Dr. Siegel is an amazing optometrist. She is very committed to her patients. The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful.

These people cannot get a set of glasses right, the first, second or third time. Their staff, in particular a young lady there has quite the attitude and downright rude. Started blaming me, because I couldn't see clearly through glasses THEY made, 3 times. Would stay away and go back to an independent store, the care more. read more

Disappointing. One of the employees mismeasured my wife's eyes, and consequently, her glasses were made incorrectly. Of course, my wife didn't see as well as she should have with them, but she believed her eyes were simply adjusting to the new transition lenses. We asked to have them remade after they 30 day "happiness guarantee" window, but the store and retail leadership team refused. They would only offer 20% discount to make a new pair. You read that correctly. They acknowledged that they made a mistake on my wife's lenses but refused to stand behind their employee or workmanship. Why? Because they were notified after 30 days. After over a 15 years with LensCrafters, including 8 with this location, my family will be moving on. We like and have a relationship with our doctor here, but we don't like this policy at all. Prior to writing this review, I made several attempts to work with LensCrafters on a different solution (including opening a case on their website and emailing with the Regional Manager). LensCrafters response was, "Sorry. That's our policy." When I questioned the integrity of the policy in light of their mistake, they decided to ignore me completely. Obviously we were surprised and disappointed. Given this disrespectful treatment, we've decided to stop wasting time and will take our business elsewhere. My wife's business alone was work over $1k/year. read more

I was appalled by the way I was treated by the doctor today. I could hear the doc was annoyed by the way I was scheduled as she loudly discussed how they "don't see eye redness" in front of several other patients. She then pulled he aside but still in the waiting room and proceeded to berate me about how my appointment was scheduled (within ear shot of several people). I tried to explain that my physician recommended an optometry (NOT ophthalmologist) follow up for a complete eye exam so they could "get a better view of the back of my eye". The doctor was extremely rude in her tone and demeanor and said that's not what I was scheduled for and that I would have to wait because she had other patients to be seen. I was so embarrassed, dumbfounded and confused so let without being seen. S Apparently this particular doc doesn't actually want to perform eye exams and is the most unprofessional, obscene clinician I have ever encountered. read more

After going to other LensCrafters locations (Arlington Heights, Northbrook), this location is my LensCrafters of choice. Everything about this location, from the parking to the modern equipment to the facility size to the efficient patient processing is better at this location. I've only been here once, but it seemed less busy than other locations which are in busy plazas or malls -- which may have contributed to the positive experience. My optometrist here was just as qualified and friendly as other locations -- but also took the extra time to talk through different options with me and helped me understand my overall eye health and eyeglasses and/or contact options. This location is probably newer than the other local options as well, which may contribute to the perception that the equipment is newer. Overall, a good option for those looking to visit a LensCrafters. read more

I've been an Elite yelper for years and do not give out 1 stars often but this experience has been frustrating. This was our families first time trying LensCrafters. Their level of customer service is sub par to say the least. I ordered glasses from this location in January. After a couple weeks, I called to follow up on my order and they told me it's in the lab it should be delivered the following week. I called 3 more x to be told the same response. Finally the last time they said the lab couldn't make my glasses so they canceled the order...When were they planning on letting me know? Why did I have to call to find out this info? They said they will send the order to another lab and it should be ready in a week. I asked if they could call the previous lab find out why they couldn't make it and see if the new lab would have the same issue, so that I'm not waiting another week to be told that it's in process or canceled again. They said they would have their manager look into it and call me back within 2-3 days. It's been over 3 days Still waiting on that call... read more

Dr Belson provides excellent expertise and professional care. We have been seeing Dr Belson for 8 years and will not change despite being out of network or cash pay. She is very approachable. and she takes the time to educate the patient and provide customized care. Truly grateful for her care! Staff is good as well and she takes the time to make sure all the tests were done properly and interpreted well. Quality of glasses is unsurpassed. Yes, they are higher price and takes longer to select, but I have been happy with frames for years and just replaced the lenses when needed. Lenses are perfect from the get go. No double vision. I went in understanding that there was a special being offered, I up front mentioned this to the clerk. She said yes, and had me select frames...while I did so, she just stood around. Once I had them, she proceeded to enter all my data into the system, only after that, about 1/2 an hour, did she go check on the special. Turns out they were not offering it. My issue: why didn't she confirm before wasting my time? Ridiculous. read more

Did not provide a pupillary distance measurement as part of an eye exam, and refused to do so when asked. Should have a sign on the door reading "if you don't buy frames from us, get bent" I will go to a real optometrist in the future to avoid wasting my time again. read more

I asked for an estimate for glasses for myself at this Lenscrafters---ultra-thin lenses since I have a really strong prescription, progressives, transitions. I was told it would be about $485 even though we have really good vision insurance. I bought glasses (designer frame, same lens options) at a different optical chain for about $200. I know in the past Lenscrafters charged about twice as much as everyone else because of their high overhead from having on-site labs. But now that they don't offer one-hour service any more, I don't see any reason to pay their inflated prices. read more

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this LensCrafters Optique in Lincolnshire. It is always an adjustment when setting up new medical care when you move to a new area. The staff at LensCrafters was welcoming and professional. In particular, kudos to Samantha who was very patient and helpful. She answered my many questions without flinching or rushing me off the phone. She provided phenomenal customer service and I hope she is acknowledged for her efforts. I was extremely impressed with this LensCrafters. I went in on Saturday morning and was told I could have an appointment in 2 hours so I went back. I off handedly said do you think I could have them by turkey day which was the following Thursday. He said I'll put a note with your order. I went to LensCrafters for a simple repair and adjustment of my glasses. A female employee interrogated me as to whether I bought the glasses there and made a comment about the frailty of the glasses. A second employee was far more cordial and helpful, but the damage had already been done. The repair was free which I had expected. I did buy the glasses there which the female confirmed herself after noticing some kind of code on the eyeglasses. I left scratching my head over the female's customer service approach. Had it not been for the male employee, I would have given only one star. read more

Went to this eye doctor more out of convience, I work around the corner. Planning on getting contacts for the first time. Being that I had been in for an exam elsewhere a year ago, they didn't try to push any other services on me. Then when it came time to sit through the contact class, they were more then pacient with me. Sitting with me at least 7 or 8 times while I tried to get them in. Both Dr Belson and Dr Kim are extremely helpful and thourogh. All the women who work there are very professional, helpful and considerate. If I wasn't moving, this would stay as my eye doctor. read more

I got my glasses and contact lenses there a few weeks ago, was shopping there for the first time: - Very friendly and professional personnel - all from sales to doctor - Comprehensive eye exam (I've never seen such a thorough exam anywhere else) - Good selection of glasses (regular glasses for vision) - The quickest turnaround on glasses I've seen (i was able to get mine in 2 days - not sure if this is how they work all the time or maybe it's a normal turnaround right now - i remember I had to wait for my glasses 2 weeks last time - 7 years ago) Based on my experience I would highly recommend this place. read more

My wife told me about this place, so I decided to go on-line and scheduled an exam for a Sunday early afternoon. Got there and had to wait a few minutes, but well worth it. The employees couldn't be more apologetic which was not necessary. The best was the Optometrist, Dr. Blumlein. What a pro! Took his time, explained everything and I felt as comfortable with his exam as I have with the Optometrists I've visited elsewhere. I had a great interaction with the doctor there and my exam was perfect. However, they have very poor communication around customer service and status of your order. I ordered glasses on 1/3. They came in scratched on 1/9, so they sent them back to the lab. I appreciate that, but it's now 1/17 and I still don't have my glasses. There was no request to rush them on the re-order and I had to call to find out the status becuase no one had reached out to me. Between insurance and out of pocket costs the two pairs of glasses were almost $1,800, so I expected a certain level of quality customer service that I didn't receive. I started to push on when I could expect them and basically got the "it's not our fault, it's the lab." I honestly don't care if the problem is with the lab or the store, I paid Lenscrafters for a product and service that I have not received with an acceptable timeframe. read more

I was fortunate enough to interact with both Dr. Belson and Dr. Sagal on separate occasions. They were both genuinely friendly, thorough, and sincerely invested in prescribing me the best RX for my eyes. They took my opinions into consideration which I really appreciated. As for the retail staff, Loretta and Danny were incredible. Loretta had a very warm personality. She took thorough measurements and offered truthful opinions as to what frames suited my round face shape. The digital measurement system seemed a lot more accurate than manual measurements. I was impressed with the staff's utilization of high technology. Danny had a very gentle and patient way of speaking and had a good eye for feminine and fashionable frames. I'm surprised this store doesn't have more reviews. It isn't often that you walk into an eyecare store and feel like you are personally being catered to. The prescription and the glasses are both working great. I felt like I had known the employees here for a long time as soon as I walked in. read more
