Anyone that knows me, knows that I have a fear of eye doctors. Typically, I fly to San Francisco to go to my eye doctor as I have been going to her for years and she knows how to deal with my phobia. Sadly, when I went this year, she was unavailable and the clock was ticking as I could lose my health insurance at any moment. I received an email from Visonworks regarding a special for frames, and a link to make an appointment so I thought I better act soon.I had very low expectations when making my appointment and was very apprehensive to visit an unknown doctor. The entire experience was positive from the time I walked in, until I left with 2 new pairs of glasses. First of all I discovered, they have new technology where for an extra fee you can avoid having your eyes dilated. They have a new machine they use which allows them to see into your yes without dilation. This was the best $39 I ever spent. Eye drops are one of the reasons I hate the eye doctor in the first place. This was a welcoming relief for me. Then I went into the exam room with Dr. Bo. She was great, and the exam was relatively painless. The real cherry on top of my whole experience was Jessica, who helped me get my glasses. She was an absolute joy to work with. If it wasn't for the grump behind me wanting service I could have stayed all night talking with her. She was so much fun, and had such a good heart. I had to refrain from not giving her a hug when I left. Sorry Dr. Kennedy, I think you have been replaced. read more

Optometrist Jessica Vo is horrible. I was there with my mother. My mother is elderly. She needs extra time to answer questions. Jessica had no patience with her. Jessica has no empathy and lacks basic customer service skills. She gives off a very unwelcoming attituded. The front desk girls and other staff are very nice! but you could tell their mood would change with Jessica around they would get flustered and look uncomfortable. There are other Visionworks locations that are just fine. read more

This place lost my business. They called me an hour before my appt, I took time off of work, and told me they had to cancel it due to the doctor being out. Then they asked when I would like to reschedule, I let them know, and they said "well we don't have any availability, would you like to go somewhere else." I let them know I'd figure it out myself. My wife needed to get her new prescription before the end of the year to use our 2019 VSP+ insurance benefit. She got an appointment next day, and then great help filling the prescription with both the Eyeglasses and sunglasses. Emily was really good at presenting the options and separating the insurance rule details and just shared the out of pocket costs to meet her needs. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. People have no clue what's going on or how to do their jobs. When the employee answered she answered like she hated her job and I had to ask her, her name! Prior to that I had been sitting on hold with another lady named Terry who acted like she didn't want to do her job and then in the middle of my sentence told me she was putting me on hold to transfer me me to someone else with no explanation and literally put me on hold while I was speaking! I sat on hold for five mins before I called and hung up. This is our last Trip to this land of incompetence. Ever since manager Daniel went to another store it has been worse each time we call in for anything. We came to Visionworks after suspecting an incorrect prescription from another provider. After checking the lenses against the prescription, Kelly suggested rather jump into a new pair that day, we contact our original provider (who did make those right). We've since returned to Visionworks for other pairs (computer, sports, etc.) since and always got great prices and service each time. read more

You know i went here a year ago and had a great experience but this time not so much. Don't know what changed but something or someone has. A couple of the tests weren't done because the computer was down, then when the DR gave me the exam she slammed me. Gave me an "eye fitting," which I didn't need and haven't had since I 1st started wearing them over 25 years ago. Happens that Insurance doesn't cover that particular "fitting" and it cost me $51. She never said a word about if it was an additional cost, a necessary part of the exam, etc. Then got a major upsale speech on glasses of which I was in for contacts. Anyway, was not really happy leaving. Will go elsewhere if this is how it goes there..... read more

Then imagine my shock when I walked in to Visionworks and they fixed my daughter's glasses, were very professional and friendly, and everything was fixed on the spot. Super kind and helpful! I bought a pair of glasses at this location a few years ago. They got pretty bent because of my own clumsiness. When I looked up different places to get them fixed, I was afraid that I would have to spend lots of money as most places cost about $40-$90 for repairs. I called to get a quote and the staff was very kind and helpful. I went the next day to get them fixed and everyone was also kind and helpful. It only took me 5 minutes to get them fixed (as it was only bent) and I didn't have to pay for an appointment! I'm very satisfied with my experience here! read more

The only place that can make the right eyeglasses for me! I am literally their life time customer wherever I live in the world!. Kelly , the store manager went beyond her duties to make sure the new glasses work for me and it meant a lot to me. I have not seen anybody this much dedicated to the satisfaction of their customer. I highly recommend this place. Ten years ago I started having trouble with all the optical shops along with optometrists making my eyeglasses! They all tried at least three times and it still did not work despite the fact that the prescription is very simple! I would get a headache and if felt like my eyes are not in sync. I was on a business trip in Beaverton and had two hours to kill in the evening, I decided to give a shot at this place! They made a new pair in half an hour and magically it worked! Since then I have ordered my glasses there on the phone and recently I visited Oregon to see friends and ordered more glasses for couple of years. Upon arrival my appointment was cancelled because I had been exposed to COVID over a week ago AND already tested negative from that exposure AND am completely vaccinated and boosted. Love this office! Dr. Prassad is fantastic! She's a total pro, and I've never had so much fun during an eye exam. The manager, Kelly, is equally awesome. She's helped me select my frames for nearly 20 years and I've followed her from office to office to continue that great service. She's a genius at selecting frames that make you look great and knows the many insurance plans well. Kelly has trained a great staff to give that same level of service. I had Sierra helping throughout my whole experience and she was extremely knowledgeable. Her explanations on why I should get certain features for my glasses felt genuine and I did not felt pressure on having to add them. Was provided incorrect information about my insurance coverage from the front and back office. I got two pairs of glasses, and one pair has an incorrect pupillary distance. And now, I call to get assistance with ordering contacts and am told they only order them on Fridays and payment is due up front. This has not been a good experience and I am completely regretting my decision to go to this office. read more

I came here looking for a pair of glasses, it took 30 minutes for the staff to acknowledge that I was there (Even though they were empty). There was some metro sexual dude there who was very rude and condescending. Also it's just feels plain sleazy in there. The prices are not competitive and the quality is very marginal. read more

Took my children here and while waiting to see the Optometrist we could hear him and the staff loudly bashing a customer that had called to complain. For about 15 minutes they called her an "idiot" and "she can call corporate, I don't care." When it was time for my kids to pick out their glasses the 2 workers were extremely unprofessional. 1 worker asked for my insurance card and then told me repeatedly that wasn't the right card and then snatched the card out of my hand and said "I will call but I know this is for dental. It was the correct card, she never apologized. After confirming my benefits she then told me the wrong information. When I questioned it she rolled her eyes in front of the 3 of us and walked away without a word. I then had to call and confirm myself, in front of her, that my children do not have a limit or copay. Again, no apology. As they completed paperwork they 2 staff members were throwing pens back and forth to each other and constantly throwing in "fricking" into every sentence. When our glasses came in it was the wrong color frames, and while this worker was helpful, it was unprofessional of her to grab the correct frame from the shelf and pop out the lens and switch it in front of us. Once we got home we noticed she missed putting a screw back in but my daughter will go without it rather than having to go back here! read more

Gosh my eyes are so bad an eye exam for me was way over due. I came in earlier in the week looking to get myself established with a optometrist I the area, fortunately for me my timing was great and I was able to jump in on the tail end of a huge sale they were having on frames. I was able to get set up with an exam no problem same week thanks to the sales associate working there ( I wish I could remember her name). Any way, came in for my appointment today was greeted warmly upon entering by Kerri and Scott (who by the way are genuinely kind and helpful) . Was greeted by doctor Prasad who was friendly initially and helped me fill out paper work etc. The exam went OK. It's the real reason for the 4 stars although even that seems generous, I didn't realize how bad my eyes were until we started doing the vision tests and during the process the doctor seemed rushed and very obviously got frustrated with my answers , actually I think she got frustrated early on when I opted out of choosing to get my eyes dilated upon sign up.... I get that dilating the eyes offers more of a comprehensive and thorough exam but not having insurance $89 for me is pretty expensive and I was unwilling to spend $115 in an exam on top of purchasing new frames. At the end of it she did not bother to at least thank me for coming in and made a comment about next time getting my eyes dilated. Maybe it's my imagination but it's still worth mentioning that at one point she must have gotten so irritated she had to step out of the room For a moment. I really don't understand why she seemed so rushed as I was the ONLY patient in the office at that time. I don't know if I care to come back for future exams and truthfully the only reason why I settled for coming in at all was because of their sale. Despite being a particularly tough frame to insert and remove lenses, Keri & Jasmine tag teamed to make it happen with humour and determination. And then refused to charge me! Late last month I went into Visionworks to purchase a new frame for my sunglass prescription. Kelly is an experienced Optician, delightful and she will take as much time with you as needed. She looked at my face construction any quickly picked out a frame that fit and looked great!
