Every employee I met there greeted me with friendliness. My eye exam was thorough. When I needed to choose new glasses, the young lady who helped me was informed and helped me based on what frame, lenses and style would suit my needs and face shape. A great experience. I would avoid this office. I went here for a little over a year without any issues. However I left because the couple times I got Dr. Nuccio, I felt trapped in political conversations. Dr. Nuccio would make pro-Trump statements and force his political views in conversation while you are in the chair. The one time I asked to shift the conversation, he asked if I was a "liberal snowflake". No way to escape these conversations except to avoid this business like I am doing. I am giving two stars instead of one because if you can avoid being seen by Dr. Nuccio the rest of the office isn't bad. read more

Wonderful practice. Everyone was so welcoming to me as a new patient. Dr. Blinstrip was thorough in my eye exam. Explained in detail how progressive lenses work and the benefits of them. Upfront I'd like to say that I never actually went here. But that is because of the first 10 seconds of my phone call with the receptionist. I called and the receptionist was immediately passive and apathetic in the way she said the name of the business. I told her that I would like to schedule a wellness exam, as well as a retinal exam. In response I got a simple, "What?" in the same apathetic tone. I repeated myself, and this time the response was, "Uh, this is an eye doctor, do you want an eye exam??" The disdain and contempt in her voice were appalling, as if I didn't know who I was calling or what I was talking about. Upon hearing that I knew that I would never go here for anything. What a completely unprofessional way to answer the phone and ensure you don't bring in new business. Unbelievable. read more

I have been coming here for glasses for me and my family for more than 2 decades. The doctors are competent and personable. I have a mixed review. I would give 4 stars to the actual doctor I saw who tried to resolve my issue after many attempts. It was the technician who was very rude to the point of sighing and outwardly showing her disgust that my glasses issue was ongoing. I ended up having to buy the exact frame myself from the internet to have old lens inserted to see well. Since the new prescription could not be replicated in my new glasses, I basically paid twice for resolving my own issue and paying for a new pair of glasses I will not use. read more

I went in for an eye exam for the first time in 10+ years. I didn't have to wait and they took me on time. I was happy with the front desk service and my exam with Dr.B. It was nice to see that they had a Groupon for the eye exam. It enticed me to come in sooner than I would have to get my eyes checked. read more

I had to change eye doctors because previous doctor changed no longer takes VSP. I chose Dr. Nuccio's office because he's close to where I live in Bloomingdale. I was very satisfied with their customer service and manner. Dr B. even corrected my contact lens RX that I had been wearing. I'm so glad that I made the switch. Everyone is very nice! read more

Me and my family have been patients at nuccio's optometrist for years .. The receptionist are very friendly and helpful, opticians are knowledgable about getting what is best for your needs and what works best with your insurance. Dr. Blinstrup and Dr. Nuccio are the best at eye care and they have been practicing together for decades. The office always have a wide selection for glasses, from trendy to classic looks at good prices . Their hours/appointments are very accommodating to people that work the 9-5 or are in school. My family and I trust this optometrist office and would never go anywhere else . Keep up the good work! read more

I went to see Dr. Nuccio after not having been to an optometrist in more than 2 years. He did a great job of examining my eyes and determining which lenses I needed. My son was also examined and Dr. Nuccio did a great job with him as well. I purchased a set of new lenses for my existing frames, and also a second pair for computer work. I have been coming here with my two boy's and was always well taken care of. They care about your experience and take the time to do a proper eye exam and they have a wonderful staff who are very helpful and will make sure you have what you need! Both doctors have a great way of connecting with their patients, and they have a great attitude! I also was so thankful when Dr. Nuccio was there for me when I had a bad eye infection! He left an event from the city of Chicago to meet my family and I after office hours, and took care of my left eye, that is when I also knew he was a doctor that is committed to his patients. read more

Love Dr. Nuccio!! I've been going to him for 20+ years and he is the best. I've tried to save a buck by going else where but I always find myself coming back here. They might be a little pricy, but you get what you pay for. You can take your prescription elsewhere to get glasses if you want but I believe contacts must be purchased from them. read more

Would not recommend this business - the employees are not very knowledgable or friendly. They messed up my glasses so bad that my insurance offered to pay for a new pair of frames and lenses for me. They are now selling an AmazonLocal deal for services, which prompted me to write this review. Even at a discounted price, I would not go here and trust them with my vision. read more

I was a new patient last year. I have a new insurance this year. When I called to make an appointment, they claimed they never heard of the insurance (it is one of the largest insurance carriers aside from BCBS). After researching with the carrier (VSP), I determined that Nuccio does accept that insurance. Not only were they ignorant of the insurance they accept, they were ignorant and rude to me on the phone. Also, last year, Nuccio's wife insisted on staring at me while I tried on my contacts. I told her she was making me nervous. I'm 51. I can manage putting on contacts without an audience. Doctor prescribed very expensive unnecessary bi-focal lenses when distance lenses and reading glasses would have been more economical. Office is very inconvenient to get to. Lunch hour is 2 hours? Really? How do I get that gig? read more

We are fairly new to going here but I have to say I'm not to happy with a particular receptionist. my daughter called on Thursday September 28th to make an apt. for her eye exam and they scheduled her for Friday, didn't say the date so my daughter asked this Friday and she said yes, she goes in the next day being that IS this Friday and the receptionist turned her away saying, your apt. is next Friday the 6th. ( with Attitude) My daughter goes in today and I couldn't be more disappointed to hear that the same receptionist gave her attitude when my daughter asked her if there was going to be a charge and she said, I don't know, I don't have your file in front of me. Not sure WHY you would treat your customers like that??? is it because she's 18?? or are you having a bad day??? or do you not like your job because let me tell you something, when I come in with her the next time and I experience what my daughter did, we will take our business somewhere else. I don't know how anyone continues to have a job who acts like that. read more

Went for the first time with my 2 kids eye checkup. Exam lasted only 10 min each, doctor was not very thorough at all and then the glasses were so overpriced! I used 2 voucher (each worth $200 but I paid $40 for through livingsocial) and still had to pay $200/- !! I bought the $40 groupon for an eye exam because I needed new contacts RX. I read the fine print, called the office to double check and they still charged me a $70 "contact fitting fee." When I tried to negotiate, the male and female receptionists behind the counter told me I "should just go somewhere else for my contact prescription." Terrible customer service, rude and unhelpful!!
