I have grappled with chronic, intermittent back issues for years. Although acupuncture had been suggested, my apprehension toward invasive needle treatments persisted since my youth, deterring me from trying it. Faced with limited options in Western medicine, excluding surgery, I eventually overcame my reservations and opted for acupuncture on the strong recommendation of a loyal patient, my friend, under the care of Dr. Kim. Upon commencing treatments with Dr. Kim, my initial fears proved unfounded; the sensation of the needles was practically imperceptible. The results were astonishing, providing an immediate 90% relief from my pain. Having undergone five treatments, I write this review today free from any discomfort that I have had for years. Thanks, Lena! For six months I suffered from headaches, dizziness, nausea. Diagnosis - tension headache. After unsuccessful medication, Botox injections into the neck were prescribed. But I found out that perhaps the injections need to be repeated every 3 months. Lena's former patients advised to try acupuncture. Starting from the 3rd session, I felt relief, didn't wake up at night from a headache. Further - improvement every time! Important - needle insertion is almost painless. First, the office setting does NOT evoke the feel of a highly successful practice. When I met with Dr. Joen, she proceeded to tell me that my insurance, Anthem PPO, only covers $50 a visit, although I was told that I was covered by insurance and only had a $20 co-pay when I scheduled the appointment. I asked what the $295 consultation fee that she recommended and other extra charges would do to make me feel better, and she told me wants to focus on my whole body and health and acupuncture would not do accomplish that. This was only after viewing my tongue and checking my pulse. I wanted an explanation of what the greater services would provide and she couldn't tell me as that meant she was consulting and that would cost more. Although I am fortunate enough to afford whatever the cost, she told me that I must be poor, as rich people don't care and most of her clients are rich based on where her office is located. She said she services the poor and devotes time and free services around the world and kept telling me that everybody loves her. Unbelievable. I should have walked out when she insulted me, but I was curious. There was a Catch 22, as I wanted more information to make a decision about committing to more services and to see what she was trying to sell me countered by the fact that she wouldn't tell me more as that meant a consultation. She provided her services although reluctantly. She forgot about me being hooked up to a machine that I believe lasted 3 times longer than it should have. After one day, I am experiencing no benefit from her services in making my back and neck better. This was my first acupuncture experience. I will try it again, but with a very different practitioner.

He not only provided traditional acupuncture and cupping (not fire cupping FYI, it was suction based) for me that I was used to, but also added in some new therapies like electrostimulation, ultrasound, and red light therapy. I injured my leg about nine months ago and went through PT that produced limited walking and pain…read more I read about Dr. Lin and Dr. Huang and decided to give them a try. They exceeded my expectations. I ended up walking normally without pain and walking as much as I wanted and I could have walked even more than I did. Their work did not stop with walking. I casually mentioned to them that I did not have full range of motion in my shoulders because of adhesive capsulitis. Other PT groups, I told them, had said they had done all they could. When I mentioned this to Dr. Huang, with whom I was working at the time, she said she could do more. After sessions with her, she gave me a long pole to lift up and back, something I found impossible for years. This time I lifted my arms straight up and, as I lay on the bed, I held the pole all the way and flat on the bed above my head. I now stand straight, taller, and with more flexibility than ever. I have been fortunate to work with both Dr. Lin and Dr. Huang. They are kind and caring individuals and their office staff is a delight to work with. Dr. Lin's and Dr. Huang's methods are challenging. After my sessions with them that consisted of forty-five minutes of hell, however, I walked out of their office feeling as if I were 17 years old. Before my first session I intended to just give it a try one time to see how it went. I felt unbelievably better and did not stop coming back. Some people are surprised by their therapy session costs. I am surprised and gratified by their therapy session results.
