When it comes to glasses, I am quite particular. I love me some fancy minimalist and lightweight frames such as Lindberg. They are quite pricey, but in my opinion, so worth it. Not everyone knows how to work with these frames as they are quite delicate. So when I heard Abe works closely with Lindberg and is an authorized retailer for the brand, I was beyond happy. I look forward to meeting Abe and visiting his optical wonderland. I will soon be getting my annual eye exam and will bring my prescription or prescriptions here. Stay tuned.

I also attempted to follow instructions on their website to book an appointment about a week ago and was never followed up with (despite having also called). When I called to ask if I could get my recent exam records transferred to a new location, they stated that they don't do any record transfers over email and only allow folks to come in person to pick up. That doesn't provide a lot of accessibility especially to those who may be unable to travel in to pick up this information, travel far, and in times when most information could be easily shared digitally this was disappointing. When I asked if I could be told the type of appointment and when so I could share with my new location the employee proceeded to say they can't disclose private information over the phone not knowing if I am really who they say I am. I was asked to verify my identity at the beginning of the call with my name and birthday and yet was met with conflicting information? Very confusing and again protocols that feels outdated for servicing folks of different needs and digitally. I don't recommend visiting this office. Please do your research.

To have energy that they have in nyc is uncommon. I was greeted instantly during entry and did not feel stressed out at any point of them working with me making sure I was in good hands. Everyone in all aspects of their positions are doing a wonderful job and I'm not speaking from just my experience but viewing other customer interactions as well. They build proper rapport with people and keeps us coming back. Happy to do business with them and will always recommend others to this location. My exam was done on time by a lady who was friendly and professional. Michael (manager) took care of the rest. With my insurance (EyeMed) the cost for the exam and for the contacts was very reasonable. The prescription was fulfilled by a third party provider and the lense were delivered to my house 4 days later. I will be a return customer!

But it turned out to be some other doctor named Jyostna Jain who checked my eyes. Becky at the reception desk scheduled my tests as soon as I walked in they got the tests done for glasses and lenses. 1. I got to know later that my vision insurance was not covered at that place and they didn't even feel an obligation to let me know before proceeding with the tests. 2. A few weeks into using the prescribed lenses I noticed that something was off and got my eyes checked again and was told the right eyes power was tested incorrectly and there's a lot of difference from previous prescription. So over all I ended up paying $200+ for eye tests and prescription that was not even correct.

Dr. Lambertson has been my optometrist for somewhere between the last 5-10 years. Every visit goes…read moreincredibly well, in that there is almost never a wait to be seen if you have an appointment, and even if there was, his office is literally inside Costco so you could walk around to pass the time. Dr. Lambertson is friendly, and does a pretty much perfect job of making sure you get the right prescription every year. Once you're done with your appointment, Costco sells frames literally right outside the office door so you can literally step outside, hand them your prescription, and then have your frames ordered. It usually takes a couple weeks, but then you can just go and pick them up at costco. The reception staff is incredibly friendly as well, and I will continue to be coming to this office every year.
