I had the most pleasant experience today at the LensCrafters in Torrance, specifically with Tommie! my prescription glasses were damaged and I unfortunately thought I would need to purchase another pair. The place was packed and I was on a time crunch around 1. Tommie approached me and gave me as estimated time before he could attend to me. That was very rare in my experience and truly grateful. He returned shortly, addressed my concern, fixed the frame after going back, and actually made sure all my needs and concerns were fixed. He was pleasant, kind, patient, and understanding. I felt seen and not rushed. I was surprised he was not the manager as you can tell he was genuinely happy to be there and a great addition to the LensCrafters team. Best customer service I have received at any LensCrafters. I was immediately greeted during separate visits and was assisted by the attentive and welcoming staff. The staff was very patient and very informative when I had questions or concerns and I was actually encouraged to take my time to make my choice without any pressure to purchase. Other locations won't even speak to me when I walk in so I was pleasantly surprised. I will keep driving across LA traffic to come back to this location only. I cannot review as far as exam, lens and frames go because I NEVER got that far! I called 3 times and 3 times I was put on hold (the 2nd and 3rd times told it would be just for a short time) and I waited each time for almost 10 minutes!!! they never came back to me! I only called the Torrance location because they are close to where I live, My last exam was with LensCrafters in Century City, Los angeles. Since Torrance can't be bothered to speak with me on the phone, I'll try Warby Parker and see if they want my business. read more

Awful establishment. Everything they do and how they handle customer complaints are all "for profit" focused. My dad has a degenerative disease and he explained why he couldn't return his eyeglass within the 30 days window (whole other long story) despite Dr. Nickolos A Scavo saying he could fix my dad's double vision with glasses even though he had the degenerative disease. The 30 day window merely passed and the sales rep told him "no refunds". I also emailed the manager at the location a week ago with no response. Bet I will be going down there this Friday. If they are still saying "no refunds", Lenscrafter corporate and the Better Business Bureau will be hearing from me. Torrance community is small. Please be more customer centric. read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. My father, who has a rare disease called PSP, purchased eyeglasses here after being assured by Dr. Nickolos A. Scavo that they could help correct his double vision. Unfortunately, the glasses did not help, and when we tried to return them, we were told the 30-day window had expired. Him and his caregiver explained his medical situation and the reason for the delay, but the staff showed no flexibility or empathy whatsoever. The response was simply "no refunds." With his caregiver's help, he even emailed the store manager over a week ago and never received a reply. It's frustrating to see a business prioritize strict policy over human understanding especially when dealing with someone with a medical condition. Customer care should extend beyond a calendar deadline OR AT THE VERY LEAST find a comprisable solution. read more

After having issues with a previous prescription from another provider, the doctor here took the time to properly examine my eyes and explain everything clearly. I was given the correct prescription, and I've been wearing my glasses every day with no dizziness or discomfort. They leave you in hold forever (17 minutes and counting), the website doesn't allow you to book an appointment because it says, "error loading" then are you forced to go back and retry the process. You get stuck in a perpetual loop. What a waste of time and I havn't even stepped into the place. This is on a Sunday at 230 pn approximately. What could take near 20 minutes? I can't think of anything. I think I'm being ignored on purpose. I'll go to Warby Parker down the street instead. I hear great things about them. Lol read more

A little bit above average experience here just because of the great location in the mall. Staff were friendly and helpful. The eye exam also was fine. They have a good selection of frames. The pricing, on the other hand, is high. You could easily walk out of here spending near $1,000, which when you realize is only happening to us because we live in the U.S. it does start to feel like exploitation. Hopefully you have insurance, and they do have some half off promotions and cheaper options. The whole process is also kind of long from exam to completion of your order probably gonna take an hour and a half at least. read more

One of the staff members, William, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and impressively efficient. When I was debating whether to order my contact lenses from Costco, he kindly informed me that LensCrafters offers a price match service--so I placed my order right away! Dr. Kuo, who is only available on weekends, is also someone I truly appreciate. I used to visit a traditional eye doctor, but since I don't have any major eye issues, it's been wonderful to have a place where I can get my annual checkup and order my contacts all in one visit. The weekend availability and extended weekday hours are such a huge help. I also love how convenient everything is--I can shop while waiting, and after my checkup, I can enjoy a meal. I had a really disappointing experience with this LensCrafters location when I tried to reorder my contact lenses over the phone. I initially spoke with an employee named Yuri, who told me I couldn't place an order by phone--even though I've done so in the past. When I asked if the policy had changed, he said he would check and call me back. He eventually called back and confirmed he could place the order after all. I explained that I had been in for an eye exam about a month ago and had only purchased a small supply of lenses since I was planning to get LASIK (which is now no longer an option). Because I have different prescriptions in each eye, I had purchased one 30-pack and one 90-pack. I asked Yuri to confirm what I had previously purchased and help me calculate how many boxes I would need for a six-month supply. He clearly became frustrated with the request, and although he thought he placed me on hold, I was still on the line and overheard him say to someone in the store: "This crazy bitch is making me work." Completely unacceptable behavior from anyone, let alone someone representing a national brand. To make matters worse, I submitted a formal complaint through the corporate website--and the case was automatically closed without any response, follow-up, or resolution. I will not be returning to this store and strongly recommend others take their business elsewhere. If this is how they treat their customers, especially when caught on a hot mic, it speaks volumes about their professionalism and accountability. read more

Rude, condescending staff -- I recommend going to a different location. I recently walked in to purchase a pair of glasses. A staff member made derogatory comments about my vision prescription, refused to provide the wi-fi after I requested it so I could retrieve my requested insurance info, and tried to shame and trick me into purchasing the most expensive option without explaining pricing clearly ($812, down to $512 with promotion, for a spare pair of glasses and no explanation of the pricing breakdown?). The interaction with this one staff member was unpleasant and disrespectful to the point that I left, although the other staff were friendly and helpful. I wonder if the gentleman that I spoke with received any training in customer service or basic decency. Any supervisor should attend to this problem otherwise the location will certainly lose business. read more

Two years in a row for eye exam. This place is located on second floor of Del Amo near Nordstrom. This place is really clean, interior is bright, I love their furnitures and decor. So I am writing this during the covid pandemic. The employees are wearing masks and gloves. There's hand sanitizer throughout the place and I did see the employee wipe the tables and stuff after a customer left their seat. Great job. I had Dr. Kuo today and she was very friendly, energetic, informative, and amazing. She told me she worked for Lenscrafters for 35 years yet she's so energetic and passionate with her career and towards her customer! When she asked me if I had any question, I asked her something related to anatomy/physiology, basically cornea doesn't have blood vessels and breathes from the open air, how does contact lens affect the oxygen supply to the cornea. She explained that contacts are made of silicon and stuff, not plastic and is breathable. She explained to me in depth and she really knows everything! I don't have anything bad to say about this place during my second visit. Exceed my expectations from staff to doctor to the beautiful interior which most people probably overlook. read more

I'm going to be honest, they DO have a good selection of glass eyewear but the MANAGER was rude. She made me feel uncomfortable for some reason. I would try on the glasses (because we can) and in the mirror I could see her right behind me?? I turned around and she would pretend to be looking at her iPad or talking to an employee. I walked to the other side and tried on glasses there, and there she would follow me and be right behind me, staring at me! I could see her in the mirror, I don't know what her deal was ??? She even came up to me and looked annoyed because I was probably trying to much glasses?? My husband got annoyed and we didn't buy anything. I had an appointment for my sister and I. It was our first time at a Lens Crafters location. From the very beginning the service was really good and it only got better and better. My sister needed contacts for the first time for her sweet 16. We went with VERY little lead time as her event is in a week and she walked out with contacts on and ready to go for her event! The doctor made it a priority to get her some contacts for that day! While they were teaching her how to put her contacts on, I was choosing glasses for myself and I love how accommodating my technician was in helping me choose a good pair for myself! She was very welcoming and super easy to talk to! I am very picky with my glasses but we found an amazing pair so fast I ended up buying two!
