A very good experience and excellent customer service. The location is in the St. Louis Galleria Mall on the second floor. Signage is excellent. When my son was looking for a new pair of glasses, he started here. He already had his prescription and wanted to look over frames. They have a wide selection and was really surprised how good it actually was. Service really stood out to me on the time the employee spent with my son looking at different frames. Ultimately, he decided to purchase elsewhere, but it was an extremely good experience service wise. The price point I felt was affordable considering these days optometry services have skyrocketed. Who knows in the future with my son living in St. Louis if he may return, but there was nothing negative whatsoever about our visit. He was treated very well and I would recommend. read more

I walked in with a busted pair of ray bans glasses. Missing a nose piece (very specific attachment design) that I couldn't find anywhere. The team was super nice, helpful and within 10 minutes I walked out with the same pair but they felt like NEW. Fully repaired, cleaned and tightened. read more

This LensCrafters is not what it use to be. I feel bad that I have to take a star away from them, but the customer service has declined on my last visit. Prior visits the sales associates were hustling and bustling helping you find the perfect frame. Now, they just sit at their desk or stand around and talk to each other. After I made my selection, all by myself, her attitude was condescending as she checked me out. Don't talk down to your customer, we're why you have a job and are there working. I also saw a difference in the quality of frames that were on display. I know Luxottica owns LensCrafters and many of the brands they offer in the store. So it was disappointing to see a drop in the product quality. When my glasses were ready and I came in to pick them up, the service wasn't much better. They handed them to me and asked if I could see clearly. I was so tempted to say, "Yes, I can see I will not be coming back here for future frames." Seriously, they truly did deserve a 2 Star rating, but I like Antoine Eye Care that is attached to the store. That is why I only dropped them to a 3 Star rating. In the future, I get my eyes checked at Antoine and take my prescription somewhere else. read more

Got a ray bans wayfarer with transition lens. The employees were quick to serve. They adjusted the glasses and made sure everything fit correctly before I left. Only negative I would say was, the card machine was down so I had to get cash from ATM. They also have a system to send a text when your product was ready. So that was cool. read more

I was shopping at West County Mall last week , visiting from Columbia ,MO. I got a piece of "fuzz" in my eye and couldn't see it or get it out when i removed my contact. I did'nt have any saline rinse and sent into Lenscrafters store to ask for some saline to by. Alec was the person working and he helped me rinse my eye and contact and together were about to see and remove the lint from my eye. It was such an immediate relief. I didn't expect to thoroughly enjoy my eye exam. Who would? But everyone I encountered at this LensCrafters was so kind, accommodating and made a point to connect with me and make my experience as smooth as possible. I had never used my vision coverage until this visit, and my HR department said I would need to pay in full out of pocket and then submit for reimbursement. I told this to the front desk, but they still took the time to scour my medical insurance website, found the vision details and were able to honor all the insurance rates, saving me lots of money upfront. I don't recall her name, but the woman who did the first set of tests was so warm and genuine. It was a pleasure to get to know her, even if just for a few minutes. And the doctor made a point to walk me through all the pictures, explaining what I was seeing in plain English in a way no other doctor has taken the time to do with me at an eye exam. I was able to walk away with a year's worth of contacts with a large mail-in rebate and an extra travel size contact lens solution. Like I always do I waited until I used my last pair of contacts and needed a yearly eye exam to get more. I don't have a set eye doctor or place I go to so I stopped in here by suggestion from a coworker and was definitely impressed. Another thing I don't do? Appointments. I hate having time restraints and commitments. So I made this place my first stop when I got to the Galleria. Figuring they'd tell me to come back in a hour, I was planning my plan of attack for shopping when I walked in and asked for an appointment. There were two people signed in before me so they said they'd work me in and gave me paperwork to fill out. I expected to be waiting for a while but as soon as I took my paperwork back up to the desk and they made a copy of my insurance card, I was called back to start the eye exam. From start to finish it took me about 45 minutes and I was shocked. They didn't have my contacts in stock so they said they would order them. I figured it would be at least a week before the came in but I received a call the NEXT day to tell me they were in!! Crazy. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an eye exam. I've had my glasses a little over a month. I dropped them, and now the arm is broken. Your optician said they were unfixable. Because I didn't purchase the warranty, which I don't even remember being offered, they wouldn't replace the frames. So now I can't wear my nearly $600 of pair glasses. My son needed glasses badly. My job doesn't offer us immediate vision coverage but they did give us the fsa visa card. I scheduled his appt. online and was sent a few reminders before the appt. date. When we got there, the wait wasn't long at all. The staff was very friendly from check-in up until we picked up his glasses an hr later. They accepted the Visa FSA so I didn't come out of pocket for anything and My 9 yr old was very happy with his glasses. I will be going back for my pair very soon. read more

They made me use a star I would not have even given them that. The Doctor was cold, and I find out a year later my prescription has been wrong all this time. The selection of frames wasn't the best to start with. I will say the Doctors staff were friendly and very sweet even if the doctor was not even nice. The gentleman who fitted my new frames was awful I had to go back several times just to keep them on my face. Also, I just got back from Clarkson eye care and with more expensive frames it was $400.00 less expensive. read more

My issue is with the lenses I bought here about a year ago. Basically, they were extremely hard to keep clean and it was steadily getting worse. I went in to see about getting some new lenses to fix the issue. Immediately, both of the employees I showed my glasses to said, "It's because you have the standard anti-reflective coating. I can tell just by looking at them. People really complain about it. I never recommend it." That was surprising to me, because I told the sales person I bought them from that I wanted the top of the line option, and the standard option is, well, standard. In any case, it cost me over $225 to replace lenses that should have had plenty of life left in them. I was given a small discount, but no where near enough to make up for the added expense. When I was picking up my new lenses (which had an issue and had to be redone), a third employee commented about how bad the standard anti-reflective treatment was and said he never recommended it, totally unsolicited by me. My question is: If the product sucks, why is it being sold? I'm not sure how I ended up with bad lenses to begin with, or why I'm the one footing the bill. Replacing my lenses would have been the right thing to do. Update: Went back again and my new-new lenses were damaged as well...In the exact same place as the first pair...Too bad I didn't notice until after I left...I returned later for a refund and left the store with empty frames. Having gone from dirty lenses to no lenses, I wrote to the corporate office, explained the whole ordeal and was told this morning they would replace my lenses at no cost. Just picked them up and they look good. It took 5 trips and several complaints, but they eventually did the right thing and got the lenses right as well. read more

Cleaned my glasses one evening and the nose pad fell off. Next day went to LensCrafters to have the pad replaced. The nice person (I think the manager) took my glasses with a huge smile and said it would just take a moment. Moments later, he popped in the nosepad, cleaned my glasses and I was satisfied and turned to delightfully go on my way. I am a VERY happy customer. BTW: I had purchased my glasses here, but the nosepad was replaced with no questions asked. Service with a smile! read more

Today, 02/22/2016, I had an appointment at 6:00PM. I signed in at 5:55 PM. Tara checked me in. By 6:20PM I had already filled out the form and verified my insurance and I found myself waiting for the next step. By 6:30PM, Tara leaves. Teresa takes me to a room and does eye tests in 4 different machines. Back to the waiting area. Teresa leaves for the day. By 6:45PM, someone else, no name tag, takes me to Dr. Blatt / Glatt's room. Closes the door, and I waited 10 minutes to no avail. When, I am leaving at 6:55PM without Dr Blatt / Glatt not having shown up, Tina, tells me the doctor is ready. By then, several people that came after me, had finished and gone. I told Tina, I did not understand why it took 1 hour of waiting with appointment and no doctor service. Nobody apologized. Tina did not go and searched for the doctor to explain the tremendous inefficiency of the service. These are the facts. read more
