My husband was looking for a particular kind of glasses and was not sure which one so we thought we would just go on another day and order them. This would be paid for by mu husbands insurance. Well, we got a message that a family member needed our help in California and we needed to be there asap. We called them & explained this, and that we wanted the glasses he ultimately had tried on, and that we would just get those glasses and take them to California and get lens then. My husband would not be returning to work and these were going to be covered on his insurance. They were busy and said they would call back. No call. Called several more times, no call back. We went buy and they were closed. By this time we had to leave. Fast forward to January. We did not want to go back to them for glasses and decided to go elsewhere. Unfortunately, I could not find the prescription anywhere so we were forced to go in person to request it. My husband ran in, they were so rude and they even seemed annoyed that he would dare ask for a reprint of the prescription. My husband came out so annoyed. He is a chill guy and always is friendly and for them to treat him like that was not only unacceptable, but unwarranted. Seeing all these reviews that date back to 2019, that the staff is rude, nothing apparently will be done about it. Lesson learned from now on to check Yelp before going to the eye doctor. OR ANYWHERE!!!

I really like Dr. Tse and her technician Jennifer has been very helpful and willing to spend extra time explaining things when I had questions. The optician Renee is also very sweet. The front desk person is not nice and my interactions with her have all been unpleasant. I am not sure what her name is because she doesn't bother to introduce herself and is not friendly at all. She makes you feel like a bother and tries to hurry you out the door. That is a separate issue and wasn't my initial reason for writing a review. My issue is the office being closed every time I went to pick up my glasses when it says they're open till 5 o'clock and the front desk staffs attitude towards me. I spent a lot of money on my glasses and sunglasses and couldn't pick them up for over a week after getting the call they were ready through no fault of my own. I made it well before 5 o'clock each time yet the office was locked up tight. It's really sad that the business hours displayed are not honored by the practice. Like I said, I had tried to pick up my glasses 4 separate times but the office was closed before 5 every single time. I wasted my time and gas to pick up something I paid a lot of money for. When I asked why they had been closed before 5, I was told they actually close at 4:30. I asked why it says 5 online and was told it's specific to this office. Again, the hours of operation I have seen all say 5 o'clock. Luckily, I managed to get there as they were closing the fifth time, which is when I was told all this information about their specific closing time. It was not even 4:30 yet and they were already shutting off the lights and getting ready to leave. When I walked in I felt rushed and disregarded by the lady in the front. The interaction I had with her was awful and all my questions regarding the closing time were blown off like it was my problem for being upset. The other staff was very polite and could tell I was irritated. I spoke with Jennifer about my frustrations and she apologized for the inconvenience and tried to make me feel a little better. She also helped me with some issues regarding my contacts and I appreciate how helpful she was. The whole time I was talking though, that woman was acting like she had better things to do. She was sighing loudly and tapping her fingernails and holding her purse like she was bored. It was so rude and you could tell the other staff was uncomfortable with her behaviors. She made me feel like I needed to hurry and leave so she could go home for the day. I have never ever felt this way as a patient at this office and was very disappointed with how things happened this time. I've told my family and friends who are also patients at this clinic to think about going somewhere else and am seriously considering establishing my care elsewhere. If your hours of operation say 8 to 5 o'clock then it should be honored and having to drive there that many times to find out they actually close early is beyond irritating and makes the whole company look bad. I wonder if any other offices also do this and am thinking about calling a manager to find out if it is only the Hillsboro location that does this. I've also thought about writing a letter to the whoever manages this clinic regarding the behaviors and disrespect shown to me by that specific staff member. I really don't think they should be working with patients if this is how they are going to act. It isn't just a one time behavior either. They have always been unpleasant when I am there. It reflects on the company as a whole and I would hope they would be appalled if they knew one of their staff acted this way. I would be if it were my company. So if you need to pick something up at this location make sure you get there by 4 or you'll be rushed out the door or find it closed early for the night. I am giving 2 stars for how awful one person is and for this office closing earlier than what it says is their business hours. To the staff that treated me like I mattered, thank you.
