Anthony is one individual that will go above the call of duty. My glasses leg had broken off and he was the first person to greet me at the door when the office opened. He said he would take care of it but needed to take appointments first, which more than sense, after the appointments were taken care of he worked on my frames and reattached, and politely told me the eta would change because the hinge was upside down and will take him a little longer to work on it, I said no rush at all. I waited outside office and then decided to walk around, he called me shortly after and said it was finished. When I returned I was ready to pay, but he said it was a free courtesy, which surprised me and gave me a lots of joy the rest of the day. I wasn't expecting it to me free and Anthony to be so nice and professional the entire time. This guy truly deserves respect and credit and a raise for doing the work most people wont. read more

Update: no one responded, called, or try to right the wrong! I used to love this place, but it's changed over the years! I went on October 4th, of this year, for an eye exam and new glasses. However, when they took my blood pressure, it was extremely high, not just a little above the normal, but stroke/heart attack level high; she checked it twice and it was the same. But the optometrist proceeded to conduct the exam, with no regard or concern about my health or blood pressure; and then had me see the person outside to choose some frames. I then discussed my concern with her about my blood pressure being so high and then she shrugged it off also. I had to walk out to go to Kaiser a block away to check myself in and see if I was okay. It's disgusting that they proceeded to make a sale......at the expense of my life! read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Camacho. From the moment I walked in as a new patient, his behavior was completely unprofessional and argumentative. My eyes have been bothering me, and I called ahead to confirm the cost of an exam. Over the phone, Anthony clearly told me it would be $45. However, when I got to the office, Dr. Camacho told me it was $60. I could care less about the cost! I just want to know what is the difference in the exam! He seemed to want to focus on the cost only! He delayed my exam and became very argumentative. When I asked him to explain the difference between the exams, he couldn't provide a clear answer and instead became dismissive. As a patient, especially one seeking relief for ongoing eye issues, I expected better communication and professionalism. It felt as though my concerns were not taken seriously. I was so uncomfortable with his attitude that I ended up requesting to see another doctor. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a respectful and transparent eye care experience. I definitely DO NOT recommend Dr. Camacho. I still needed my eyes examined so Dr. Dang took over and I had a much better visit. Unfortunately, the lasting impression is the first one so I still do not recommend this office if you can avoid it. This has been one of my best experiences at in customer service ever. From the representative that greeted me, to the person that took my initial eye test/exams, they were all amazing and professional. The optometrist, Dr. Ghezal Abdali, was fantastic. She explained everything in detail and took her time to make sure I understood everything without me even asking her to do so. Definitely the best optometrist I've ever been to. The consultant, Abdon, assigned after to help me pick my frames out was terrific. He was a great conversationist, made me feel comfortable, like taking to a friend. He helped me pick out frames that I would have never picked myself and I love them, they ended up being the frames I purchased. Do not go to this location! I ordered new frames with insurance, they had to order it, this was December 2023. Every time I call I never came in so eventually I life happens and 6 months and still no call. I call the manager and they say they have a pair to come in. I send my son to go since it's his frame, again they don't know where the glasses is and turns him away. Now, I go in and ask for the glasses. The manager says my son said he already has it. Why would he be there looking for them if he had them. My son said he never said that to them. They told him they didn't know anything about his order. Do not go here. There was a guy helping my girlfriend and I went because I wanted to buy her glasses for her birthday. She works for Essilor Luxottica which owns sunglasses hut, lenscrafters, etc. and she had a discount and they wouldn't allow me to pay with my card, (understandable, even though my girlfriend and her manager said it could be done) this person I think his name was Alex, he had on prada glasses, said he felt "uncomfortable". Nobody was rude to him nor was anybody getting difficult, but he made a whole scene and made us start the process all over and he made his manager take over because he was "scared" and "uncomfortable". Even the manager looked at him like seriously? and his manager apologized for his rudeness. Anyway, we call another day because they said our glasses got shipped to the store and are ready for pickup, when we specifically paid for shipping to her home but the same employee answered the phone and he had his attitude again and put us on hold and had someone else take the call. To be honest he made us feel so uncomfortable and made buying my girlfriend some new glasses unpleasant. I don't understand what made him uncomfortable to be honest but the fact that he claimed we made him feel uncomfortable and just left us hanging was very weird and unprofessional and he was very hostile. I feel so conflicted writing this review, as I have been going to this LensCrafters for years and have never felt the way I feel about this particular store now. First off, the remodel looks incredible. You almost think you are going to the club, not to an optometrist lol. Secondly, we choose to go to LensCrafters rather than using our health insurance, so we pay completely out of pocket. Our insurance's specialist deductible is so high that using the Eyexam doctor service is extremely competitive and the retail selection of premium frames cannot be beat, so it's simply more convenient and preferable to come to this store for our family's yearly exams, glasses and contact lens needs. That being said, the Eyexam doctors in this office, both Dr. Le, and Dr. Camacho (principal) are kind and capable. The retail area is where we spend the majority of our money and time, and frankly, they are the face of the operation. So I am happy to say that working with Abdon after this last exam was an absolute pleasure. He worked with us on finding not one, but two fabulous premium frames and was patient and knowledgeable. Though we had also had the contact lens exam, I was not prepared to place our order for contacts on the initial visit, but when I came back to pick up the finished frames (which turned out great btw), the young lady that helped us and later, Abdon again, were lovely and helpful, and were able to help us decide to try daily wear (for comfort purposes) lenses in conjunction with the 2 week contacts we are accustomed to. Anyone who wears dailies is painfully aware that they are not cheap so I had done a considerable amount of research on brands and pricing, and Dr. Camacho was accommodating and understanding of our needs and interest in wanting to be able to have prescriptions for both types. So when I came back to pick up the dailies the following week, I was excited and hopeful. It was a Monday morning and I had arranged to go into work late so I could do the pickup. It seemed pretty busy already so I signed in. No problem. I waited about 10 minutes before I was called by Alex. He might have already been having a bad day but he looked all annoyed and asked me who I was picking up contacts for. I explained that I was the mom and no, I was not picking up contacts for myself, just my daughter. He grabbed the contacts and handed me my bag to send me on my way. Since this was the first experience for either me or my daughter with daily wear lenses, I asked if there were any special instructions for use or care. He smugly said nope you just wear them and throw them away. I hate to say this, but I wore contacts for about 25 years before I had Lasik and my daughter for about 8 years now, so that just sounded too easy; and to be fair, his delivery was terribly patronizing for a life-long glasses/contact wearer so I feel justified in my response. I proceeded to ask a few more questions about lens care. Again he just repeated the same exact phrase and his face got more annoyed... he was condescending and rude and made me feel like a scolded child who was wasting his time. Typically, I love getting glasses and spend a crapton of money there getting what I want and need for my family and to have this guy make me want to never go back is super sad. I always walk out of LensCrafters feeling good and optimistic (albeit much poorer, lol) and now I have to find a new store. Sucks. read more

I'm trying to understand why I am so upset. It's because when I got ready to pick up my daughters glasses I was told I still needed to pay $75 more dollars for my daughters glasses. I was explained that it was a contact fee $75. I don't haggle, but I don't like being given extra fees after I already paid $301. I realized that the last time I got new glasses was three years ago. They've been through a car accident, stepped on and slept on all night multiple times. I went in to lenscrafters (where I got my last pair) and I couldn't have left happier. The doctor was super cool and got my vision to 20/15! Everyone was super polite and I didn't wait long at all. The experience here is great but what really made the experience something to write a review about is Kimberly. She's a manager there and was one of the sweetest people I have met in a long time. The whole time she spent with me was amazing. I am extremely picky and stubborn and I took WAY too long to pick a pair I liked but she was there with me the whole time. I can't thank her enough for being as wonderful as she is. I have referred more people than I can count to go to lenscrafters because I have never had a bad experience here. One last important thing!!! Please Please Please get a warranty for your glasses! $25 and you'll get brand new frames if something happens. I stepped on mine less than a week after I got them. I walked in, payed $25, they popped my lenses into the new frames and I walked out. That fast! Lenses will take a little longer but those are $25 dollars to replace too. After paying over $400 dollars on glasses, $50 for a complete new pair is piece of mind that I can't recommend enough. Again thank you Kimberly for everything! :) read more

Terrible service the entire appointment. DO NOT COME HERE. WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY. 1.)As soon as I speak with the receptionist the first thing she asks about was why I wasn't able to pick up her call two minutes "did you forget your phone?" Karen's kind and patient assistance was indeed welcoming and most helpful. After speaking with Karen, I went into the Tyler Mall store where I was immediately greeted and serviced by Andrew. I was most impressed by his magnetic personality and even more by his extremely patient and generous persistence in delivering a most satisfactory outcome. Please to not waste your time with LensCrafters. I went to this location after having problems with another one. The last location had me waiting over an hour to say I was not insured so they rescheduled for the next day but called to tell me they could not find my insurance. Come to find out they were calling the wrong company that's why we could not be found. So I rescheduled at a different location. Unfortunately I was slightly behind because there was an accident and a drive that should have taken 30min turned into 55mins. I called on the way and the man on the phone was so rude. I understand there is a policy but there is no need to be so rude from the start. It was actually my teenager who called but she had him on speaker. He was very annoyed when we called to let him know we might be late. At that point we were not sure but wanted to give a courtesy. Well he told my daughter "oh well that might be a problem" in a very condescending way. First that is terrible customer service and second he was talking a a minor like that. I wanted to let him know we would be 10 minutes late. He said "well as long as you can get into the door by the 10 minute grace period if not we will still see you but on a rescheduled visit." I was very shocked with how Terrible the customer service was. When we got there I had my teen run up so she can make the appointment while I quickly parked and ran behind her. She is old enough to fill out all the pre questions plus she has been there before so there should be a file. As I was walking up the man called me and asked "if I was just ready to reschedule." He was very rude again and I told him. I am walking up right now and that I should be there very soon and my daughter was already walking in. Which I know she got into the store because I heard another employee talking to her as I was on the phone with him but as soon as it hit the 11th minute he said "oh well she walked in 11 past and our policy is 10 minutes so she won't be seen sorry". Then hung up on me. My daughter said that she was greeted by another worker right at the 10 minute mark but he said it was at the 11th so there was nothing he could do. I have never been treated with so much disrespect. It felt as if he was going to make any excuse to not have to work. To top it off he told me that they are separate from the doctor and it was the doctor who made the policy and they are ran differently. So I asked to speak with that department. He proceeded to tell me the doctor could not speak with me because she was still with another patient so I would have to wait. So to get this straight I was slightly late and could not be seen even though the doctor was still will another patient past the time I showed up. So if I showed up on time I still would have waited an extra 20 mins. It makes no sense. It felt like he was already annoyed the doctor was behind and put full blame on me. He even proceeded to tell me that was just how it was he missed an orthodontist appointment the other day because he was late so it's just how it is. It was like he suffered and wanted to make us suffer to. I am not sure but the vibe was off and weird from the start. I highly recommend against them. Especially this location. read more

I popped in to find a pair of sunglasses for the summer. I lucked out and LOVED the first pair I tried on! The associate who helped me was really sweet, not pushy. She waited the 5 minutes it took me to get my AAA card for the discount. However... apparently the SKU on my glasses was incorrect. After a couple attempts, she got the Assistant Manager (AM) to come assist. I waited while the AM tried to type in the exact same SKU multiple times, try to find the item online, fo all the things the associate did, sit and stare at the computer screen for a couple minutes, get really stressed the basic ideas weren't working... AM didn't acknowledge me. Standing there. Waiting to purchase the non RX $410 Prada shades. Money in hand. After 25 minutes, I went and sat down. Still, nobody acknowledged me, and still, the AM was visibly highly flustered. 10 minutes later, I walked over to the counter, where AM was still trying to figure out about how to sell the frames. I picked up the sunglasses, entered the model info into the Google... still no acknowledgment from AM... found the frames on Amazon (SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper), clicked order and walked out of the store. Hire better problem solvers. Such a simple situation, I can't believe I waited over 30 minutes for someone to not be able to figure out how to sell me overpriced sunglasses. read more

I realize this location at Tyler is closed and someone did call me to let me know a few weeks ago, which I appreciated. I have been going to this location for years and have always been extremely satisfied. With that said though, I have not heard back. I need to know where my order is. Macy's doesn't have and I can not seem to get anyone on the phone at chino hills. I understand the situation, however, I paid for something that I need and do not have. Who do i need to contact to find my classes and lenses? Adding to post. Maybe coincidence, not sure, however I received two separate calls form two different locations about my orders. This is a complete inconvenience to me. I now have to go out if my way to a farther location to pick up. I know it's not this locations fault they had to close but someone should have fought this some how. Eyes are essential and can not believe we can not get into mall to get to this office. I apologize, I may not return to this location in future due to its location. I have a feeling this Covid-19 issue is the beginning of future issues. You may want to consider moving the location so that you do not have to depend on the mall doors being locked. If you do move, we may continue to stay as patients. They kept a very good eye out for people putting glasses back and remaining very professional. Wish I could rate them differently because they do deserve the 5 stars unlike the doctor there. I've worked with overstressed Doctor before and never have I heard them speak disrespectful to them. If I'm correct I was there to check my eyes to see if I need glasses and etc so why would you ask to look at the same letter you can clearly see me struggling to see what it is. After given the wrong answer you tell me I'm wrong and read the letter off to me like I'm a child. If you do not like your job,fine that's your problem but don't take it out on the patient. Do not come to LensCrafters..... I had a full eye exam back in August 2023. I came back to the store several times, letting them know that even with the prescription I was given my eyes continued hurting. My vision was blurry at times. I even felt nauseous and in both occasions all they did was they swapped out the lenses, stating that it was because they were scratched so Finally 2 weeks in January 2024. I came back to the store again they did another exam and upon them reviewing everything they said that everything I was feeling was because my corrections weren't in the correct place. With That being said, I did have the extended warranty and they were going to replace my lenses after waiting several days for them to send them out to their outside laboratory. I purchased a new frame and they said I have to return the frame that I purchased back in August I don't understand why if the problem Wasn't my frame the problem was the lenses they didn't make my lenses the correct way. Long overdue but this review is twofold and I hope the right people see it. I walked into the mall late November of last year hoping to find a pair of sunglasses for my upcoming vacation. I walked in and was greeted by Eddie (I'm so hoping I have his name right). Anyway Eddie was quick to check in with what I needed and was efficient explaining and asking all the right questions to make sure I was getting the right deal. What really blew me away is that the sunglasses he picked up to check what my insurance covered were exactly what I was looking for. He proceeded to finalize the last details and though he didn't talk much and was wearing a mask he was cordial and efficient. Best customer service thus far. P.S. Now I did say that this review was two fold because I do think he was very handsome. So if anyone knows if he's straight and single, I'd very much like to get in contact with him. She helped me set my appointment in less than 15 mins and even though there was already people there for appointment she made the process run smooth and fast in no time I was getting my eye exam. I was having a hard time finding the perfect clear square glasses and just when I though I looked through every single one he then found me the perfect match . Purchased two previous pair of Persol eye glasses from the Tyler location. They are the closest location to my residence that carries my preferred brand. Dropped off a pair to have them re-lensed and of course their system was down. That's normally not an issue because I didn't need them same day although that is their promise. Returned 5 days later to pick up my glasses and much to my surprise, they still weren't done? Not sure what happened to the slogan "glasses in an hour"?
