This is the 3rd time I've visited this location (in Target center) to see the optometrist and it will be my last. I went for a complete eye exam in January and returned today for an adjustment on my contact lenses. The staff is very nice, but incompetent. They schedule appointments for a very, very slow optometrist every 1/2 hr. Problem is, it takes him an hour or more to see each patient!! You will wait AT LEAST an hour beyond your scheduled appointment. The staff lost my file from the January visit, called me by the wrong name 3 times, would NOT tell me how much longer the wait was until I insisted on it and then rescheduled me to come in the next day at 9 am. They said, "you have to be his 1st appt in the morning or right after his lunch or it's an hour wait"!! What?? How can a business run like this? Plus they now send your glasses away for 7-10 days -- no more 2 hour turn around, so this place has lost its appeal for me. I only hope my "adjusted" contact lens prescription will be ok now. This should have been the prescription given to me in January!! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Paid for anti-glare and scratch resistant lenses. Haven't had my glasses 6 months and the glare is suddenly so bad I cant wear them, also a scratch has also suddenly appeared in the right lenses in my field of vision. I was told by Jennifer and the manager Rose that because I didn't buy a warranty there is nothing they can do. So paying extra for anti- glare lenses and scratch resistant lenses is a scam. I have sense found out they are selling customers re-furbished lenses with some type of coating they spray on the lenses that fills in the scratches for a short period of time. Once that film wears off in a few months, you notice the scratches and the glare. The manager offered me 40% off new lenses, which would have cost me over $300! Well not new lenses, used lenses. This place is a scam and they are ripping people off. I will never ever go to this place again. And will make sure others know as well what type of business they are. read more

Early Saturday morning. Four staff working behind the counter including the manager, and with three customers patiently waiting, they told to me to have a seat. Waited 5,10,15 minutes without so much as staff even looking at any of us, instead the manager chose to have a training moment behind the counter (or so it appeared) and ignore the customers. Very poor service. I ended up walking out. They will not get my business again. read more

We each got a pair of glasses. David had an eye exam as well; I'd already done my exam elsewhere. Staff were very nice, they validated our insurance while we looked at frames. Went to lunch, came back, and our glasses were ready. Prices seemed very reasonable with our insurance. I would definitely go here again. read more

LensCrafters, 72393 California 111, Palm Desert, CA My partner and I have been customers at LensCrafters Palm Desert store for about 2 years now, purchasing both spectacles and contact lenses. As someone who works in cinematography, precise vision is paramount and I previously had a pair of spectacles made in Paris which utilised expensive high-index glass lenses manufactured by German optical company, Zeiss. The lenses without the frame were in the region of about $1000 and were a special order, ultra-thin glass, unique. Zeiss arguably produce some of the best lenses in the world and I always prefer glass to plastic. Sadly the plastic frame had cracked across the bridge, so I was in the market for either a replacement or finding a new frame to house the lenses or some other solution. When I approached LensCrafters one of their senior staff, Brent, a pleasant and personable kind of guy dealt with us. I pointed out in advance that my spectacles were made of expensive glass NOT plastic, but for some reason perhaps known only to himself, Brent proceeded to quite carelessly "pop" one of the lenses from the frame. Before I could say hold your horses, to Brent's horror the ultra thin fragile lens cracked in half, at which point he said, "I didn't realise they were glass??!!!" Well its not like I didn't say. Eventually he offered me a 50% reduction on a replacement frame (worth only $80 in real terms) but I still had to buy new lenses at $310. And plastic lenses as opposed to glass because of a US restriction on glass lenses I was told. I was pissed but didn't want to make a scene. But when I thought about it, I realised I'd been hard done by here. I recalled Brent had given my partner the name of a spectacle repair shop for my partner's frame which had a broken hinge. Upon a visit, that repair shop informed me that my spectacles could potentially have been repaired using an embedded pin. When I returned to collect my new spectacles I decided to voice my complaint. Brent wasn't there so I spoke with a young woman describing herself as assistant manager. When I brought up the problem, "Amy" became what can only be described as defensive and proceeded to inform me that 50% was the best "discount" that any customer was going to se Even the employees didn't get a better than 50%? Why exactly a discount should somehow satisfy for the "damage" that was levelled I have yet to understand. But what really bothered me was that Amy was dissuading me from taking the matter further. I was amazed by the "closed door" attitude and it annoyed me to hear her repeat the same 50% discount rhetoric. I left the shop on the understanding that the manger would contact me when she returned. It too about 2 weeks to eventually get her on the phone. When we finally spoke, "Raazia M" actually refused to give me her surname? Is that company policy I wonder? And as anticipated she just repeated the same rhetoric that her assistant had. I would say she went further and tried to put words in my mouth such as 'I had accepted the shop's offer of 50% so that should be the end of the matter" which really wasn't properly discussed except in passing. She also made out that because my spectacles had a broken frame they were already of less value. So not only is my valuable property trashed but now I'm left feeling worthless. Raazia also claimed that Brent, whom she said was trying to help me, asked if he could do what he was about to do. Well it certainly wasn't asked in that 'manner' and I don't believe even Brent anticipated that his careless actions would result in breaking my lens. And furthermore Raazia instructed me that its company policy not take responsibility for the customer's property. Well that's a good one. Who's responsibility is it when they carelessly break it? Mine? Although Razzia M was at odds to apologise, the best she could offer me was to extend the 50% off a new frame deal to my partner. But that might be another $80 or so? Not exactly the kind of customer service one would expect is it? When I walked into LensCrafters it was in good faith in the hope that their technicians would take care of my needs and take due care and attention of my property. Clearly there was a moment of negligence here but instead of rising to the occasion the staff are simply dodging their responsibility and quoting company policy. Offering me 2x $80 discount whilst I'm obliged to purchasing 2 pairs of spectacles following the destruction of my $500 lens is insulting. Subsequently I informed Raazia M that I was not satisfied with her offer and decided I would take the matter further. Raazia gave me LensCrafter's customer service number but added that she had already discussed the entire matter with her regional manager and that he/she was also in agreement with her position on this, hinting I was further wasting my time and that my opinion didn't count. After a terrible experience at the other location in the mall I had decided to give LensCrafters a chance across the street. I had heard good things about this location. When I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly gal named Angelina. I end up sharing my experience with her and she was more than willing to try and resolve the issue. She finished with what she was doing and helped me figure out a solution with my sunglasses. Angelina had my sunglasses figured out and helped me get fitted for a new pair as well in a matter of minutes. So short story long. Please save yourself time and energy and shop at this location with Angelina and her very helpful nice crew. read more

Terrible service! Had an 11am appointment for eye exam. At 11:30 they still have 2 people ahead of us. We left. never to return.

RECOMMEND! I broke my glasses and needed a new frame asap, I called ahead and they told me they'd be able to give me a new pair within an hour or so depending on my prescription. Due to my prescription I was limited to a certain style if I wanted them in an hour but that was understandable. The staff is super sweet and helpful! James was the one that helped me out and he was amazing. He answered all my questions and was super informative. I left the store expecting them to be ready in about an hour and I received a message in less than 30 minutes telling me my new glasses were ready for pick up. Not only was the service amazing but the selection of frames they have is great. You'd definitely find something you'd like and the staff doesn't disappoint! read more

Staff was courteous and informative. Better was how they handled my glasses when there was a problem. My glasses seemed to be a little off and after a day I returned to double check everything was in order. Their optometrist took me in right way and quickly discovered a minor lab error. They fixed my glasses immediately as waited and I am 100% satisfied. Special thanks to their lab tech who understands quirky dentists. A+ read more

The worst LensCrafters I've ever been too. Ran 20 minutes late ok I can deal with that. I then had to call back 4 times for them to enter in new prescription so I could order contact lenses, then they entered the prescription in wrong. Thank goodness I double check things. read more

The service I had here was honestly terrible. The customer service was bad, the eye exam wasn't done right, doctor had to take me back again after he had finished writing down my prescription and didn't change anything after, the person who helped was supposed to help me apply for the store card as a payment plan only for me to get declined twice just because he didn't do it correctly. I got a call two weeks after from the bank saying the person who did it did it incomplete which is why they declined it. When I went to go pick up my glasses the same person who messed up on my order did not adjust my glasses correctly, they were loose and feel down from the bridge of my nose. I would definitely recommend going to the location inside the Westfield mall. Only reason I didn't go there was because due to COVID-19 the mall was close leaving me with no other choice but to go to this one. I then asked for a refund just for them to tell me they don't have enough cash, now I have to wait another 2-3 weeks for another Eyexam after going months without my glasses just for them to mess up and make me wait another month to get my money back. The store is attractive enough, but the service is bad if you order something they don't have in stock in the store. I've gone there for new frames, and it was fine, if a bit pricy. When I went for contacts it was terrible. They didn't have my prescription in stock, and so offered to order them after I pre-paid. They said it would take 10 days, which was about 5 days longer than I've ever previously had to wait for contacts. It took them 18 days to arrive, and when I called in to find out what the status of the order was I had a lot of difficulty getting an answer. read more

After a month, my glasses were finally ready. And just when I thought their customer service could not get any worse--they surprise me! When I walked in, the store manager hollered from across the room that someone would be with me shortly. She continued sitting. There was staff chatting on the phone and another moving little case boxes. At last the box lady asked what I wanted then pointed me to a desk. There was a used Kleenex on the desk. And spilled coffee. When I move away to avoid the mess the chair rolled over gum. The LensCrafters at (72393 HWY 111 #A Palm Desert, CA. 92260) is amazing!! thanks to the excellent customer service provided by Emily Odell (General Manager). I went to (3) other opticians in Palm Springs and the Palm Desert area, in which all of them were either completely rude (not listening in regard to what I needed in a lens and frame), or they stated they could not provided me with lenses in my old frames, unless I purchased new frames from them. This is not the case at this LensCrafters location. Emily provided me with her undivided attention and resolved my frame/lens issue the first time (it was nice not having to repeat myself numerous times and the person still not getting it). I found that Emily (regardless of being the GM) she exudes professionalism and her ability to get to the bottom of the situation quickly, she exceeded all my expectations in dealing with LensCrafters. I was shown the various types of frames they have (which is a lot! Kind of expensive, but that's CA prices for you. It's nice having variety). She explained the various types of lenses and lens coatings they have available. Businesses would thrive with more employees like her. Such a commitment to great customer service is to be commended. You can be sure that I will continue to do business with LensCrafters for years to come, if more people like Ms. Odell represented the company. read more

I wanted to give them 1 star, but gave them 2 because the eye doctor and the girl doing the pre-exam tests were very pleasant, but the absolutely horrible customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. They ring you up for your glasses and add on the most expensive options to your order without even asking! I was so startled at the price because insurance covered my frames 100% so I asked why I was being charged SO MUCH. The girl ringing up my glasses reluctantly broke down the pricing for me where I discovered she selected the the MOST expensive options for everything. The most expensive lenses, anti-glare treatment, insurance, etc. I get the feeling that they are on commission, but trying to sneak in all those extra charges is DISGUSTING. If she was honest with me and went over every option rather than assuming what I wanted then maybe I would have spent more, but NO WAY, not after that! In the end I ordered my glasses with just the basics, no crazy add-ons. .AND I still haven't received my glasses because they don't keep the basic lenses I ordered in stock. . . So much for same day service! I've been to other Lenscrafters before and they were wonderful, I'm so disappointed in this location. Something needs to change. I went online and booked an appointment for today at the Palm Desert location for an eye exam knowing I needed to buy new frames. I was at the Huntington Beach location 2 days ago and had my daughter with me so she could help me find a frame that be good for me. I took a picture of the glasses and the tag that had all the information that I needed so when I went to the Palm Desert location I knew exactly what I wanted but unfortunately they didnt have the frames I wanted. They told me they would find a pair for me that they would make phone calls till they find them. I was so impressed with the service. They really have a great costumer service. Two hours later I get a call that they located tge frames I liked and will be shipped within a few days :)...They had frames there in tge silver frames but wanted the copper so they were able to fit me and everything they needed to do so when the glasses come in all they have to do is put my lenses in... Everyone at lenscrafter were so nice and pleasant and went above and beyond my expectations. .. Thank you all of you that I had pleasure to meet...see you soon! read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I walk in on a Saturday morning with my wife who had a scheduled appointment for an eye exam. No one at the reception area and not one of the employees greeted us and explained what was happening. My wife waited more than 5 minutes then I finally asked one of the employees if there was someone working the front desk. I was rudely told no and that there were only 3 employees there and 8 customers waiting in front of us. Wow... understaffed on a busy Saturday? No manager or any one in charge to help. Other customers were walking in and we were all looking at each other wondering what was going on. Completely unprofessional, unorganized and horrible customer service. I see from the other reviews that we were not the only ones with a bad experience. We ended up leaving as my wife waited almost an hour past her scheduled exam and still was not seen. The staff out front was courteous and helpful - good people, however the exam process was not good. The optometrist referred to me as a 1962 Buick that probably needed some work. That if I had a 1962 Buick I'd need to take it to the shop. According to him I'd be told that I needed a few things done and could maybe lose 20 pounds. During the experience, I kept thinking it was more of a joke, but he felt he was giving important advice. He said it was a free country and I wouldn't be forced to take a medical exam or the advice. He wanted to know my medical history. None of his business. I came in for new lenses. The ONLY REASON I came in was because the film on the l current lenses had begun to peal and they needed to be replaced. I also felt a tweak in the prescription would be a right thing to do. I hope the glasses are acceptable when I pick them up and that I'll never have to walk into a LensCrafters again. read more
