My mom needed an eye exam so she could replace her broken glasses, and every place I checked had appointments booked out for months. I finally came across this LensCrafters location and was surprised to see they had multiple same‑day appointments available. We showed up and the service was immediate. The staff were friendly, patient, and made the whole process smooth. The doctor was excellent, very attentive, explained everything clearly, and my mom genuinely felt heard and cared for. I paid out of pocket for the eye exam, which was $69, and I thought that was very reasonable for the quality of service. We didn't end up buying frames here because my mom had already fallen in love with a pair she saw somewhere else, but LensCrafters did have a good selection to choose from. Overall, fast service, great staff, and a really positive experience. Would definitely come back if we need another exam in the future. read more

Dr. Redwood is the BEST!! Such a sweet guy and so informative. He's like a younger real life optometrist version of the doctor from This is Us. Never had such a pleasant eye exam :) Needed an eye exam and they had plenty of openings the day of so I called and came in an hour later, everything was quick and easy. Aside from that, it's a standard LensCrafters. Never had any problems with a long wait or anything, everyone's pretty friendly and helpful. read more

Hmmm...I've waited awhile since my check in to write this review because I didn't want to be hasty, but the quality of care and customer service at this establishment leave a lot to be desired. First, upon approaching the front desk one must hope they meet with the few members of support staff that want to help customers, otherwise you are S.O.L. As far as seeing the doctors, it's alright. You're not going to get exceptional care, but it will get the job done if you are in a pinch. I've needed glasses/contacts for over 15 years. Since 2007 the eye doctors I went to have all taken an interest in the mole on the back of my left eye (and since I've moved around a lot since 2005 that's 3 separate eye doctors). Neither of the eye doctors at LensCrafters said anything about it, and when I inquired they were flippant at best. To add insult to injury, the contacts I got are awful. I will be returning them soon, and going somewhere else. Lesson learned. read more

For a chain, this is as good as it gets! The service is speedy and friendly, and they remember you from visit to visit. That might also be in part because my puppy keeps eating my glasses, so be sure to get the eyewear protection plan! It's paid off handsomely for me. Time and again. $50 allows you to get a new pair, or as many new pairs as you want, within a year for $25 copay each time. For any reason, as long as you can produce the glasses--in any shape or state of disrepair! I'd recommend highly. Also a good selection of designer frames that changes constantly. read more

Terrible service experience. Waited for more than 10 minutes standing beside my disabled mother without the staff, one of whom was busy with a customer and the other busy typing on her computer, ignored us. The gentleman in front of us left without being acknowledged, and then we did as well. Meanwhile, two women at the counter for "doctors of optometry"at the back of the store glanced up several times but did nothing to offer service. The poor service caused us to leave and go find another place to shop for my mother's glasses. read more

I was shocked at the terrible selection and service today. I was greeted by the friendly store manager and escorted to the optometrist office to update my Rx. Once I had my new prescription, I began shopping for frames. Several employees were on the floor, sorting glasses and chatting with co-workers, but none offered me assistance after standing and looking their way for several minutes. I finally approached an employee and asked about options for replacing my 2 pair of glasses. I was given curt responses and made to feel like I had interrupted her from something. I thanked the employee, left the store and immediately drove to a competitor's store, where I made a $700 purchase. read more

Wish I didn't have to push a star at all. I had an appointment today, went in to a group of girls just chatting around the computer. Went to start my eye exam and they told me that my insurance was not covered and it would be $60 so I left and called my insurance company who in turn talked to someone at the office. Turns out that they're one of the preferred retailers, they were fairly new to the insurance, and I was fully covered, (they never even called my insurance provider, so unprofessional) so I go back in and they still tried to charge me $60 and were oh so rude. I now have an appointment for Thursday at SVS, where I will be making a large purchase. Don't waste your time they're disgusting here. read more

Before you use this store, be aware of your insurance and how the store employees answer the question. When asked if they accept BCBS-VSP, they of course said yes, leaving out that they are an 'out of network' person for the VSP/BCBS coverage. Imagine my surprise when we received the insurance statement, stating that they $900 that we had spent in glasses was out of network, and we would receive about $90 in benefits. Had they been honest in answering the question, we would have utilized someone within network, and saved about $500. When I questioned an associate there, after the fact unfortunately, they very honestly answered, but without apology or remorse. I can emphatically say that we will not be back. read more

The office staff that provides the exams are wonderful but the front desk staff is beyond rude. This is not based on one interaction but many, enough to know I won't be returning for my next exam no matter how wonderful the staff in the exam rooms are. It's the rude obnoxious front desk staff that you have to deal the most with. I never received a call to tell me my orders had arrive so when I inquired about it instead of accepting an over site on their behalf they instead proceeded to rudely argue about how I did receive a phone call. Then once I go to pick up the order they behave as if I'm inconveniencing them, even though I'm the only patient in the waiting room. Due all solely to the front desk staff I will never again go to this particular Lens Crafter for any of my optical needs. read more

Never go here. Absolutely terrible. I went to get sports glasses and they got my prescription wrong. After I returned them I went back to get them with the right prescription but nothing was changed. They simply gave me the exact same glasses, unchanged. Terrible service the employee insisted it was my fault blaming me for the error. So I went into LensCrafters at Briarwood Mall. I really wanted to get some glasses from there because I heard good things. However, when I walked in I was not greeted by either of the associates working on the floor. Although one was helping a customer at her computer station the other was just showing frames to another customer and looked at me as i walked in and walked around the store. He never stepped away to see if I needed help. I was very disappointed. So I ended up going to Eyeglass World around the corner on Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. Hopefully their customer service is better read more
