Brought in my late grandfather's fairly new Ray-Ban Clubmasters for a simple nose pad replacement. They had brand-new prescription lenses and were in perfect condition. When returned, they were broken, badly bent, had a small chunk missing from one lens, and were handed to me in a bag. Let me start with - the staff was friendly, every time I was in. But, I can't really dismiss the otherwise subpar customer service. Long story short, I got a new prescription here, shopped for two pairs of glasses for two different prescriptions (easy ones). One pair is done quickly, and the other takes well over a month and had been restarted 8 times or something insane, and I end up picking an entirely different pair of frames just so it can be done in house. I need these glasses to drive at night and I literally had been asking for rides to and from work for weeks, waiting on this one pair. So I'm not upset that it took so long (well over a month) because the pandemic certainly taught us all to be patient with custom orders. But I AM pretty bothered by this LensCrafters serious lack of communication. Not once, was I ever contacted by them, as promised. Not when my first pair was ready for pick up. Not when they looked into the second pair and saw the reason for delay. Not when it was obvious that the second pair was becoming problematic in manufacture. Not when I called with questions and they were supposed to call me back after checking on something. I would not recommend this place ever to get glasses... I've had to return my lenses twice and every time they come back, it's still not right. I still can't see out of both lenses properly... Do not waste your money on this place go to a real eye doctor and get glasses from a professional not from a chain store. I had one of the worst customer services experiences I've EVER had at this LC. They broke my lenses putting them into frames and didn't ask me if i wanted the insurance until after i came back for my new lenses. The next time store manager Micah installed the lenses improperly and i had to come back. The manager. After several trips, i think 5 total, and wasted time and gas all they could do for me was discount a pair of sunglasses. MIKE IS AMAZING! Not sure why this location doesn't have more stars. I have been in there a couple of times to get glasses and frames adjusted. I bought a pair and they needed adjusting to fit just like the last pair I had bought from them. I had them adjust them and I thought they were good, but later on, I realized I needed them adjusted again. I was at Costco and had them adjust them there. Well, they weren't even wearable after. So I went back to the Tanasbourne location where I'd originally bought them. I had spoken with MIKE and went down there specifically when he was working. He sat down with me and within 5 minutes, BAM! Just like that, they fit perfectly. He was very patient while I checked to make sure they felt right on me. The associates from this Lens Crafters store do not seem to want to serve its customers. Every time I enter the store trying to browse the eyeglass frames, they seem confrontational. Either they are asking for vision insurance or a prescription instead of trying to see what I need as a customer. If they have a policy only serving customers with prescriptions with them , that is fine, just post it at the door. I had a really good experience at LensCrafters tennis bar. I am not sure why they have so few stars either! I walked in without an appointment and they were ready to roll. The staff was super friendly and the technology was way better than the place I usually go. They had a great selection of frames and I didn't need to make an appointment to try them on. All very polite staff until the last phone call by a "manager" who was the most rude person I'd ever heard. He should not be in contact with the public at all. Or perhaps he could take a course in dealing directly with customers. In any case, his comments were nonsensical and merely an attempt to deflect fault onto everyone else. If he thought about the entire scenario, he'd have been figuring out what his LC staff did wrong. I feel sorry for the guy who has to deflect blame. It's not an easy job and causes internal angst. That said, "if the heat in the kitchen is too hot. . ." Unfortunately, this place is to be avoided. In spite their knowledgeable, friendly, clean appearances, they are all far too young and inexperienced to be working at a business that can ruin a person's eyes. I feel sorry for people who think they are knowledgeable professionals when they should have gotten a proper education in this field prior to working in public. Work up to it instead of just taking a 1 week course and figuring you're good to go. They don't know enough to ask specific questions, but instead charge ahead and produce lenses that are not at all what was asked for. Then they reap what they've sown. read more

Fraudulently charged my out of network benefits and after fighting with them got a handwritten check mailed to reimburse me. Also was fitted for monthly and daily contacts but they didn't finalize the daily prescription I needed the most now I'm fighting with their office again to get this fixed. read more

First time, i arrived on time but i have to wait for one hour for my appointment. The second time they said they didn't have my appointment on their calendar so they have to reschedule it. I lost my specs in Vegas and I've been stumbling around semi-blind ever since. My employer provides vision coverage (that I've never used) and Lenscrafters is one of the providers. I was walking around during my lunch break the other day and saw this place. I decided to go inside and see if I could perhaps get hooked up with some new glasses. I went in and wandered around for about 15 minutes. I looked at the frames. I tried on a few. Nobody greeted me or asked if I wanted any assistance. There was a girl standing at a reception desk but she seemed quite intent on avoiding eye contact. I decided that if the service is non-existent when you walk in the door, it will probably be terrible all the way around. I walked back out with my wallet full of money. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST OPTICAL SHOP IN TOWN. Their customer service is terrible in the sense that they really don't care whether or not you buy a pair of glasses or leave the shop in a timely or happy manner. I have been there twice now and both times I had to really ask them numerous times whether or not they had a specific pair I wanted. Both times they claimed they didn't have anything else until I literally told them to just look for the sake of it, and voila they found the pair I wanted. They also are completely clueless about the insurance policies they support. The person helping me acted like she knew more about the policy than I did and continued to argue against what I was saying until I somehow managed to prove that I was correct. I was also never told that I could get my glasses the same day (Lenscrafters policy) and I didn't get a call that I need to come pick them up until a few days later. I really dislike it when I walk up to a reception desk and the person sitting there doesn't even acknowledge you. Isn't that their job? They are too expensive for me. The first words out of their mouth was "the dr is gone for the day" so I politely asked if I could leave my info and my question and have someone get back to me. Worst place to get glasses or contacts. I was being extremely lazy and wanted to go somewhere close to where I live. I came here a few times to try out contacts and for follow up appointments, and every time I had to wait between 30 min to 1 hr for my appointment, even though I had scheduled it in advance. I don't even know why they have an appointment system if they don't even follow it. I didn't have any problem with the doctors that worked there but the people who work at the store were horrible. They didn't seem to care about the people who come into the store and didn't know the answers to any of my questions. I also called once asking about my prescription and was promised a call back, but never got one. This is the first LensCrafters I've ever been to so it makes me wonder if it's just this store in particular or if all LensCrafters are like this... read more

The customer service here is absolutely terrible. I was 4mins late for an appointment and was told that I had to sit and wait over 30mins b/c they had taken the next patient in. Then the girl behind the desk was telling her co-worker about my situation, rolling her eyes, while I was right there listening. To top it off, I saw a different eye doctor than originally who felt it necessary to lecture me about when to replace my contacts over and over like I was an incompetent child. It was insulting and aggravating, especially after having to sit and wait so long just to be seen. Sorry to say that, but it's waste of time and money. Very dissapointed and frustrated. Did two pairs of prescription glasses, one for reading and the other safety frame for work. Both glassess are totaly useless. Left lens on first pair always falling out, adjustments doesn't help. On the second pair the right lens is very simple, about +0.75, but is very blury everywhere except the center, so I can't look nowhere except straight forward. Looks like some manufacturing defect or wrong parameters of the lens, or wrong lens? And these are their most expensive lenses! Spent few hundreds on these. The only luck is my insurer and employer covered the expense. They are the most expensive. I tend to beleive that you pay for quality, but unfortunately, not here. Let me start by saying, this is going to be a Smart Ass Review, it's the only way I can let go of all the negativity that I had to sit through when getting my eye exam. If you do not mind spending $109 - $135 for an eye exam with a side of "you are a piece of Shit" then please take the time to go here. If you have questions concerning the exam, you will not get answers here. If you have any tattoos, then either cover up or shut up because the eye doctor will look the other way instead of engaging you. I did my part, I felt obligated to stay for the exam. I voiced my opinion about my visit, I have yet to receive a phone call for the way I was treated yet I held up my end of the deal and pay the $109. read more

The optometrist I saw twice here is stiff, superior, condescending. I've had glasses since I was 10 years old and she wins the prize for worst bedside manner. I have great insurance, am dropping an extra $90 to get a contact lens fitting, then purchasing $800 worth of glasses. Why the 'tude? I'm being nice. You too can be nice. Don't sneer at my questions. If you hate your job do something else. Jesus. 2 points instead of 1 for the front desk staff, who were polite, although when I called ahead to see if they were running on time, did not tell me I'd be waiting for 30 min. **Edited to a 1 star as optometrist refuses to approve my 1-800-CONTACTS prescription unless I make a new appointment with her. Even though the prescription is still good for a few more weeks. Just so I can pay a visit fee to argue her into approving my contacts order, which is the brand I want, instead of the one she wants me to have. Which is uncomfortable and dries my eyes out. Walking over a bed of nails and Legos barefoot would be less painful than going to this store again. read more

Stop taking customers after 6 pm if you are not fine with working even 10 mins post your closing time through no fault of the customer. And I wasn't even browsing through frames around the closing time. I was almost finalizing on the type of lens and the pricing with the guy. I enter the store at 6:15 pm and finalize on the frame in 10 mins and wasn't attended until 6:55. We were with the guy to finalize on frames and pricing, and he was pushing me think about it and come later. Meanwhile other guy started turning off the lights. I am paying $300 on my glasses dude. Keeping the lights on i think is the basic thing I can ask for as a customer. Bad salesmanship and rude sales people. I wish I could give 0 stars. I think they have changed the staff. Just moved up here from LA and of course lost the printed rx from my old LensCrafters. The people at this location were very helpful retrieving my rx. (My old LC was the absolute WORST so getting them to do anything at all, much less in less than 24hrs, is a miracle itself.) Overall very helpful and nice. read more

I was never helped by the 3 people behind the counter because they were making inappropriate statements about minorities. After overhearing the conversation, I politely asked to speak to a manager without relaying what the problem was--unsurprisingly, one of the three men was the manager. I bought my glasses in December, and the only reason they're getting 2 stars is because one of their employees was so helpful. She knew what I wanted and helped me. I was given my glasses and I noticed that they would smudge very easily (even though I paid extra for smudge/fingerprint proof lenses). The employee, a male, mentioned I didn't pay for it, even though I did and it said on my receipt. Regardless I paid AGAIN to get smudge proof coating on my glasses. Well it's now July and it still smudges and I'm tired of going to them and them not believing me. read more

If I can give a 'no-star', I would. Horrible customer service. Yelled at me from across the floor to go submit my paperwork while I waited for an appointment which was past its scheduled time. The receptionist did part of the eye exam. She was not very capable but at least she was not hostile and impatient like the second woman who walked in to take over from her. She failed to take proper stills of my retina and blamed it on my head before leaving the room in a huff. Both my husband and I left immediately. --Review is for the eye exam-- I walked in early for my exam so I started browsing the eyeglass selection. The staff was mediocre and not very helpful. The woman who did the initial eye tests wasn't professional at all. She had a frown face on the whole time. She didn't explain to me what she was doing and when I tried to strike conversation, she would respond back with an attitude. The only time she was polite was when she told me my jacket was cute and she had been looking for one similar to it and asked me where I bought it. I'm sorry but my main objective is to get my eyes checked here. Had you been friendly and walked me through the whole process of the machines you were using and then commented about my jacket, I'd be fine with it. Very unprofessional! And I'm not surprised, the Optometrist wasn't any better. If she was, she would've trained her staff to be better. She wasn't very friendly and she seemed like she was just rushing to get me out. Let me remind you, that I was the early one to the appointment and had to wait well past my appointment time before getting seen by her. On top of all of that, my prescription from her was WAY too strong! Good thing, I had ordered eyeglasses from Warby Parker which has a 30-day exchange policy. I ended up using an old prescription.
