I brought my safety glasses purchased from LensCrafters back after only 11 days for a simple adjustment, and the experience was unbelievably unprofessional. The employee immediately refused to help, claiming she "couldn't touch" them because they were safety glasses, then kept inventing new excuses instead of offering any real assistance. When I called out her rude behavior, she escalated the situation by telling me to leave the building or she would call the police. Completely unacceptable customer service. As if it were not possible to receive worse than terrible service Lens Crafters have outdone themselves in poor service. My daughter returned for her follow up visit today. Learning for experience she showed up only 15mins ahead of her scheduled time... and although there were few other people there she was not seen until nearly two hours past her scheduled time. And after being charged $155 for the premium contact lens exam on the first visit she was armed and ready for bogus charges...after all this was just supposed to be a trip to follow up on the contact lens comfort. After refusing a "highly recommended procedure" that had she not asked she would've been charged an additional $90 she still signed up to receive some BS $40 service; because she declined the $90 service when she was asking about the purpose/value of the $30 service this JERK of a doctor told her "everything is not free" and declined to give her the $30 procedure. When she got to the front to check out good old Glenda asked for $30 and my daughter said for what? She said for the service you signed for. My daughter told her the doctor declined to preform it; and as if my daughter was lying she said she had to confirm with the doctor...I guess they don't write or read visit notes at this facility. The doc just happened to be coming up front at the same time and when Glenda asked he all of a sudden had a moment of clarity and realized that he was rude for no reason. Glenda insisted on rescheduling my daughter wouldn't go back to that unprofessional and rude establishment if they paid her. I would not send a dog to this joke of a place she is also providing a more detailed report and her a copy of her reciepts to the better business bureau and The Board of Examiners in Optometry. read more

The optometrist office is apparently a separate business, and he was ok. But the staff helping me to select frames were wonderful and patient...with me, with each other, and with several other customers who were in the office at the same time. This is the SLOWEST LensCrafters I have ever been to. My appointment was at 3:30p and the doctor didn't come to see me until 4:35p. On top of that, the doctor lectured me first thing about wearing my contacts for too long and for not getting an eye exam in 2 years. I mean, I know, but now I don't want to come back to see him since that was the first thing he had to say. He was very curt with me and didn't seem all that polite. Also, since you are here for so long, they don't have a bathroom for you to use and you will have to go to target to use it, while you wait an additional 30+ minutes for your eyes to dilate. I came back a week later to pick up my glasses. I had gotten frames as a gift which I had fitted for lenses. They insinuated that I stole the frames and said I could not pick up my glasses until I spoke with a manager. Then they told me to come back in 6 hrs for the manager to check the security tapes to make sure I didn't walk out with them the last time I was there. Obviously, the tapes didn't show a damn thing and I was able to get my glasses. But I will never go back here. read more

Poor customer service. The worker acted like he was in his living room. Where was the professionalism, the greeting or informing or thanking the client? I needed info regarding my son's glasses which just came in the mail 3 days ago from Warby Parker in NY. (My son is spending the summer with me in MD so they shipped them). I was told at WP I could bring them back in and add the transition lenses for a mere $100. However from where I'm at in Greenbelt to get to the WP in DC is an inconvenience. So I popped in here and first of all he guy starts creating an account for me. I ask why!?!? I ask shouldn't they have a price list of transitional lenses? He says that the next time I go in, it will be much easier. So I let him go to work and he's busy typing away on a tablet. I reminded him though, all I wanted was a quote. I didn't need him to spend so much time making an account bc I told him, if the quote is too high, I would not purchase from Lens-crafters. Anyway he asks for my id bc it was easier to type my information in. I give him my license and he asks for my email so I tell him "first name dot last name at msn.com" He confirms and says Amanda dot Nicole. No, I tell him and state my last name (mind you he has my license in his hand!) He confirms again, Amanda dot Nicole. NO! If he was paying attention he would have noted I already said no. So I said "Nicole is my middle name!" This fool has the nerve to say....wait for it...."Well there's no other name, all it says is Amanda Nicole." Really I tell him? That's impossible that my license does not have my last name on it. Now he looks dumb and unknowledgeable. Finally he creates an account--tells me my Carefirst insurance is not accepted l, says there's a promo for 20% off and quotes me close to $350!! You know how salesmen's job is to "make the sale," answer questions and basically not let clients leave feeling dissatisfied? Well this joker did the EXACT OPPOSITE! Had no explanation as to why they were so much. I asked him if WP is doing it at $100, why on Earth are they charging me so much? Even my 15 yr old daughter said "Mom, it didn't seem like he knew what he was doing." Seemed more like he was making up info as the minutes went by. Sadly he was not a professional. A coworker walked in and he asks her about her shoes that she purchased! I swear, this is the ghetto nonsense that occurs in PG! I said if he could not explain such a huge price mark up, I will just have to make the trip into Warby Parker in DC. What a shame! Lens-crafters overcharges for their work (if you don't believe me, just check other reviews!) bc they send it all out to the lab anyway and so the customer picks up these charges, but then to add insult to injury, you get workers that are terrible and inefficient at their job. What a waste of time that I can't get back! I'm also posting a pic of the WP website which does in fact put transitions on for an additional $100! No wonder so many Lens-Crafters have gone out of business! read more

Two stars only because of the retailers at the store they actually try to help and get you going about your day but outside of that the Doctor of Optometrist located in LC is terrible. The doctor, I'm not sure of his name because there are two optometrist at this location is SUPER RUDE. No bedside manner whatsoever. An a-hole if you want pure honesty, he acts as if you're inconvenience to his day. If you don't want to practice optometry go do something else. I can't rate the retail portion of my experience because I refuse to continue my business there based on the interaction with the doctor. Zero stars to be honest, but Yelp doesn't allow it. Understand this is not a review of the store selling the glasses, they were very helpful. This is a review of the doctors office which I now understand is independent of the store. My appointment was at 4:30. I did not get seen until 5:15. I understand it's a doctors office so sometimes it just happens that way. My issue with my experience is not with how courteous everyone was, it was with how I was sold everything. The doctor was a little abrasive but that doesn't bother me I'm thick skinned. When I was finished with my doctor (he said I was a candidate for contacts) I was told to sit in a chair and wait. The assistant then came in and handed me two contacts and showed me how to put them in. She then showed me how to take them out again and began explaining to me when and how long I can wear them. I was then taken to another chair where I discovered that I had just PURCHASED said contacts unbeknownst to me. I was given the option of 6 month or 1 years worth of contacts. The lady behind the counter threw some numbers at me and at this point I became very overwhelmed. I don't know ANYTHING about contacts and their price but was at no point given any option to pay just for the eye appointment and get my prescription. I (regretfully) agreed to get 6 months of contacts (im an idiot) and then left the store. It was at this point that I realized I don't even know the brand I purchased, the brand in my eyes as I was walking out, or for exactly what I had just paid for. I feel even though I didn't ask that is some information I should have gotten or at least told. I am calling back to cancel the order. I feel that if I had been more inquisitive I may had been happier with my experience. I also feel that some of the question I regretfully did not ask should have been information that felt obligated to share. read more

They will cheat you into paying them for any service even if you leave with nothing. I would not recommend anyone go here. I had a prescription already and came for prescription sunglasses. They came in and were HUGE. So I needed them tightened. They did such a terrible job sizing them I've had to go back twice. Might just return them I hate going there they do such a terrible job. read more

On feb 2 I had an appointment set for my almost 80 year old mother; the parking lot was full and had to park pretty far away; I decided to run inside and let lens crafters know my mom is here but will take a moment for her to walk; the 2 on duty were not customer service oriented in fact they were having a personal conversation and I had to interrupt them to advise them of appointment; I then ran back to escort mom to Lens crafters; this is our first time going to the mall and Lens crafters what a bad and rude experience from the optometrist we stood on the floor over mins no one said can I help you no directions as to where to check in; and then I finally walked to the back and told the lady that we have an appointment @430 at this time its 435 she then said i was told you weren't here and I took a walk and I now have 2 others In front of you and proceeded to argue her point when I told her this was the first time here and we had been on the floor waiting for clerks to tell us what to do; she was rude, nasty and very un professional telling me we are closing soon and we are separate from Lens Crafters like the customers knows this when we set the appointment; I will never set foot back In that place ever again and Iam a local business owner and will further advise my staff and other not to do so either; unbelievable rudeness and disrespect for the elderly and handicapped!! read more

The doctors office attached is horrible. They have no kind of customer service and act as though you have no other options. They do not share with you the brand of contacts or prescription of your contacts. They do not discuss the maintenance of the contacts which is important if you have never worn contacts. They overcharge for your contacts and do not tell the truth about quanity in relation of wear schedule. I felt uncomfortable with the doctors attitude and would suggest you run from this office. This has got to be the worst Vision establishment I have ever been to. Everybody from the staff that actually work in the front area, to the staff of the optometrist are rude. First off you walk in and nobody volunteers to help you, no hi how can I help you or anything, you basically have to stand there and look around for someone that can help you. They are not knowledgeable of eyewear at all, and are not very helpful. The optometrist Dr. Vaxmonsky is very rude and so is his staff, whomever the older lady is working at the counter for the optometrist really need to retire because she is a very rude individual. They don't explain anything to you in detail, my son visited this place several times because of lack of communication, he paid for contacts that took forever to order. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone as well as I will never ever step foot in here again. Four Eyes are the best Vision place to go, better discounts and better customer service. Please train your employees and/or have them visit a seminar on customer service etiquette. read more
