LensCrafters at Eastview Mall makes eye care super easy. Their automated scheduling is convenient; they accept most insurances and even sent me a reminder this year. I was able to adjust my appointment date with no hassle. I went on a Tuesday around 3:30--no wait. Checked in, did the usual pre-tests (puff of air, air balloon), and paid \$39 for eye photos instead of dilation. Dr. Ali Khoja was fantastic--he listened closely and finally corrected my astigmatism. I can see clearly for the first time in ages! He also fitted me with trial contact lenses, and I left with a hard copy of my prescription the same day. Highly recommend, especially Dr. Khoja! read more

Let me start by saying that this has been my primary eye care for over 10 years. I have seen each of the doctors here many times and have always had a positive experience with each of them. Dr. Vilasi is definitely my favorite, though. While buying glasses here leaves much to be desired, I cant say enough good things about the doctor's office. I have chronic eye issues and sometimes that means I find myself calling at 10 am when they open and asking for a problem appt asap. I am almost always able to be seen the same day! I can think of maybe 2 times in the last decade when I had to wait until the next day after calling to be seen. It's Hit or Miss with them. When I went in for my very first visit it was okay. The doctor is great, she is very thorough but the sales staff. My goodness... they are Very short with you and it's like trying to get an autograph from a celebrity. My 1st pair of glasses nobody called or email. I had to call for them to say "oh yeah the glasses are here ". I took my son and his glasses were no problem - he got them in 3-4 days. I went back for a 2nd pair for myself and it's been almost two weeks and still no glasses and when I call it's like I'm bothering them, as if they didn't do this to me before. Horrible!!! Went to Lens Crafters and could not get them to get my medical insurance to approve payment for my appointment. I don't blame them totally for that. March Vision is also a culprit. To top it off, If I used my $200 March Vision allowance for eyewear, they would charge me MORE $ than if I purchased not using my $200 allowance. One pair of glasses would have cost me over $900 (Rip Off). I Bought 2 pair online (including Ray Bans with progressive/photochromatic lenses) for $487. Big Thumbs Down to LensCrafters! read more

I ordered a new pair of glasses. I was told the glasses would arrive in about 7-10 days. Surprisingly, the glasses came in 7 days later, but one lens was way off. I returned with a copy of my script (they don't keep copies of your script, but my original script wasn't returned to me) and verified that the left lens parameters were indeed somehow entered wrong. Although the script was only 6 months old, I chose to have another eye exam at their facility to ensure the script would be the latest. Fast forward two weeks later and still no glasses. A call to check on status was answered with "The Lab" hadn't received the new frames, but ETA was the following week. After two more weeks, another call to check on status was once again a delay due to "The Lab" having unknown issues with no ETA. In spite of the fantastic price with insurance on the latest adaptive lenses, I opted to cancel the order for a full refund. Unfortunately, since Lenscrafters stopped making lenses at their facilities and farm out the activity to a third party, the integrity of the operation has definitely gone downhill. read more

The cadillac of optometry and glasses! About 20 years ago, I was a patient of Dr. Graneiro. He was always helpful and personable. The staff at Lenscrafters was just great. The fact they stayed there a long time shows they were well treated , too. When I got trifocals, the glasses were so expensive I went to another provider that my insurance covered. They were good for those 20 years. Until they weren't. I could afford to go back to Lenscrafters and Dr. Graneiro even if it wasn't fully covered by insurance. **What a difference!** The doctors are first rate, checking overall health of eyes carefully and working to get the best prescription. The staff of the optometrist and of Lens Crafters are both tremendously helpful. Martha suggested ways of cleaning glasses that I'd never heard at the other provider. Waiting areas were far more comfortable. The two staff members I asked had been there more than 9 years -- showing the staff is well treated. If your insurance doesn't cover glasses fully at Lenscrafters, you'll get better care and come away relaxed if you can afford to pay some out of pocket. I used to come here for years when it was run by Dr. V. Graniero. I had good experiences back then. Under the new management, I was incredibly disappointed. Some of the staff try their best, although some of them come across as arrogant. Maybe they are just disgruntled. But I felt completely unlistened to by the primary doctor, who spoke like a sales rep rather than a doctor. I feel she never really listened to me, and gave me a prescription that was terrible. I had to go back once to have the whole thing re-done. And it's still grossly inadequate but I am tired of dealing with them. I will never use them again. Good riddance. read more

Very poor customer service. The blonde lady at the register was terribly rude and ill mannered to customers. It was not that busy and people were friendly and polite (customers and staff actually helping customers); only about 5 people in line and her responses to simple questions from several people in front of me were smug and condescending...arrogant attitude...I left the store having no desire to deal with her. read more

Very taken back on a comment that was made towards a family today while visiting the LensCrafters Marketplace location. My family member currently has locs but when asked for an ID and noticing straightened relaxed hair, made a comment asking "what happened". This is totally unacceptable and was extremely upsetting. At such a time like this at that! After asking this employee what did he mean, of course he then apologized. Getting an eye exam is a painfree process here, you walk in, get checked in and they have been ON time/scheduled the last few years I have gone. Doctor G. is friendly and thorough and the whole exam doesn't take too long - they even have a non eye drop option for dilation that allows you to drive after and they have upgraded all their technology for the exam, making the process more digital. As far as looking for lenses, there are A LOT of options. Mike W was EXTREMELY helpful and educated me on the different numbers on the sides of the glasses - width, nose bridge, and length, and helped me find "my numbers" for my face and even explained why my current glasses probably annoy me. He was honest, and not looking to force me into a pair, but educate me and let me leave without pressuring me to buy. HIGHLY SUGGEST having Mike help you or the nice gentlemen with pink hair. Worst customer service I have seen in a long time. Had an emergency during Covid. No way to leave a message for the Dr. even though their voicemail says press 2 to leave a message in an emergency....!! Gave them the benefit of the doubt, 3 weeks later and still noone is there to answer the phone, my eye doctor has been open for 3 weeks. Noone answering there phone, no voicemail, corporate says they can't help. Dr. Vincent Graniero's location at Marketplace Mall way to leave your clients high and dry. Just so you know my daughter has a headache everyday because she doesn't have the prescription she needs to order contacts and is trying to make due with old glasses. Would have been a simple email sent with her prescription and we could have ordered online but because you don't even have someone fielding your calls.... With technology today having a voicemail set up and having an admin. fielding calls and request from a remote location during this time is very simple. Great customer service, NOT!!! But you somehow processed the payment to my insurance company so my daughter can't even go local and get her prescription renewed. If you are thinking about going here, run away!! Went in today to get a pair of new glasses. I also needed a form for the DMV to renew my license. The receptionists were a little cold, but everyone else I dealt with was super helpful and pleasant. Andrea was the young woman who did my preliminary exams, and I found her delightful, patient, and kind. She was very professional and knowledgeable for her age - I strongly suggest asking for her when you visit! My doctor (pardon, I do not recall her name unfortunately) was also very kind, professional, cheerful, and understanding. I have a rare eye disorder and have had the unfortunate experience of visiting optometrists who had no idea what the disorder was - yikes! She noticed my astigmatism right away and could tell which eyes were effected by which disorder (I have several) - the prescription she assigned me is perfect! Dan helped me fit my frames and he was very sweet and took the time to explain all of my options. Usually eyeglasses places want for you to buy the most expensive items on the shelf but after he explained my choices, the pros and cons of each, and I still wanted to go with my usual choice, he was still as cheerful and pleasant as before. I chose to get my glasses in the "about an hour" timeframe which wound up being about four hours. This was okay with me because my eyes had been dilated for the examination and I didn't feel safe driving home. However, after the lenses had been made incorrectly not once, but two times, I think that most customers would become very angry, especially if they are told that there are new technicians making the errors - for example, they actually SWITCHED the prescriptions so that my left eye had the right eyes prescription and vice-verse - whooooaaa nelly!! I am very satisfied with the customer service until that point, and so I would go back, but I also was thinking to myself, "I've spent more time in the mall today than I have in my entire life...I've been waiting for my glasses for well beyond the 'about an hour' time frame - shouldn't I get some free glasses cleaner or something? A discount on my glasses?" I would definitely return here, but I think a lot of people would never come back after an experience like this. read more
