Worst experience i have every had! I ordered transitions lenses for my Meta glasses. I ordered sapphire transition lenses and paid for expedited shipping. Website states it would take 14 days to complete the transitions and send them out. I didn't receive my order until 2 MOTHS later! I would like to note that I didn't hound them on how long it took to receive my order. When I did get them They were only the grey transitions and the fitment was awful. I sent them a photo showing the lenses were incorrect. they acted as though I was lying about it even with proof. The lenses also wiggle around in my frames. I did email them and ask for a refund on shipping being they did not meet the deadline promised and they agreed. they offered a 20% discount due to me not being able to send the lenses back as I had already threw my old glasses away and needed them due to working on a computer all day. They sent me a refund but it was short almost $10. I brought this to their attention and they stated they had given me what I was entitled to. I asked for a break down because the math just wasn't mathing but they refused. Please do not buy from this company. Their customer service is trash and they need more training! Besides the long wait my glasses have issues. The entire frame creaks. One lens feel out, both arms creak and just correcting the fit on my face they creak. Worse after several emails to customer service about it not a single response! Called the number listed get a recoding: Due to heavy volume leave your number will call you back. 2 times no return call, So now I have to file a complaint with CC card company. In the past few years I have ordered four pairs of eyeglasses from Lenses RX. I ordered via their website. Everything I have received from them has been perfect and the service was provided without any hassle or hitch. I had placed one order where I was to send them a set of frames to be fit with lenses. For whatever reason, I never got around to sending them the frames. Many many months went by, and when I finally inquired about a refund of my prepayment, they took care of my refund without any argument or difficulty. I for one hold this company in the highest regard, and would recommend it to anyone I know. Dont use this company!!!i sent and paid for new lenses in my silhoutte glasses 29 days ago. there were extra charges for labor and bushings which i paid for. i expected the glasses returned 2 weeks ago. they then sent me a notice my glasses frames were "broken" asking for permission which i gave them. the glasses were sent in a heavy plastic case, no damage was reported on arrival. i made it clear to them before and after i ordered and again upon payment. now after 3.5 weeks they are not responding to requests for tracking information, or for a status update on the glasses construction. no response from last week requests for a status updates! no response via phone or email! the frames were $600 silhoutte frames with a replacement similar frame $800 or more. now im contacting the bank to dispute charges and at least get the $600 credit for lenses i paid for. i am i the only one with this experience? i was aware before i ordered them that they took longer than stated on the website, but i was not expecting this! read more

Upon opening them and inspecting the lenses, I noticed a black mark on the left lens and thought it might've been a marker or some thing. I attempted to wipe it off with the included lens cloth that came with the lenses but it would not go away. I then felt the Lens and could detect something on the outside of the left lens. I am so frustrated. I paid $30 extra for fast shipping b/c my glasses broke and I needed to replace my current frames until my next eye dr. appt. I paid and extra $30 to have express shipping. I ordered on June 23rd. I did not receive my frames until July 5th! I could understand if they needed to put RX lenses in. But, they only had grab the frames and ship them. On top of that the website forces you to pay for $5 clear plastic lenses that you're just going to toss. No way around it. When I asked, on June 29th, where my order was. If you need lenses this is the wrong place. 2 months late in delivering my lenses. 23 emails back and forth with excuses of why the lenses and late - all with promises of delivery in a few days - NEVER happened. The "manager" of CS finally called me - she was rude and out off that she had to talk to me- when I asked her why the order was late with no follow up - she hung up on me. I have some older (expensive!) silhouette frames that I really like and wanted to reuse with my updated prescription. My local optician here in California wanted to charge me almost $400 just replace the lenses - other opticians I checked with wouldn't work on silhouette frames anymore (too delicate and fussy). Anyway, to make a long story short, I tried this company in spite of the bad reviews and I have to say that I had an entirely positive experience. Most of the bungling and back and forth was entirely my fault - I sent them all of the required prescription paperwork etc. and an empty glasses case - I forgot to put the frames in it! They caught my mistake and contacted me promptly and I resent my frames. The glasses that I got back are my accurate prescription including prisms, 1/3 the local price. It was a timely order with great customer service. I'm wondering if many people have a hard time interpreting the prescription they are given in order to get what they want from this company. read more

I'm really surprised that lenses rx has such bad reviews on yelp. I've been using them 1-2 times a year since 2017 and never had any issues. They've always been really responsive when I had any questions or if something needed to be fixed. Recently I decided after a couple of months that I didn't like the lens option I chose since it still made me feel a little dizzy. I reached out to them to see if they would replace it and they said yes! I thought that was really nice since it's been months and they definitely didn't have to do that. I sent my order out and received it back quickly without any issues. I'm pretty paranoid about sending my frames to get the lenses changed but haven't had a problem so far. I purchase insurance through USPS just in case. I recently tried another company and wasn't as thrilled with their customer service and items. Be very careful if you buy from these people. Their lab seems to do a good job making lenses, but in my opinion they can't be trusted! Here's my somewhat long story: I was looking for a specific model of progressive lens (Varilux Physio W3+). They only sell one Physio on their site, but there are about 12 different Physio models out there and they don't specify which one it is, so I emailed them and asked if it was the Physio W3+. They replied that it was. They were offering a 25% discount, which gave me a great price, so I ordered them. Just to be sure, I put a note in my order that referenced the email and said that I was confirming that I was getting the W3+ lenses. When I received my glasses back with the new lenses from LensesRX, there were cards enclosed from the manufacturer verifying that the lenses were in fact Varilux, and that they had a Crizal coating, which is what I ordered, but I wanted to make sure the model I received was the W3+. What many people don't know is that most progressive lenses have tiny engraved markings that identify which manufacturer and model the lens is. The markings are difficult to see, but they're there. If you do a search for "progressive lens identifiers" you'll find information about how to see them, as well as a link to The Vision Council's EPIC database of symbols. So i looked at the identifier markings and found that the lenses were not the Physio W3+ lenses, rather they appeared to be Physio DRx lenses, which don't have the advanced technology that the W3+ lenses have and are significantly less expensive: I'd estimate the price difference to be about $80 based on looking at quite a few web sites. I immediately emailed LensesRX saying that what I received wasn't what I ordered and asking how they wanted to handle the problem.. I didn't get a response, so the following day I called and left a detailed message on their voicemail (they don't take "live" incoming calls; you can only leave a message and they'll return your call). I got no response to my call, so the following day I wrote them a somewhat less pleasant email, saying that I'd rather work out the problem with them than to go to the trouble of filing a dispute with my credit card company. This time they responded. They didn't offer an explanation or offer to replace the DRx lenses with W3+ lenses, but to their credit, they made good on the guarantee on their website and offered to refund my payment and pay for return shipping since I wasn't happy with the lenses, so that's what I did. The lenses are still in transit back to them, but they said the credit will be issued when they receive them. So, other than a lot of aggravation and wasted time, I came out whole. And while the lenses seemed to be well-made with my correct prescription, and I respect them for standing behind their guarantee, they never gave me a believable explanation of why I didn't receive what I ordered. I can't help but wonder if the same thing has happened to other people. If I wasn't aware of the engraved marking system, I never would have known that what I received wasn't what I ordered. Let the buyer beware, as the saying goes. read more

Almost all local opticians are outsourcing their lens work these days, but they don't want to tell you that, and in turn charge you a 300%+ markup. Now you can send your own frames to LensesRX where they will fit lenses for you perfectly, flawlessly, at a fair price, and with the backing of their competent customer service team. I've spoken with them over the phone several times and they know their products inside and out - literally - any questions about index, polarization, or different anti-reflective coatings options are answered kindly and accurately. One time I did notice a *tiny* shipping defect in one of the lenses that they had just cut for me, so they instantly emailed me a return label and I had a perfect replacement back in my hands within 3 business days. Do keep your eye out for generous discount code promotions from their email marketing. :) I've bought over 20 pairs of prescription glasses in 20 years, and I've found that LensesRX's craftsmanship is at the very highest level. The low reviews perplex me since not only are the scripts accurate but the customer service is super. Humans acumtually answer their phones and have been very helpful when I have questions about my orders. often I ask for tints in colours unlisted and they are able to accommodate. Lenserx is a big scam. (example): They increase the base price on the invoice for same amount of discount offered. In reality you're not getting a true discount advertised..They increased the 1.67 high index up grade base price from $50.00 to $120.00 dollars then offer a discount for the same amount. Their competitors offer the same 1.67 high index Lense for only $25.00 (base price) with all the bells & whistles. I wish I found their competitors before I placed my order. I used LensesRX in the past and was happy, so it was time for new sunglasses and I sent them a pair Oakley Crankshaft sunglasses to put prescriptions lenses in. I received them back on 11-20 and the second time I wore them, they fell apart in my hands and I noticed the frames were cut in several places. I contacted them back on 11-23 and they told me to send new frames and the lenses from my original order. I did not have the original lenses, my mistake for throwing them away along with my broken Oakleys. They refused to admit any wrongdoing (I mean there is no other way this could have possibly happened other than them breaking the frames), offered no recompense for the frames that they broke (Oakleys are not cheap!) and had the nerve to charge me for making new glasses. Between the sunglasses, lenses and shipping I am now out $500 and that is not an insignificant amount of money. I had never worn progressive lenses. I ordered a pair after my last eye exam. Painful. I could not get used to them. Eye strain and frustration. LensesRx said, no problem, send them back and we will refund your money or put in alt lenses. I asked to put my old single vision prescription in the frames and LensesRx refunded me the difference. Monopoly is a horrible quality with any company, it leads to bad customer service, work quality and it affects the company in the long term, of course not that they give a f#k about it. You can buy all the warranty offered yet, YOU are responsible for returning the product even when THEY make the prescription wrong or miss to add options you bought. That alone kills the customer returning for service as it happened to me. I now get my lenses done with another company and even though I pay a small amount extra, there is quality guaranteed! And if they make prescription wrong, they send you a return label and fix the problem at no extra cost. That alone won my switching to loyalty with them and my continued business. They "lost" my authentic Gucci sunglasses and case and offered to refund me $40. I sent LensesRX 3 pairs of glasses (reading glasses, Michael Kors sunglasses, Gucci sunglasses with real case). They sent me back 2 out of 3. They didn't return the Gucci pair. They did not include an invoice saying they were still working on them. Just a flyer with promotions and the original invoice I printed myself that I shipped to them. No communication whatsoever about the work they did or didn't do. Just sent 2 of the 3. When I logged into my account in their system to inquire...it automatically said the order was already shipped. Then I had to call, and deal with all of their automated responses. Finally someone emailed back on March 18 and wrote: "We received your messages and apologize for the omission of your Gucci frame from your order shipment! Due to the circumstances, we currently have limited staff in the office, so this is why you are only hearing back from us now, we apologize for the delay. The Gucci frame is still here and we are still working on having lenses made for it, as we did not want to delay the entire order, we opted to ship this out to you separately. Your final pair will be shipping out to you soon!" Then today (March 26) I received this email from LensesRX: "I am sorry for not getting back to you sooner! With everything that is going on in NY we are working with very limited staff right now and response time has been sowed. I expected your Gucci frame to be shipped by now, however due to staff changes we are now unable to find it and started an investigation. At this time the best I can do is provide you with a refund for this portion of the order, and ship the frame to you once it is found." I live in California and they are in NY so they know I can't drive over there and look them in the face. If you, a trusting customer, decide to have them repair your glasses and you fill out the information on their website...notice how they don't ask for the brand? They don't keep track and then "lose" them. But if you have cheaper glasses...you'll get them back I am sure. Sure, call me suspicious and paranoid but those were $800 glasses and now "they can't find them". So they offer me $40 refund until they find them. Do you think I will ever see those glasses again? Maybe on EBAY shipping out of Staten Island or on someone working there looking extra fancy. I promise I will update this review to 5 stars when I receive them. read more
