The people who work in the LensCrafters portion are absolutely amazing! Jennifer was so sweet, kind, and personable. She walked me through all the tests prior to my actual exam with the optometrist. I made an appointment online for the eye exam same day. I was happy to get one on December 31st, before my yearly insurance benefits expired that night. After I was done, Jennifer had already looked up my insurance benefits and helped select some frames that would be covered by my insurance. I was completely indecisive and went back and forth on many pairs. Jennifer, Rosario, and Anni were so sweet and really tried to help me find the pair I would look best in! (I was incredibly indecisive!) The other two women working were very sweet and helpful as well, I actually ended up getting one of the frames, one of them had suggested was similar to a certain style number I mentioned. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and seem to want to help you make the best choice! I was so impressed with them suggesting style names of frames. The eye exam itself went great, and most of the staff were perfectly fine. One staff member (Light skin chubby girl) who I'm assuming is new since I've never seen her there before--was extremely determined to sell me frames I very clearly did not want. I understand it's part of the job, but there's a difference between offering and pushing, especially after being told "no" multiple times. Even better, she managed to suggest that I buy my contacts online accidentally instead of through the office... which pretty much sealed the deal. If I didn't need frames before, I definitely didn't need them after that. Overall, great exam, but a little less sales pressure (and a little more chill) would go a long way. We got anew prescription glasses a week ago My wife wasn't 100% satisfied with the results and the look of the glasses So we came back to see if they could help us do the changes she needed Richard helped us as soon as we enter the store We did explain the situation and for our surprise he is the man working on the lab It took him no more than 30 minutes to fix the problem, so big shout out to Richard !! I usually don't leave negative reviews -- if I don't like a place, I just don't go back. But this experience needs to be shared. I scheduled an eye exam for myself online on 06/27/25 for an appointment on 06/28/25. Later that same day, I called to add my son and provide our insurance information. The person I spoke with was very pushy about the $39 retinal imaging fee. I have no problem paying for necessary services, but I didn't appreciate the pressure. Something didn't feel right, so I looked up the eye care provider I had used in the past. I thought they had closed, but it turns out they had just moved. I canceled the appointment with Blink Eye and scheduled a new one at LensCrafters in Westminster instead. When I arrived at the new appointment, I was shocked to find out that Blink Eye had already billed my insurance for exams for both me and my son -- on 06/27/25. We had to contact the insurance company to correct it. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns. read more

Lien helped my mother with prescription glasses. Lien was quite professional and applied her expertise to solve the problem. My mother's glasses needed an adjustment and replacement part. Lien delivered in fixing my mom's glasses. And, Lien did all this with a welcoming smile that put my mom at ease. read more

Honesty and transparency are the minimum I expect from a healthcare provider, and unfortunately, this office failed on both. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who wants clear, upfront communication about insurance and billing. read more

Was told when I purchased insurance for my new glasses that the insurance covers everything damaged to lost ! Now I need a replacement for my lost glasses and now they said there's no such thing as insurance covering lost items. O my reason I purchased the extra $120 insurance. Don't get why you tell your customers the insurance covers everything then when it times to replace lost ones unfortunately you get to you have to repay for everything. BS don't buy insurance ever cuz when it's time to use it they want to give you the minimum out of it smh read more

We came here to get my fiancé's eyes checked and the lady at the front, Lien was very rude from the start. Luckily, the eye doctor we saw was very kind and informative. She answered all our questions. After, we had to go back to Lien where she asked if we wanted to get glasses and seemed annoyed when we asked how much our insurance covers. We then decided we didn't want any glasses at the moment and she gave us attitude. I would recommend the eye doctors but be careful with the front staff if you come here. read more

This place of crooks. My Insurance said I was covered up to a certain amount and the lenses would be covered with no out of pocket, but these people kept giving me stories I need to pay. 3 different people giving me different pricing on the same lenses I needed. I was given a price written down on a card. When I came back and talked to another handed the card of the price I was given, this person grabbed it said oh no, crumpled it and tossed into the trash. Then gave me a higher cost. I will never go to this place again. read more

Very rude costumer service. Almost worse I've experienced. They also gossip about costumers. The ladies act nice only at the end when they are trying to sell you glasses/contacts. My prescription paper was given to me crumbled as well after not purchasing any glasses/contacts. Never returning here again. read more

Hello, we are pretty much stuck with a pair of glasses that are not right for my daughter. The prescription was not done properly and we were pretty much stuck with it. I wasn't going to write a review but the more I think about it the more angers me that I spent $700 here for nothing now I have to find another doctor to redo a prescription and hopefully she can keep her Glasses. I'm very disappointed about the way they do business that is not the way that I am used to doing business or getting treated at a business. read more

If you're a fellow glasses wearer, you know the struggle of trying on different frames to find the perfect one that you like. It may even take a bit of time to pick a pair you like. Unfortunately, I had to cut my time short because I didn't feel comfortable being here this time. I have been to this LensCrafters a few times before for an eye exam and ordered my glasses here, which were all good experiences, so I'm quite surprised it was the complete opposite experience this time. I came here with a family member and wanted to try on frames in person since I was considering ordering online (there's more frames and color options online). I had no intention of placing an order in-person. Prior to entering, there's a security guard outside asking if you have an appointment. I said no, I was only trying on frames, and we were allowed to go in. When I came in, one of the female staff greeted me and asked if I had an appointment. I didn't, and told her I just wanted to try on frames because I was considering ordering them through the LensCrafters website. She then asked me if I had a prescription, and I said yes, but I didn't have the physical copy with me, and it was on my phone. She said I couldn't place an order if I didn't have a prescription, and stood there waiting for me to pull up the prescription on my phone. That seemed unnecessary because I felt like I had to prove that I had a prescription in order to try on frames. I was then given a tray to place frames I tried on for COVID sanitary purposes. After trying on a few frames, a different female, older staff member approached us, and asked me if I had a prescription. I told her the same statement of not having a physical prescription on me, but that I was just trying on frames. She told me I couldn't order frames without a physical prescription, then asked if I wanted to make an appointment for an exam. I didn't need an exam- I already had a prescription. A few minutes later, that same older female staff member stepped outside to tell a lady waiting that she couldn't let her in because they're waiting on "that couple" to finish, while indicating to my family member and me. There were at least 5 other guests inside the store, all of whom were there before us, but instead of saying "We're at maximum capacity," the staff member singled us out to be the ones to leave first. The experience overall felt unwelcoming. The staff were pressed on me needing to have and show them my prescription. I had already explained told them that I just wanted to try on frames. read more

Have been going to the Santa Monica LensCrafters for over 20 years, but had an emergency situation in Anaheim and needed to replace a contact lens at the nearest LensCrafters. Came here and although Rosario and Dr. Wong were wonderful and helpful (I would give them 5 stars!), the manager working that morning (unfortunately didn't get her name) was super rude to not only me, but her staff. The way she spoke to Rosario was awful. She talked down to me and made everyone extremely uncomfortable, it was just a bad experience. Rosario was empathetic and Dr. Wong was great. I was able to leave with a replacement pair of contacts, so it ended up being a successful trip to LensCrafters, but that manager was terrible. Seemed super unhappy and sad. read more

Ok so we got a lot of names in this review only because when you come here these names will be sure to take good care of you! SHANNON was super helpful with the fit of the glasses and making sure they fit great there was one issue with one of my lenses that was fixed within 24 they had to remake the lenses! And the lab manager PETER was amazing he did an amazing job the lenses fit perfect not hanging over in the front at all! JENNIFER helped me pick frames there was so many frames to choose from but I wanted ones and they had 3 employees looking the for ones I wanted and one of the ladies names was FELICIA and she was amazing had a tablet in hand ready looking up the model number trying to track them down and last but not least DANICA she helped with insurance and lenses! These guys know there stuff and I have yet to have a bad experience here! read more

The lady was so rude. I ordered Tiffany's online and a pearl was missing. I received the package today and went to the store for help. The lady turned me away instantly saying "even if I wanted to help you I couldn't". Then said "good luck" as I'm walking out visibly upset. I spent a lot of money. She told me to do it online and print a label so she could ship it for free. For manufacturing error I will not pay return shipping. I go to my account and it saids to go to a store! I tried calling customer service but they're on EST so they were closed for the day. I don't know if that will get me anywhere. I wanted a repair but after this terrible customer service I want a full refund. I'll never use this crap company again. read more

I came for my annual eye exam on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Jennifer was most helpful and informative in preparing me for my exam with Dr. Lin. After the exam she helped me select prescription sunglasses and use insurance to pay for them. The glasses were ready later that same day! When Jennifer help me, I met Shannon, who first introduced me to LensCrafters three years ago and helped me use our insurance in the best way. When my wife Julie and I picked up our glasses on Friday, Rosario did a great job in helping us adjust the new glasses to fit us just right! Thanks Dr. Lin and ladies for a great job! They took the time to explain my coverage and any documents I needed to complete. Danica, was amazing. She went above and beyond. She even took the time to calculate which plan ( my husband or my coverage) would be the most cost efficient for me and she was very patient and friendly throughout our whole interaction as well as the rest of the staff.
