I put up with it for maybe five times after that I just decided the last time was it I no longer wanted to pay anyone even though he did good nails the vibe was off and I just wasn't happy with his whole attitude. This comes from a cosmetologist point of view: ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask ANY beauty related establishments to use clean implements for your services. You are allowed to ask them to open the sterilization pouch in front of you prior to your service. They should happily do this. It's basic protocol for an establishment. Now, if they have an issue with this or make a remark or get POd about it, you know there is an issue and you are allowed to contact the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology +1 (800) 952-5210. Any establishment will immediately get a visit from the board. You are paying for the service as well as your well-being. Always make sure their license is openly displayed at each workstation with valid dates on it. With that said, I had a good experience at this salon. I was not feeling well but needed to get my nails done for a school project. I like my mails but did notice some violations that were concerning. I will be coming in again for a fill and will be more vigilant that proper protocol is being followed. I am NEVER one to confront an employee about something they're doing wrong (that's not a good thing, I am very shy) but from now on I will make sure to voice my concerns at any cosmetic establishment I come in. I was treated nicely during my service. The nail tech was having back problems so she wasn't very talkative which I didn't mind, sometimes you just want to get your service in peace, kinda like therapy for me. She was willing to speak to me whenever I had questions which I appreciated. I had my nails done every two weeks by the owner Tom. It was my sixth time to have my nails filled. I noticed fungus under two of my nails. Tom acted like it was not a big deal and was getting ready to fill them right over the fungus! I asked him how could this have happened since I had acrylic nails for many years without a problem. His sarcastic response was " I guess I'm not good at my job". I could not believe how rude he was. I told him to take the nails off immediately and that you should never put anything over fungus. He soaked them in acetoin for only a very short time and then started prying them off. When I told him it hurt and he needed to soak them more he called me a big baby. What an ass! Also, I never saw him throw out the acetoin when he was done with me, he just put it to the side. This is very unsanitary. -- read more

Not only was the nail lady eating sunflower seeds, she didn't watch her hands before she started my manicure. She shaped my already short nails shorter and wasn't at all consistent with the shape, some of my nails are round and some square (WTF) then she cuts my cubicle until it bleeds and acts like it didn't happen and then used super glue to seal it. Have been going here off and on for a couple of years and have never had a negative experience. I live in the neighborhood so it is very convenient. I don't get anything fancy done (no acrylics), just regular mani/pedi and only ever call to make an appointment in advance. While some potential customers may get frustrated that they can't get in when they want and are told "no" or "come back later", I appreciate that they don't try to take on more than they can handle at any given time. I have only interacted with the owner minimally over the last two years (he only did my nails once), but I am impressed that he always remembers me and is more personal (I know this due to specific comments and questions). read more

After I left my toe nail color had chipped so I went back to have it fixed and she only painted over it rather than re-doing it. I went here with my bff right before Christmas and it was only because we went to 2 others and they were completely booked for the next 2-3 hrs and we were not willing to wait. This was going to be the last place we stop by before giving up and surprisingly they took us in right away. I wanted a full set, white tip. A guy did my nails (and I forgot to ask for his name) but they came out REALLY well because it's been a week and they still look perfect. Usually my nails tend to lift within 5-7days and then I'd have to get a fill right at 2 weeks but this guy told me that if people do nails right, it should last a month so I'm starting to believe him! The only downside to this nail place is that they don't carry OPI nail polish or any nail polish that I'd want to use for that matter cause all their polishes seem old and kinda nasty (which is why I opted for the full set). Oh, and they could probably work on their cleanliness a little bit more. My bff had a mani pedi and she really liked how they paid attention to detail and it came out looking great! Really lovely pedicure the poor lady was leaving for home but the boss asked if she would stay and she did that was so nice of her - she took an hour with the massage, soak and also a separate softening Creme - she could have rushed but she didn't .
