So thanks to Dr. Sterczek, he got my prescription completely wrong. I live right by Woodfield and decided to go there per my doctor for my migraines. He got me in the chair stating I have an astigmatism in both eyes and my powers in my eyes are the same, which my whole lifetime of having contacts I've never had an astigmatism in both eyes nor have they ever been the same power. When I questioned him he said he was very sure. When I called the office after receiving my contact lenses there seemed to be a mix up of my information where they couldn't tell me exactly what my prescription was. So I said screw it and drove back to Lens crafter at old orchard with Dr. Pete, as always he did a fabulous job and gave me a comfortable set of lens. I could see again and my headaches went away. My prescription didn't match what Dr. Sterczek said it was it was completely wrong. What a waste of time and money. Avoid this place, they very clearly do not care. read more

I have been nothing but PLEASED with the service I have received from this LensCrafters. I started at a different LensCrafters and was so dissatisfied that I returned the glasses within the 30-day guarantee timeframe...no problem there. After waiting about a month I started over with the LensCrafters in Schaumburg as it was time for my yearly eye exam. Dr. Pak was excellent to work with, as was Addie, who did some of the initial eye tests and was SO helpful with selecting frames. Again, I was not happy with the glasses after wearing them for about 2 weeks...fitting problem. They, and specifically Addie, were so accommodating in helping me find a pair that would fit better. When the new glasses came in, Addie was not in, but Pritesh continued the excellent service. I couldn't be happier and would definitely return to this LensCrafters store at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg!! read more

Booked a 6:40pm appointment, arrived 3 minutes early, filled out the new client form, was asked to have a seat, choose to browse frames, found a nice pair of Ray Bans, and sat down. At 710pm, I gave up waiting to be taken in for my appointment, then left after telling the girl at the counter I was not willing to any longer. "Would you like to speak to the manager?" No, I've waited long enough and missed having dinner with my husband for the appointment 30 minutes earlier. I left, disappointed and hungry. I will not go back to this merchant. read more

Three stars for a great staff and a great optometrist. But the lab where they get their stuff is horrible, bent and crooked frames. When asked if they can just order the frames brand new from corporate for me they told me it is discontinued but other stores said they are able too. I've bought from Warby Parker many times with way better quality. For the price it is not worth going here. Only reason I even went through this trouble is because I have eyemed which is owned by the same parent company as LensCrafters so I am limited on what is in network. You are better off going somewhere else for glasses. Anything else like eye exam and contacts I would recommend. read more

Was very disappointed by my last visit at Lens Crafters in Woodfield Mall. Inconsistent pricing! Was quoted one dollar amount when I mentioned this was about double as previous prescription for same Rx, as we were replacing the man said " what price did I say to you" . If you are honest and the price is always the same you do not have to ask the customer what price you originally quoted. Lady manager is very nice but a few dishonest employees are driving customers away with their greed. read more

This review is to recognize the outstanding clinical skills of Optometrist Dr. Pak at Lenscrafters inside Woodfield Mall. I have been a patient of Dr Pak for about 5 years. Since I was a child going to the Optometrist would always put me into a "mini" panic mode but not with Dr. Pak he's the only Optometrist that I look forward to my eye exam. When I go see him it's a good feeling I'm not panicked I'm not stressed out. He has a way of making the entire eye exam fun and its also educational because he gives you information about your eyes and puts it in laymen terms with examples. You can ask him questions he's patient and kind. I fully endorse Dr Pak as an extraordinary Optometrist and because of the outstanding care he consistently gives me I will follow him anywhere he goes. I don't know how long he'll be at LensCrafters but if he were to leave there I will follow him as long as he's in the state of Illinois. read more

Absolutely disgusting service. Lenses developed white spots after 14 months. Useless $480 worth of glasses. Was using standard B&L cleaning products which I showed them. To add insult to injury, the "manager", said that I need a new exam as my prescription has expired (14 months old). So this joker wants me to pay for replacement glasses and get a new exam? Walked out. Never will spend a dime in this joke of a store. read more

They have a very lazy and unprofessional staff. When I walked in today, I was the only customer in the store with 3 employees working. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted however it took 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me. The employees were goofing around trying on different pairs of glasses themselves and making fun of the ugly frames. I wasn't even able to purchase the glasses I wanted because their system was down. When I asked what I could do as an alternative they suggested nothing. They didn't thank me for stopping in or even say goodbye. They just laughed as I walked out. I was very impressed with this LensCrafters. When I called to make an appointment they were able to fit me in early in the morning next day. The staff were all very nice and helpful, the doctor was EXTREMELY thorough, and I was able to pick up my new glasses within an hour of the appointment. I always experience bouts of anxiety when visiting optometrists, but I felt very at ease during my exams. I have no complaints about my experience here and will definitely be going again for my next pair! read more

My sister bought a pair of prescription sunglasses from another store just over a year ago. The lenses were obviously very cheap because they were scratched severely to the point where she couldn't use them. She went into this store and was told they couldn't help because all the stores are corporate-owned and there's no interconnection. After a little persuasion, they were able to contact the original store and asked to have her prescription sent over. After waiting for over half an hour, they came back to say her prescription had expired and they therefore could not do anything for her! So here she is stuck with an expensive pair of USELESS glasses and they offered no help (she is visiting from out of the country and didn't have time for a new eye exam - she was willing to pay to have them repaired and they refused)! And to top it off, the employee gave her a very sarcastic: "have a nice day!" as we left! I have been to this store on numerous occasions and always refer people but that's it for me! The callous, uncaring, arrogant attitudes are way too much for me! I will not be back and I will warn others away! read more

The frames on my regular glasses broke, so I needed a quick replacement and Lenscrafters was indeed quick. Downhill from there in terms of choice of frames (very limited to a few manufacturers and many frames seemed similar) and fitting as others have noted. The frame prices were OK, but hardly inexpensive, but the lenses seemed extraordinarily expensive. I selected a lower-end frame, but the total without an examination came to $500 even with a supposed 40% reduction off the lenses. They lost me as a customer when being fitted for the frame; even though the store manager was attempting to get the frames not to be tilted and tighter, it didn't happen. She said that was the best she could do. I had to get to work, so left with them and went to the terrific Lenscrafters on Michigan Avenue @ Lake Street in downtown Chicago near where I live and the staff there fitted them perfectly. Frankly, I've never been impressed with the service at most stores in malls like Woodfield, but for half-a-grand, I'd expect a bit more. Bottom line: look elsewhere from this particular outlet. read more
