Just lack of intelligence and experience at this establishment. Gordon Ramsey would be pissed off!

At the heart of it all was the food that came at a reasonable time and the conversations you had with local neighbors and customers who sat near you. The French toast was delicious, not too sweet but the syrup was aplenty. The omelette was seasoned well, packed with flavor. However the potatoes were serviceable at best. I also got a homemade cinnamon bun and ordered a bunch to go. As the menu suggest ask them to butter and griddle the buns. This will change your life. Hospitality at its finest and country breakfast at its finest. This is a gem of the Honesdale/Tyler Hill area. I have a special place in my heart for this place!

I must say, this place called Stans is great. We have been there twice and intend to go many more times. First visit was for breakfast. We had the daily special. Homemade Challah bread French toast. Delicious. I had a short stack of pancakes which were light and yet full of flavor. Our other friend had the Broccoli and cheddar omelet. The Broc was perfect. Not hard and undercooked like some. This was great. The Coffee was fresh and not bitter. Our second visit, we had the Fresh Black Angus charcoal broiled Burgers. WOW!!Cooked exactly like I asked. I'd give it more stars if I could! I stopped here the first time on accident but now, EVERY time I come into town I make sure to stop here for breakfast or lunch. The food is great and the prices crazy reasonable and the portions are big. It is a family run business...and I've come to love the family. The service is great as is the entire staff! The only complaint I have is that there isn't a Stan's cafe in NYC! If you are in the area...and you haven't tried it yet, you won't be disappointed! read more

I am from Long Island and always make Stan's Cafe a "must-do" when traveling through Honesdale. The food is excellent, service superior, and prices unmatched. I highly recommend the breakfast omelets & tuna melt!! They are also family friendly, going above and beyond for kids. My daughter ordered pancakes, and they arrived in the shape of Mickey ears with a whip cream smiley face. She loved it!! I never know what to expect when trying a new restaurant & was pleasantly surprised at Stan Cafe. The restaurant was very clean, service was fast, the wait staff was very friendly and welcoming, the menu had lots of nice options to choose from and the prices were more than fair. I tried the blueberry pancakes and was blown away with how delicious they were. I definitely give this place a two thumbs up and highly recommend it. read more
