I called to make two appointments, one for myself and my mom. They picked up almost instantly and booked us. Unfortunately my mom changed her mind, so I called back to update them. I asked to just remove the polish because the day of I had really bad flare ups, so I didn't want any chances of getting it more inflamed or infected. Be was really nice about it. It was also busy that day, but she made sure that I was comfortable and checked up on me periodically. Got the gel polish removed! Even better she said that they could make sure not to cut the cuticles and help change the color. Got sheer pink! First time visiting this nail salon on 10/12/24. I booked my appointment on Wednesday for Saturday morning 9:30am for a gel pedicure. When I arrived the place was already busy. Waited just a few minutes I was greeted and welcomed. Felt so friendly and welcoming here not one bit did I feel that I didn't belong. That was already a plus for me. The vibe of this salon is amazing. The salon lives up to its name, aesthetics are on point. I love the marble floors the plants the color scheme of the entire place. It's definitely a vibe. Super clean inside. They have a snack/drink stand inside the salon. Overall this place gets a 5 out of 5 from me. I liked everything about it. Cleanliness, welcoming, hospitality, and the service. I really loved how my toes came out squared shaped with white gel I got an overlay for an extra of $5 due to my big toe nail being semi broken. Overall I paid $70 for entire gel deluxe pedicure some may say it's a lot for a pedicure but you definitely get your moneys worth. The lady attending me never rushed and never pressured me to get any other services once I said no the first time. Definitely will be making this my main nail salon. Immediately upon arriving I was greeted by multiple staff members and checked in speedily, and not long after was brought to get my basic manicure. Apparently the owner was my nail technician that I later found out during a group game activity when it was announced. Anyhow, my technician was gentle and advised me on what would be fitting for my very delicate and brittle nails. I came away with a red polish and gold glitter, perfect for the upcoming 49ers Super Bowl, Lunar New Year, and Valentine's day. Unfortunately as soon as I got into the car somehow the corner of my thumb chipped, and I am feeling quite bummed right now. My only negative critique is that my nail technician never once announced that she was moving on to the next customer and never came back to check up on me. First time trying this salon that's next to my facial place (which is amazing! Must go check it out Be Beauty Center with Joey!). I heard they are expensive, and it is a little above the average I pay for both gel mani & pedi. They charge $80 for both, and I normally pay $70. My 4 stars is for mainly the fast service, cleanliness, and friendly staff. I had no wait time. I was greeted right away, seated, and 2 ladies came to help me for gel mani & pedi. They have the tools inside a sealed plastic bag, and the salon looks clean and bright, with good selection of nail colors. I just wish they had them all in one book, but instead they had several books, with some different colors in each, so I had to carry 2 books to my seat and show the color I wanted for mani and the other book with the color I wanted for pedi. That was a bit of a hassle for what I'm used to. The service was ok. They were friendly, but as like in other salons, they have limited English, so you only hear them talking to each other in their language and laugh. You will never know if they are talking about you or not. I hope not! Haha. Now in terms of the quality of their nail painting, I think the pedicure lady was much better! The manicure was a bit off. I have a pet peeve about leaving gel on the skin or cuticles. Also, this is the first time that I had someone file my nails AFTER the gel manicure was set and done. This must be a new technique, so let's see if the color will last longer. I'll probably give it another try because of the convenience of having a parking lot and it's in the plaza that I get most of the other errands done, such as getting my facial, returning my Amazon items to UPS, banking, and even getting a snack and boba. **Update** As I suspected, 2 hours later, the gel lifted and chipped off. What a waste of $35 manicure. Took off 2 stars, leaving at 2 stars total. If it lasted a day, I'd stayed at 3 stars. Oh well. read more

So I recently moved to Castro Valley and I didn't want to keep going back-and-forth to Fremont to my Nail tech there, who was becoming increasingly unreliable. So I went on Yelp and I found out about this nail salon. I called. I didn't get an answer, but as soon as I hung up, my phone rang and they were calling me back. I was very pleased with the response time, that was great. I wanted to get in right away and they were able to accommodate me. I got to the salon in about five minutes and was able to find parking easily. The salon is very clean and well lit. There are a lot of nail techs working . There were a lot of customers, which is a very good sign of a good salon. My Nail Tech was Tram and she did a great job. I was very pleased. She did not rush. She did it all by the book and she didn't cut up my fingers with the file like my last Nail Tech used to do. I was very happy with Tram and the salon. Terrible experience/service. I was lied to about multiple portions of my appointment starting with the builder gel. I asked for builder gel with an extension but had nail tips added which isn't the correct process. The tech that I had drilled my nails so thin to where I kept getting burned. Not to mention I had to put my hand under the UV light over 15+ times (not even over exaggerating) with a timer of 1 minute per light session which is SO dangerous for nails/skin and can cause cancer. All for the end result to be sloppy. Not to mention these took over 1.5 hours to complete just for one nail to break off the next day. Would not recommend this salon. I knew of this place because I had previously been invited to check it out as a Yelp! Elite. I came in, without an appointment, and was seated right away. The owner greeted me warmly right away. They offered me a complimentary drink and turned on the massage chair right away. I got a gel pedicure/manicure and they did such a good job on making sure my cuticles on my hands weren't over cut and that my nails were all even. Their basic pedicure even had a salt scrub which felt amazing and my legs were so smooth afterwards. More than anything, I loved the price. This was my second time ever getting my nails done. My friend recommended this place to me, as I needed to get my nails do e for my friend's wedding. I decided to go with a simple white french tip for both hands. Since I'm fairly new to manicures, I'm not really sure how to judge them but I thought mine was fairly well done. I let the tech choose the nail shape since I had no preference. My only critique would be that on some nails, it doesn't look like the white followed the curve all the way (not sure if it's because my nail shape?). It stops short and doesn't look as polished when looking closely. I didn't catch the name of the tech who helped me but she was super nice and made my experience comfortable. I've been here a couple times now and love this spot! Now my go-to nail salon in the area. The owner is very friendly and cares about her customers. She does her best to greet every customer and understand their needs/wants. I saw her while she was doing my nails trying her best to get her customers served. Be is the owner and she created a beautiful salon in Castro Valley. I loved the decor and ambiance inside. I got a pedicure done amazingly here by her sister - the gel polish has lasted me at least two months now without any chips. The manicure I got from Be is great, she's skilled at design and very patient. I also got a gel manicure done by Tina who also takes her time and is very gentle with cuticles. Both times I showed pictures and they were able to come close to it. I would suggest Be if you want something very detailed/close to the picture. They also serve drinks and snacks. I got coffee and green tea during each visit. Such great ambiance and quality work. I can tell they truly care about their customers and will do their best to make you happy. I called to see if they could do a walk in. She said yes and when I arrived the wait for very short. The place is very clean and well kept. They have a lot of options for colors and services. For the deluxe pedicure they have these cute bags with clean new supplies in a bunch of scents. The chairs are new and work well. The controls are right on the arm and where they sit so it can be controlled by them too. Dee did my pedicure and she was very friendly and did a great job, the massages with the scrub and lotion were wonderful and relaxing. I will definitely be back here! Another thing that happened while I was there.A homeless lady came in and the owner treated her respectfully even though she peed her pants in the doorway. I went in without an appointment. I asked for the manicurist that serviced me during the Yelp event. She happened to not be there today. No biggie for me, I just wanted a manicure.
