My waxing lady is out of town so I decided to try some place new. Found this place and it seems to have a good review. I tried to make an appointment for earlier in the day but was told they were fully book and to come at a much later time. She took down my info and confirmed my appointment. I went early and it was a good thing as this place is definitely not an easy place to find but after a few U-turns I finally figure out the shop. A bigger name on the front would really be helpful. All these are minors but when I walked in the store, it was packed!. The lady acknowledged that I had an appointment and told me that she is wrapping up on a client and to wait for a couple of minutes. The couple of minutes turned into twenty minutes! When she got up from the client, I thought it would be my turned only to find out that she just manage to sell waxing to the client she was working on and rather than giving priority to those who have appointments, she told me to wait additional 2 minutes to finish with the client. Being desperate I decided to agree and 10 minutes later I still hear her selling products in the back and at that point I decided to just leave. Maybe their business is good and don't need new client. As for me I am not going to cheat again and am happy to go back to my regular lady. read more

Came here for my first pedicure, and....... I will be coming back for more. This place is right next to my dentist so it's very convenient. Parking is somewhat limited. The girls here are highly professional and extremely thorough. They use clean and sterile products and their prices are very reasonable!! read more

I really wanted to make this place my go-to nail salon, unfortunately; while they do a nice job I am completely disappointed with the lack of customer service. This review reflects two encounters. On the first occasion, I had to wait 45 minutes for my appointment, I was gracious, I waited and even offered a generous tip. But I also gently warned them that I would not be as kind the next time. On Thursday 2/23/23, I decided to walk in this time because I thought it would be better than waiting again. I walked in but was quickly assured that if I returned in one hour I would be attended to. This was a flat-out lie, I return exactly at noon; there are only two nail techs doing acrylics; both had just begun new sets, I was furious, but remained calm. My technician asked his customer to wait while he attended to me because I had an appointment and she would have to wait. I felt awful that he asked the woman to move out of the seat so that he could take me before finishing her nails; the tech had clearly prepped her nails for the tips already. The woman said she would wait, but I simply could not support a business that has absolutely no regard for their customer's time; besides lacking accountability as a business. I had really high hopes for this nail salon before my appointment. The prices seemed reasonable and it's in a great location. However, it is simply not worth the money. I got a standard gel or shellac manicure and it was all wrong. The manicurist put the gel shellac nail polish all over my skin and insisted that it would last longer. It was all over my nail nail bed and fingertips. She insisted that it would make it last longer but all it really did was burn when I put it under the UV light and chip almost immediately. Also the UV light was in disrepair and kept glitching and shorting out. My manicure has not lasted more than four days. It started chipping on day two. I will not return again and recommend that if you want even a simple, standard gel manicure to look elsewhere. read more

I got a gel manicure, but even though the lady was likely the owner, the final product was brush hairs in my nail polish, uneven and poorly filed nails, and overall sloppily brushed on. The ladies at Lena's are always really nice when I go in and they do a fantastic job on my nails. I usually do a shellac mani, and from time to time a normal pedi. The shop is small inside, but clean looking. I usually never have to wait when I go in the afternoon on the weekdays. I always do a walk-in too. I was referred to lenas by a friend. I'm so grateful to have found them. The prices are fair, the services are never rushed, and the job they do is absolutely flawless. I currently get acrylics with gel and at other places my nails barely lasted 2 week due to my job. I know have beautiful nails for 3-4 weeks without chipping. THE WORST nail shop I have ever been to!! I called to see if they had room for a walk in and they told me to come in right away, shortly after I arrived a lady with an appointment got there and they told her to wait because we got there before her! They were being extremely rude to her and told her to come back!... the lady that did my nails was super in a rush she failed to take my existing acrylic off you can see bumps on my nails from the unevenness, colored the sides and bottom of my finger and cut me various times. Also the sink they ask you to wash your hands in is super dirty I highly doubt they will las an inspection. I will never go back again!! read more

Walked in during the week without an appointment we were taken right away. 2 pesos and as manicure. The salon is simple not fancy so if you're looking for fancy not the place for you. However if you're looking for GREAT pedi give them a try. Splurge and get a few of the extras they're definitely worth it. So I have been coming here for over 6 years they do a decent job. But their customer service sucks!! I've missed 2 appointments in those 6 years and I would call to let them know. The last time I did miss an appointment was over 2 years ago and I wasn't able to get out of work on time. I contacted them today for an appointment in a few days for full set and pedicure, Cao didnt want to book my appointment! Exactly what she said and told me to call the day I want to come in and she would let me know if she they time for me. RUDE! She is RUDE. I was the only customer when I was there. It's not an amazing manicure I got but it was ok...I just wanted a normal manicure because my nails aren't exactly in the best shape currently and I didn't want to do shellac manicure. They kept pushing it but I stood my ground because I'm really not ready for it. As I was getting my nails done, I saw all the dried skin coming out and I thought, oye, my cuticles are dry! The lady that did my nails was sorta rough with them but I thought, eh, for 12 bucks, she's not cutting me, it's fine. It was just a basic manicure so there's not really anything to rave about. I was a little worried tho seeing that the tools didn't took too sanitized. Now, normally when I do get my nails done, I do extensive research but I was driving and I wanted to get it done quick so I picked whatever was in CV. Cut to today, my cuticles are sort of sore. I'm a little apprehensive to take the polish off to see how my nails look. I'm really just hoping it's because she was so rough with them that it hurts. I also found a little cut on one of fingers and saw nail polish was applied over it...Maybe that's why it didn't bleed? I derno...I will update and see what is up with my nails. My normal place didn't have their nail portion opened so I had to go to another one. I would really rather have given my business to my regular place because everyone is super nice there. So this is my second visit here. The first visit went well and I liked my hologram nails. I went in today and showed a picture of the nails I liked. They said they will try but when the girl started to paint it purple I was confused because I wanted a light pink and glitter ombré. The salon owner came to translate and was super rude. She kept giving me attitude and the manicure lady kept sighing and looking annoyed at me. I decided to go with one color and I feel like I got overcharges because I paid less 2 weeks ago when I did the same thing. I don't understand how they treat their customers like that! I will never go here again. Also one of my nails is already chipping on the bottom and their are bubbles showing on my gel mani. this is my favorite place to get my nails done! the women working here are super sweet and always very helpful! i like to call a couple days ahead to make an appointment, since they are always very loyal to the appointment time! every time i'm here, they take their TIME with shaping my nails and getting it perfect! I got a gel full set and pedicure for $57 total which is pretty reasonable compared to other places where it's $75 or more. they accept card here, but definitely bring cash for the tip! i LOVE this place and would recommend to anyone! my set came out looking amazing! read more

Ive been coming for years always felt welcome. They've always been polite and kind to my mom and i but they always do a good job.

Mixed feelings about this place. My first visit I came while I was pregnant because I heard about their 10 minute massage with the deluxe pedicure and my swollen feet were in dire need of that. Leaving there I was 100% satisfied, fast forward 2 months after my pregnancy I went back for the same pedicure and didn't leave as happy. I made a late appointment to be the last one before closing on a Saturday and I guess that was where I made a mistake, at the end of my pedicure (which I got regular polish) they let me sit there for not even 3 minutes and put my slides/sandals on my feet which covered my pinky toe but I trusted they knew it was dry and left it alone. I got home and realized both of my pinky toes were completely wiped off of nail polish, it looked like I asked them to not paint my pinky toes which is ridiculous after spending $40 on a pedicure including tip.. I called and let them know I would be back to fix it but I live in San Leandro and it's ridiculous to drive all the way to Castro Valley to fix my pinky toes, I would just hope and wish they take more time for their clients and make sure their 100% satisfied before leaving my feet now look ridiculous for the price I paid. Also, it comes with a callous remover and they did not apply that to my feet or pay much attention to the bottom of my feet either. They mainly cared to apply the scrub, lotion, massage and paint my nails. Definitely had a better experience the first time around read more

I went here for the first time on a whim based on a quick last minute search for a good pedicure in my neighborhood and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service. I called and got an appointment same day with the owner, Tina. I arrived on time and she was ready for me. I asked her what options I had and chose from the menu she provided and that's when the experience began. For the price, $25, which is pretty standard for a spa pedi, i expected the usual, but i guess i didn't really read the full service, which included 3 layers of massage, from a scrub to a minty mask to a heated oil massage and before that the nail trim and foot scrubbing were super thorough. She really took her time and the massage chair was great. The service took over an hour and it was time well spent. My toes are still looking good a week later. Thanks Tina! read more

Went here for the first time two days ago based on the reviews on Yelp and I am so glad I did! Went here to get a Shellac manicure and Tina was the one that did it. She was very nice and friendly. She did not rush and I felt very comfortable there, unlike many other places I've been to. I also added a brow wax to my 'order', which was not a problem. I was in and out within an hour.
