guy they don't allow that either. If you really car about your paint stick to the touch less laser wash or go somewhere else that will hand wash it for you. Edit: stick to the touchless laser wash when you come here. It's the best touchless machine I've found in the area. I simply don't like their self service bays aside from the fact they take credit cards.

For me, that's important, as I don't roll with a big wad of cash. Aside from the credit card functionality, this is exactly the sort of DIY car wash you can find everywhere. I didn't find anything to distinguish it in a good or bad way otherwise. The credit card feature kind of works as an add-on, rather than completely integrated, which is exactly what happened I expect. Here's how it works. You swipe your card. It immediately accrues $4 in fees and begins washing, rinsing, spot-free rinsing or whatever the dial is set to do. Unfortunately, the timer on the credit card add-on unit counts up, not down, so you don't really know how long you get for your $4. After the initial time is up, it will bump you to the next level of fees (I think it was another $2.25 or $2.50). This process continues until you hit the stop button on the credit card terminal (or you reach the maximum charge, which I think was $8 or $10). For a routine wash, I am able to get my car clean during the $4 cycle. Once, when it was particularly dirty, I was charged a total of $6.50 I think. This seems within reason to me, and I'll continue to come back.
