I went to this nail salon on July 23rd. It was a last minute appointment for me but they had enough openings. I needed a pedicure done so bad and given their yelp review I trusted this place. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed walking out of here. I posted a final photo of the work done on my toes as you can see how messy and and honestly just not good work at all. The person who did my nails was a male Vietnamese guy. Honestly, I was so annoyed by the end of it because he was cleaning the sides of my nails and since he was so busy talking literally cut my skin cause he was using the tool and looking behind him while talking to everyone else. I also had to ask him to clean the sides of my nails just so its not filled with skin that he had already cut up. So when he applied the nail polish I waited to see what else he was going to do because I can see how messy it was. Once it was dry the picture below was the result of this mediocre work. I think they're only good for their manicure which I haven't tried but it appears that's majority of their photos on their yelp.
A Truly Exceptional Nail Salon - Rie & Peter Are a Must! This was my first time coming here, and I'm honestly so impressed that I need everyone to know about this place. The moment I walked in, the whole atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of good vibes. It's rare to find a salon where you instantly feel comfortable, but this one truly feels like a place that cares. I had Rie for my hands and Peter for my pedicure, and both of them exceeded every expectation I had. Rie - Hands/Nails Rie was absolutely amazing. She spent real time talking to me about my nails--my habits, what I struggle with, what I prefer--so she could help me care for my nails long-term, not just for the day. That alone stood out to me. Her technique is incredibly gentle, precise, and detail-oriented. Nothing felt rushed. She paid close attention to shape, length, and symmetry, and made sure I loved each step before moving on. One thing I really appreciated: the tips she put on feel like my real nails. No heaviness, no bulkiness, no thick edges. They feel light, natural, and perfectly blended. I actually kept touching them because I couldn't believe how natural they felt. It's the best and cleanest application I've ever had. Peter - Pedicure Peter was just as impressive. He was: * Extremely thorough with calluses and cuticles * Gentle but effective * Very attentive and made sure I was comfortable the whole time My feet feel soft, refreshed, and genuinely cared for--not rushed through like at most places. The polish application and massage were perfect. Overall Experience The biggest difference here is that they truly take their time. Not one moment felt rushed or overlooked. Everything was done with intention, patience, and care. The overall vibe was: * Easy-going * Relaxing * Warm * Detail-focused I walked out feeling pampered, valued, and honestly amazed at how beautiful and natural everything looked. Would I Recommend Them? Absolutely YES. If you want: * Natural-feeling tips that look and feel like real nails * A nail tech who genuinely cares about the health of your nails (ask for Rie!) * A pedicure that's detailed, gentle, and leaves your feet baby-soft (ask for Peter!) * A salon with amazing energy and zero rushing Then this is the place you need to go. I'm already planning my next appointment.
It was a weekday evening and I needed a last minute pedicure. My friend recommended Anna Nails. I walked in without an appointment and was able to be helped immediately. I think they must only offer one type of pedicure. I just got whatever was the basic kind. It included all the basic manicure things. One thing that was different than I've had at other salons: they did the massage after putting on the nail polish. Not what I'm used to, but I appreciate the efficiency and getting a massage while I waited for my nail polish to dry. I was helped by Peter. He kept the conversation going and did everything quickly and efficiently. The regular (not gel) nail polish has stayed on pretty well even after a couple of weeks including some trips to the beach. Price is pretty on par with other nail salons at ~$30-40 for a pedicure. This is located on the main street in Castro Valley so parking can be tough. You can park in the neighborhood around the corner if you don't find a parking on the street up front.
Really made my day today, been coming there on and off throughout the years. Been getting acrylic style for events and a fun spa day, my nails are brittle and worn so there hasn't been much length. I haven't been fully focused on my nails but recently I've been able to try different things and check out what works best with my shape. So today I went in for a fill and she suggested not using tips and to remove the old set because my natural nails were long enough. Cool with me & she got started, I liked the short med square before but the acrylic layer she put on top or I forget what she called the technique but it feels nice and looks smooth after she filed them! Just soft looking, very pretty! The other gal there suggested some light blue under the glitter so I went with that too, great girls, love chilling in there & having conversations while a movie is on, thanks for having me & see yall next time
I've been going to Rie at Anna Nails for a year, and I couldn't be happier. I get Gel X, usually with some designs! Sometimes I come in with ideas and photos from the web, and sometimes I am open to Rie's creativity. Be assured she can do it ALL. I was a complete newbie, but I always felt welcome in this wonderful small business. Chairs are very comfortable, and other clients are so friendly! You can tell how much this place is loved by the gifts and treats their clientele bring them after a trip! I don't think I will ever go anywhere else!
The quality divide the service in the people that were super nice to me. And they can do lots of designs like they can do cat eye ombre and whatever I would like to do they can do anything they are really really good at their job and they can do feet hands and they can do waxing they do the best service and I recommend it for you to come here because I had a very great time and I think it's better because they're super nice to me again super nice.
I have been coming here for a while now and I can honestly say they are so kind and caring . They truly care about your nail health and take great care of you. My nails always come out great and last awile. I work with my hands a lot so I'm glad I was able to find a place that makes them last and still look good .

This place is just fabulous! I found them when I first moved to the area, and they are more affordable than other local places, which is huge for me as someone who went back to school full-time and has to work a little less. Plus, everyone that has done my nails here has been truly wonderful. They're clean and bright and at a convenient, accessible location. I do have to give an extra shout out to Ri, though. If you haven't seen her yet, you're seriously missing out. She's not just insanely talented--meticulous, precise, and does your nails exactly how you want--she's also one of the kindest, most personable people you could meet. I got Cat Eye nails this time, and even though the photos are almost two weeks old (so they don't look quite as perfect as they did fresh out of her chair), they were absolutely stunning when she finished. Seriously though, they were flawless -- trust me! I told her they were the most beautiful my nails have ever looked. She even did a heart on my ring finger as you can see in the photos. They also have builder gel, so your nails stay strong and gorgeous for weeks. Ri is so fun to chat with, makes the entire appointment relaxing, and she's amazing at waxing too--so you can literally get pampered from head to toe in one visit. Honestly, I leave every appointment feeling so confident and polished. Ri's talent, care, and personality make her a total must-see, and you'll leave absolutely loving your nails. I came in for the first time to this location. Looking at my nails I got I think they could've been a lot better for what I paid. The shaping of the nails are very un even. Some parts of my nail have no product and they just look over all not nice. I will say that the employees are very kind her but I think the person that helped me out to do my hands could've done a way better job... I did get a pedicure that was pleasant and came out nice which is why I am not leaving a one star review. I am to the point where I'll probably have to get them redone because they are not nice. read more

Friendliest is always present here and they remember faces which is great rapport! Walked in appointment because my nails were too frail to keep the length. The warm welcomes makes it hard not to come back and the prices do not change drastically. read more

I've been going to Anna Nails since I moved to Castro Valley several years ago. Everyone there does an incredible job, but Ree is next level amazing! I've been getting Gelx nails with her rather than acrylic for a while now, and I couldn't be happier with the change. They last longer, the shape is better and my real nails are healthier too! Anna Nails has been my go too shop for years. I never have a bad experience with any tech. Each tech takes the time to listen to what you want, take pics to make sure they are giving you what you ask for and ALWAYS make sure you leave HAPPY!!!! Anna is the owner and OG of the shop, she's the best and runs a clean and professional business. I recently had my set done by Ri for the holidays. Let me tell you if you're looking for Gel X, acrylics or anything in between she IS that tech. Not only did she fit me into her busy schedule but asked to send her what design I wanted ahead of time and spent time doing my set. I never felt rushed even though it was late and she had a busy schedule. The talents are endless when it comes to Anna, Ri and the crew at Anna nails. I've been to Anna Nails twice now for gelx sets and Ri is the best! My sets last for over a month with minimal chipping. This recent set Ri tried out was the magnetic velvet look but with chrome on top. The pictures don't do it justice but my nails look awesome and color shift in different lighting. Definitely go to Ri for fun nail colors and gelx! read more
RI RI RI - she's that girl. Her attention and care to having a great manicure is unmatched. She takes her time to offer suggestions and explains her process. She makes sure you're cared for. Recently went in not knowing what directions I wanted for nail art and she gave me options. With loose directions, I saw her creativity flow. She hand-painted dainty flowers and pop little diamonds in. I felt spoiled! Visit multiple times and all the ladies there are so friendly and sweet. So happy I found this gem! read more

Today was my lucky day. I'm "stranded" in Castro Valley while my car is being worked on. So I researched nail salons and this one came up with the highest ratings in the neighborhood. I was seen by the owner, Ri. She did an amazing job on my nails. The salon was clean, modern and comfortable. And the staff is very friendly and outgoing. Ugh it sucks when you aren't hella happy with your nails. I went in and asked for ombré and showed her a picture. She used a sponge technique which I've seen done before, but these were terrible and I asked her just to paint them all brown cats eye. There was no cuticle work. The application is really really thick and I did pay $60 and I did tip and I won't be back. I had high hopes. read more

Went to Anna's nails for a new set as mine were easily breaking. They recommended the GelX. I absolutely love how natural and light they are. The color is beautiful. One thing about these upstanding women they enjoy their jobs. With that being said genuine is an understatement, Mary which is who does my pedicure is very gentle & detailed. Anna who is the owner is also very kind while serving you she also has great phone etiquette which I believe is important for business owners in 2025. Although i mentioned two reference names anybody you get in this shop is quite pleasant actually these women work really hard to make sure the ladies as well as men are pleased. read more
