They drive the nicest cars of any police force I have witnessed. 2. They ARE way OVERSTAFFED. I typically see at least 1 police car for every 10-15 drivers. It reminds me of my time living in the occupied territories of Palestine; where Israeli police literally beat, arrested & persecuted anyone who appeared 'suspicious'. 3. They have forgotten the mission to 'Protect & Serve'; replacing their mission with 'Rob & Search Out Money' at all costs. 4. The times that I have needed assistance or asked for help, they have been abrupt, rude, disrespectful & dismissive. However, when there is an accident or the opportunity to drive fast, play their big loud sirens, they will knock pedestrians off the sidewalk, endanger citizen's lives & waste hours doing nothing. Every accident that I have witnessed or driven by, there have been no less than 7 police cars. Really? Not a great use of hard earned taxpayer dollars. 5. Every officer that I have encountered is overweight, out of shape, arrogant, rude, disrespectful, pompous & uncommunicative. They have all been ignorant of laws (including citizen's civil rights, due process, Miranda rights, procedural guidelines, etc.) 6. The few times I have dealt with these so-called 'Selfless Public Servants', it has evoked fears of a growing police state. What a tragedy! I suppose they have either beaten their citizens into submission, surgically extracted their brains (and capacity to think) or run every thinking person out of town. Not a great long term strategy for success guys.

First time visiting Kansas City, Missouri ... what a wonderful city!…read more During pandemic, we weren't able to get in to a lot of places, but still, we got a little bit of vibe from the city. Definitely, it's the place of lots of great restaurants, especially delicious BBQ food! We can't wait to come back to try many of them! The city is definitely an "upcoming " "young professionals " city. We heard those terms from lot of people during our conversations. While we were driving around the city, we drove through very beautiful neighborhoods! One of them was especially outstanding to me. The houses looked amazingly beautiful, something like that they were from a fairytale! The little cottages were super nice! (Unfortunately, I couldn't take pictures of them!) I also noticed that the city has lots of water fountains, all of them in a nice park setting. Lots of beautiful parks all over, with huge grown trees! Kansas City, Missouri definitely, a great place to visit! We will definitely be back to see more!

I will admit things have changed quite a bit in Kansas City since the 1990's. They renovated big portions of downtown and also I like the street car system that they have too. They do have quite a few things to see and do in this city. If you like gambling they have several casinos by the Missouri river. If you want to watch a football game you can go see the Chiefs play. If you like Baseball you can go see the KC Royals play. They also have a farmers market in downtown Kansas City. Also the older part of town caters more to a fancy pants crowd. The best thing about Kansas City and what they are best known for is their BBQ. Some of the best beef brisket I ever had was here in Kansas. The BBQ chicken is also good. The pulled pork and ribs you get in the Kansas City metro area isn't that great though. In short this city has great BBQ, casinos and sports teams. However if you are looking for entertainment value I would recommend New Orleans or Washington DC instead.

I do appreciate that the staff was diverse, but it seemed the staff wanted to be anywhere but where they were working. Facility: 8/10 This is a nice community center nestled near 119th street. I can tell a lot of the members live nearby and visit often. There were majority 65+ that were in the workout area or playing badminton in the gym. We came right at 11, so the crowd was more seasoned, which we enjoyed. As it got later in there day, more kids came to play basketball on the half court. Price: 10/10 For a day pass, the price is $5 which you cannot beat! Memberships are reasonable as well. Half-Courts: 2/10 We were there to play basketball with our friends. The courts are half-court, which is a bummer. Apparently, there was an issue with unruly kids a month ago, but not sure. We still had fun and nobody bothered us. Overall: 5/10 TRCC is just okay. Olathe Community Center is a lot nicer with more full courts and excellent customer service. I don't think I would visit again but I am happy that the folks living nearby have a facility to go to, especially the 65+ crowd.
