The company has lost me as a customer. I was told they were not doing temperature checks because "Corporate" expressly directed not to. No one was wearing gloves - not the doctor, the assistant or the lab tech who was helping another customer with his new glasses. Also no plexiglas at the cashier area (was told it's coming). Gave me pen for paperwork and took it back. Had someone else used it before me? No coverings on the credit card machines. You idiots are in health care for goodness sakes. You want to keep your business then keep us safe. If had known what I know now I would have gone elsewhere. And... I couldn't find out the practices ahead of time because they don't have enough people to answer the phone. read more

I had an eye exam last Saturday. Dr. P was very thorough, friendly, and knowledgable. She made sure that my exam was as pleasant as possible. This particular LC has very modernized equipment by the way. I wasn't used to it at first because of how the LC in Cerritos mall is.It was definitely a pleasant surprise though! I lost my prescription sunglasses I've had for a few years and haven't seen the eye doc in a minute so my prescription was out of date. I went here just to look at frames and the lovely staff here squeezed me in for an appt. They don't take my vision insurance but I can get reimbursed, and the appt itself was $75. I thought was worth it considering I needed a fix quick. Dr. Choe and the staff were friendly, efficient and did what they needed to do. The last doc I went to was nice and all, but totally oversold everything from extra tests to glasses that came out to over $500. Psshhh. The best part is, I got new prescription sunglasses AND they were ready the NEXT DAY!!!!! I was so thankful bc I was leaving a few days later for a trip, so I really appreciated my experience here. The eye exam was very thorough and comprehensive. I was very impressed with the amount of time they took. They are always running specials for glasses and lens, but overall I found their retail prices very high. I did purchase prescription cycling Oakleys and the first pair had a tiny damage in the arm and they were very happy to replace the frames! I will go back for my next yearly appointment! read more

I have purchased several pairs of glasses over the years from LensCrafters. I'd say I WAS a long time customer. I took a pair of sun glasses into this store to get a quick adjustment done and they refused to help me bc I didn't buy them there. Said their repair center was for customers only. I even offered to pay for the adjustment and they refused. Not like they were busy. There was no one else in the store, now I get why. Sad. Very poor "customer" service. Needless to say, I'm no longer a customer and this store employee on this day, 8/16 (tues.) sux. Should be fired. read more

UPDATE: Frank is a great manager and quickly rectified the problems. Lens Crafters is lucky to have him. This place has a great selection, but we were dishonestly upsold on lenses to the tune of $200+ (luckily I noticed before leaving the store), and we were told that our two pair of glasses would be ready the next day. So not the case. The lenses for the sunglasses aren't in stock at the branch, and the lenses for the regular glasses are special order because of the frames - both of which the Lens Crafters employee would have known if she followed proper procedures. It will be at least two weeks. The really frustrating part is the only reason I know any of this is because I called the store and sat on hold for 20 mins while an associate tried to find out what the issue was. She couldn't - so I then had to talk to an asst manager. No matter how great the frame selection is here, Lens Crafters has lost our business. read more

I clearly understand that due to COVID protocol has changed. I'm disappointed in the service that was given at this location. My Dad went to the Lens Crafter (2 weeks ago) in the SouthBay mall which is closed at the moment due to the state guidelines. Understandable. Now, his glasses were sent to this location for pick up. After trying them on, his vision is blurry with the new glasses. We were told that an appointment was needed or walk ins could wait approximately 2hrs. Due to work schedules my Dad chose to wait. The gentleman man working in the lab was courteous and informed my Dad that the prescription for the lens needed to be adjusted. $75 were paid two weeks ago for the eye exam and the lady in the front informed us that another $75 needed to be paid again for another eye exam!!! We were informed that certain locations are not part of the franchise and are privately owed? Yet, over $600 were paid for the eye exam, frames, lenses and extended warranty. We were not told what location we could visit to assist him since this location obviously can't. Overall the staff was rude and not helpful. Privately owed location or not it's still a Lens Crafter and should not be brush off. read more

So far I have had an excellent experience at this lens crafters location. I was greeted right away by the assistant at the front desk and checked in for my appointment meanwhile another assistant got my paperwork for me to fill out right away and helped me with any questions I had on the form. After turning in the form I was helped by the same assistant with some of the tests before being seen by the doctor he was very helpful & quick without rushing me! Answered all my questions. The doctor I saw was very pleasant and went over all my concerns and went over the details of my results with me. I took a while to pick out some new frames but was not made to feel rushed or pressured at all. When I was finally ready the same gentleman who greeted and helped me at the beginning of my visit assisted me with making sure the fitting for my frames was exact & helping me out with questions about add ins and pricing. He really took the time to understand my situation and worked within my budget which really took a good amount of stress off my plate so I could focus on the visit and finding a good pair of glasses and not focus on my bill! He really went above and beyond and I appreciate it. I haven't received my glasses yet but if they're as good as the customer service here I'm sure I will be happy! read more

Everyone at this LensCrafters location is so nice and friendly and accommodating. I came to get my first pair of contacts and they were so patient and kind. I came back as many times as I needed to make sure my prescription was correct and I felt comfortable in my lenses. They are also great with a quick eyeglass adjustment and they are terrific with eye exams for adults and kids. I have never had to wait more than five minutes for an appointment.and parking is never a problem. read more

Full disclosure, I didn't step foot in the store... well I couldn't... I made an appointment over the phone for Sunday at 10:40... when I arrived the doors where locked. A sales rep walked up and tapped on the glass showing the the store didn't open until 11 and walked away. I was confused, I double check the number I called, and it matched the number on the window, so that wasn't it. When you call the number, the recording stated the store opens at 10:30. There was another customer waiting that was in the same boat and me, but his appointment was at 10:20. When we tried to ask the sales rep for clarification and help, they didn't want to bother with us. Eventually they walked to the door and try to communicate through the closed door, we couldn't hear anything they were saying. They refused to even open the door to talk to us. Eventually they gave up and walked away. It was a bizarre experience. For a company that prides it self on the convince of getting you glasses quickly... Having me show up, only to be turn away and lose my business, seems pretty inconvenient. Oh well time to look for another place. read more

Their staff is really rude. I went in to ask a quick question . I asked if it would be possible to replace my frame because they were defective. I had purchased them recently and couldn't believe one of the temples was already loose and about to come off. I had purchased these $500 burberry glasses thinking it would be a good investment because they would last me long , since they should be good quality, but that's besides the point. I got mad because I just wanted to know if it would be possible , just wanted to ask, but they get rude when I say the word free ! They could have politely just said yes or no , but they didn't. Made me feel like an idiot . They took my glasses took a good look at them and said , " I don't see anything wrong with them" . This other lady was their that I'm thinking was the manager and also agreed . I felt really uncomfortable because they made me feel like I was lying and just their to get a new pair . They said it in a really rude voice , which made it clearly obvious to me. The man that was attending me was really impatient. Every time I asked a question he would rigorously tap his hands on the table as a sign that he was agitated. They are working their to help and attend customers , not just stand around their and do nothing ! No matter how stupid the question is they should be polite because they are working!!!! Ughhh I'm just so angered that I can't say anything . I hate being mean or being that rude customer so I don't say anything , and they end up having their way . This is by far the best Lens Crafters. I walked in here a hot mess at 645 and they had me out by 7 with an order for contacts and glasses. They made me feel very welcome and we're quick to help me. I have horrible eyesight and only had a pair of old glasses with me. Kayla helped me pick out a pair that complimented my face. Her manager whose name I'm missing at the moment was also very helpful and accommodating. I'm like -13.50 in my eyes so I know from the beginning I'm going to spent a shitload of money on my eyes. They hooked me up and also hooked me up with a trial pair of contacts too. Go see them. They rock! read more

Not happy with Lenscrafters today. Went to pick up my new glasses last Saturday and found a problem with how the lenses were set into the frame. They said they could fix it, but it had to go to another location that could grind the shape better and it would take 3-4 days. No problem, would be back in a week to pick them up. So today I am here to pick up my glasses and guess what. ....they are not done, as they STILL have to send them to another location to grind the lenses??? So what happened during this past week??? Not a happy camper right now. But they are working to get then done by tomorrow, so at least they are working to make it right. read more

Until a month ago, I would have given this place 4 or even 5 stars... and until a month less one phone call ago I probably would have given it 2 ...maybe 3. But no, now you get 1 star, Lens Crafters in Redondo. It all started when a new doc gave me a new kind of contact lens... even after a 10 year history and my job and everything about my life definitely suggests I needed to stick with the 30 day (she put me on the ones that have to be taken out every night -- I don't know, are they getting a rebate or something?). They weren't working out. I called Lens Crafters and asked if I could use my prescription and get my old brand instead. The manager said no, that my contacts prescription had been "finalized" (even though the rx was valid...) and that I would have to come in for a $25 appointment before they would sell me another brand. This didn't seem right to me. So I called back about 10 minutes later. I asked whoever answered the phone to fax me a copy of my prescription. She gave me so much attitude and (I swear) pretended to write my fax number down. She never faxed me my prescription and never got back to me. Thankfully, later that day, I was looking through some documents and found my prescription. I took it to an optometrist and - since it is a valid prescription - they gave me a sample pair of my old brand of contacts and I was able to buy a supply. No hassle and NO $25 fee. tldr; When I didn't like Lens Crafters' practice of charging me twice to access my prescription, and I tried to leave as a customer, they withheld my prescription information. read more

Wow looking at some of the negative reviews I was a bit shocked - I thought these guys came pretty close to Be All you Can Be, especially for a big faceless corporate chain. + 1 Star - Parking. Easy and free and lots of it. Also Fedex is next door so you can get some of that junk done while you are in the same parking lot. + 1 Star - Dr. Ngo. I really liked him. Nice, low key, didn't pressure me too much (a little but not a lot) to get the add on test to take the photo of the back of my eyeball. Explained a lot about all the things I need to do to keep my eyes healthy (nutrition, sunglasses, safety glasses during certain activities etc). I felt calm and comfortable around him. When I did have a bit of a prescription, he didn't hard sell me on getting the glasses today. + 1 Star - Front desk staff. I opened with a fellow named Daniel and closed with one named Stephen. Daniel actually even did a bunch of the intro tests (blood pressure, peripheral vision, etc etc). He was very nice, sweet without being flirty, and explained everything to me. Stephen who checked me out explained some discounts I could use to get a better deal, was thorough and nice. - 1 Star - Next appt. I said I didn't want to set one up - so why when I got home was there an email saying I had one set for a year from now? Grrrrr. - 1 Star - Eyeglass frame selection. Yes, a lot of cheap and lower end stuff. But not much high end stuff. Also, many displays had empty spots, making me wonder if they were out of stuff or just lowering their inventory. I thought the folks here, especially Dr. Ngo, were pretty thorough and didn't try to push things on me. I would come here again, at least for the exam, if not for the actual frames. read more

I have been a Lens Crafters customer for years and I will never go back to one because of my experience with this location. On one positive note, I will say that the front office people are very nice BUT Dr. Witkowski is a sorry excuse for an eye doctor. She is very rushed and does not seem to care genuinely about her patients. After I left Lens Crafters, I had to go to a real optometrist and come to find Witkowski had given me a wrong prescription! Oh my gosh, I just walked out of here immediately. The workers just raised their voice at a woman with 3 little children for being a bit loud, nobody was even in there besides a couple of people. To be honest I almost sensed a level of racial profiling, this was embarrassing even for me to be giving them business. I mean these workers (all incredibly frowned and prude women) here are in their late 40's and look extremely unhappy with the fact that they have to work on a holiday weekend but wow... I don't normally write reviews, but I had such a great experience here that I just wanted to let everyone know that this was probably the BEST!!! Lencrafters I have EVER been to. I don't fully understand what is with those negative old reviews, but a friend recommended me to go to this place and it was great! First off, the staff was amazing! I was helped by this girl named Giselle and she was kind and helpful throughout the whole process. I'm an engineer and I normally feel awkward with girls looking into my eyes (haha jk), but she was so professional that I didn't feel one bit nervous. Also when buying glasses, it was really nice that she helped me decide which ones fit and look better with my face shape. Secondly, I get my eyes checked regularly just because "I should", but I've never thought I would run into an optometrist (Dr. Ngo) who actually seemed to genuinely care about my eyes more than myself. He taught me of parts of my eyes that I didn't even know existed! And even showed me examples of warning signs I should be watching for. Dr. Ngo has this relaxed and friendly demeanor which makes you feel comfortable right away. I normally feel nervous in a doctor's office, I had an enjoyable time even when he was staring straight into my eyes. Also Dr. Ngo went to UCLA! Who wouldn't want a doctor from there. Finally, the store was very large, parking was easy, and there were plenty of staff to assist you. Also, the array of glasses selection was very large. I had an appointment and even arrived early, so I was expecting to wait a bit. But since the doctor was free, the staff gladly let me start my appointment early. The only real con of this place would be the drive to get to this location. You have to do a bit of street driving to get here, but TRUST ME the experience was totally worth it! Me and my family purchased glasses from this location. My daughter wanted a pair of the Burberry frame's they were over $400.00 not including the Rx and this was out of pocket because I went out of network. I didn't care about the price. But why have her glasses fallen apart. The Burberry symbol which looks like a piece of plastic has come off both sides, the nose piece has broken off and the frame's have bent. Now this is not a little kid with these glasses my daughter is 19 and knows how to care for her glasses. She's been wearing them since she was 7. I informed them of this wren I went in to get an adjustment on my glasses. The guy behind the desk said just bring them in and we'll do an exchange for a new pair. We bring the glasses in last week, and we're told now that they can't do anything because we didn't get insurance on the glasses. But you didn't say that when I told you about the glasses and it hasn't even been a year since she's had them. Oh and to add the Rx is coming off the lenses. I've never in my life experienced this with any pair of glasses. Note to self I will never go to that place again!!. It seems like you go to the nice area and get the worse. The eye glass place we usually use is to far away and since we moved to the area we decided to go to them. SMH I guess I'll be driving 30 minutes to my old location read more

Each one let me down with their lack of selection and high prices. Cat was able to help me find the perfect pair. I ended up getting my contacts through Dr. Paripatyadar. She made a great recommendation for a new brand (from monthlies to dailies) that really fit my lifestyle and are very comfortable. I am very happy with the Eye Exam of California portion of Lenscrafters (the optometrist side). [My only reason for a 4 rather than 5 stars is because they had quoted a different price for my mother's lenses on the phone than in person. The onsite optometrist botched two prescriptions despite the fact that she was using the latest technology to perform the exam. I echo Brian K's report. The people here ooze sleaze, especially a fellow named Daniel. The staff has a high turnover of assistants and doctors, and they are always trying to upsell, oversell and refer you to other doctors (to get a referral fee?). I wan't happy with the result of my glasses as the left eye lens made me sense a blur, but this Daniel dude wanted to argue and claim that the lens was as prescribed. I asked to see the doctor again, and Daniel said the doctor was busy. I will write to their corporate office about these shysters. read more

My experience at LensCrafters in Redondo Beach has always been excellent. I have been a customer for almost 5 years now. I am about due for an eye exam and just for the heck of it, decided to "Yelp" this particular LensCrafters. So glad that I did. First and foremost, I cannot disagree more with the review written on 3/18/2012 by troy N.t. in its entirety, but more importantly, his misrepresentation of Daniel R. I have recommended many friends and family members to LensCrafters and told them to ask for Daniel. He has always been upfront with me, my friends and relatives. He is proficient when performing pre-tests, has an excellent working knowledge of the brands of frames that are sold there and seems to have a knack of knowing just what style works for each individual customer. He respectfully recommends what he thinks will be good for each customer without being pushy. He has never over promised or under delivered. In addition, Dr. Ngo is also to be commended. His attention to detail and the time he takes to answer any questions you may have is appreciated. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. read more

Worst service, one hand does not know what the other is doing! First appointments for four family members was two weeks ago. They did not call to let us know our glasses were ready. Mis-ordered our contact lenses. Called this morning and hung up on me and then denied calling. Cell phones have caller ID! We are still waiting for contact lenses that were supposedly ordered last weds! Even with insurance we spent over 2k! Only one staff member was competent. The manager/sales supervisor was rude and unprofessional. We will not be returning! I highly recommend anyone to go to another store! Two weeks, four return trips and we still do not have our paid for finish products!!! Terrible store! read more

I've been a Lens Crafters customer for years. I usually purchase two new pair of glasses every couple of years. I recently bought a new pair of sunglasses and reading glasses, total was close to $1200.00. Unfortunately both were too heavy and caused me to have headaches so I stopped by to return them today. Upon arriving, there was one person waiting on a customer. I ask if she was the only person there. She replied yes, and said it would only be a "couple" of minutes. I then replied, Ok as long it's not too long I'm on lunch. Twenty minutes later, and now about four more customers walked in, the sales person finally finishes with the customer who was there when I arrived. after the customer left, She (the sales rep) walked over to the middle counter and started talking to (helping ) someone who walked in behind me. I spoke up of course and once she was done with what ever she was doing she came over with a attitude. She submitted a credit to my account and started to leave even tough when she came over to help me I told her I wanted to replace the old lens in the glasses I purchased last year. I said, Wait...I want lens in these. She ran a price sheet and said to replace the lens in both pair would be almost $900.00. HIGHWAY Robbery!!!! Really??? Really???? I called a company I bought from two years ago and ask them how much to replace the frames in the glasses I'd purchased from them. They quoted me, $279.00 for the exact same prescription. RUN away, Run Away!!! From LensCrafters..OH and The sales rep at LC didn't seem to credit card up before I left. I"m going to write to corporate too!! read more

I was able to get a same day weekend appointment to see a doctor. The exam was quick and easy. The doctor was friendly and explained the exam and the results. Lots of frames to choose from but some of the different color options were not in stock unless ordered. Definitely recommend this location! read more
