This was my first time entering a LensCrafters store and let me tell you that it will not be the last. The service that I received from Elizama & Faiza was undoubtedly one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had in my life. Their friendless, patience and willingness to help made me feel welcomed and valued. I am a very indecisive shopper and this was my first time purchasing glasses. I was very lost at first and without these 2 associates assistance, I would not have been able to walk out with a purchase that I LOVED and feeling as great as I did. Getting glasses here is a great idea. A good selection of glasses for all ages. But eye exams take a long time. Staff members seem disinterested when I came in with a prebooked appointment. Not the environment you want from eye care "professionals." A staff who was not working at the time was distracting employees from helping me, mind you 15 minutes after my prebooked exam. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Star should be negative 5. I made an appointment for my 15 yo son to have an eye exam for glasses and contact lenses. When we arrived for our appointment (we both took the day off work so we could make the appointment. We got there 15 min before our appointment time), we were told that the eye doctor does not take our insurance and that someone left us a message telling us this. I'm not calling anyone a liar, but you're lying. Soooo... we rescheduled our appointment for a day with a provider who supposedly TAKES our insurance. Because I was not feeling very confident in that receptionist's ability to schedule a simple eye exam with an eligible provider, I called the morning of the appointment, only to be told, "We left you a message saying that the eye doctor you have an appointment with doesn't take your insurance." DE JA VU. I am calling bull&h!t. The person I talked to gave me absolutely no reassurance, did not apologize for THEIR fuck up, and when I asked for her manager, she said the manager wasn't available. She also said the doctor on Mondays does NOT take our insurance. So why did that receptionist on the original effed up appointment day schedule an appointment with the same provider? Is it me, or are you also confused? Nice customer service. On the day of our ORIGINAL messed up appointment, I gave the receptionist my home phone number as well as my cell number. So, what number are they calling? I love Dr. Hwahn. He is thorough and explains what he is doing and why. However, I cannot and will not see him if his staff continues messing up his schedule. I will pay out of pocket rather than keep going back to this office. *follow up: we got a "sorry we missed you" email the day after our rescheduled appointment even though I was told we couldn't be seen. Dr. Ken Hwahn is the worst optometrist ever!!!!!!!!! He was rude and rushed me like hell. I paid $150 for an eye exam and was in his office for less than 5 minutes. He just took down my previous year's prescription and kicked me out of the office. The Lenscrafters at this location is great but I'll never go there again because of this rude optometrist!!!!!!!! read more

My wife and I both wanted new glasses. We thought we would try Lens Crafters. We realize it's the mall, and it's going to be a bit busy. Here's the experience - One of the associates asked if we needed help. We would ask a question, she would answer it and then walk away. She would come back and ask, "how are you doing". We would ask something else and the same thing would happen. Answer, walk away. This happened several times and we thought it was odd, but we are reasonably patient people. Finally we both decided on some frames. Not the cheap ones. We are probably going to spend more than $1000 since its 3 pairs between us. This same associate is now helping another couple at one of the desks around the store and waves us over and asks us to sit down, says she will be just a minute. We sat and then watched her get up and leave the other couple several times. We then noticed her at the back of the store chatting with another associate, sipping a drink, smiling as it was casual conversation. She still hasn't started any forms or anything with us, or even acknowledge us. So 20 or 30 minutes later she was back talking to the other couple at the desk and the store phone rang. She stopped talking mid sentence to the people right in front of her and answered the phone (there are probably 8 or 10 associates in the store and she is most certainly not the manager). To me this a a huge no-no. We are customers IN the Fricking store about to spend our money. My wife and I look at each other, dropped the 3 sets of high end frames we wanted on the table and walked out. Your loss Lens Crafters. Hire smarter people. read more

I ordered a pair of glasses and lenses here on 12/6/17. On 12/14 I walked into the store to check if my order had come in. I was told no and they would contact me once it arrived. I received a phone call 15 minutes later from this location to inform me my order was in. I walked back to the store to find they couldn't locate my order. After 20 minutes of looking around they finally located it. However the order was incorrect and only had lenses, no frame. I asked to speak to the Store manager, however he was too busy sitting in the backroom. I could clearly see him sitting at a desk in the work shop through the window. I asked for a refund since I do not have time to come back over and over. This location is a hot mess in my opinion from the sales side of things. They apologized however it felt like this type of situation was fairly common. read more

Solved a huge problem for us, we lost our mother's glasses with no way of getting her to be seen and fitted for new ones. Mel and Ashley were able to take my mom's prescription and provide her with a new pair of glasses without any hassle and now they have my business, Ashley and Mel are awesome. I paid about $500 for lenses that are $125 at Costco, but not waiting 10-14 days for eyeglasses was worth the difference to me. Because I was having an unusual effect post-surgery, my Dr. wrote "make same way" on the glasses prescription, but the LC associate showed me three options and couldn't explain the difference among them. I chose the one for which they had blanks on hand, and it turned out alright, but shouldn't HE be choosing the "option," not me? Medicare reimburses about $120 on glasses post-cataract surgery and the associate gave me forms to fill out, which I did and mailed back. A month later, hearing nothing, I called in and they did not have that paperwork; they said it should have been done electronically when I was there. The associate called me back, took down all the info, and at this point I am hoping I will get that money back. I'd still go there if I needed glasses replaced right away, but not for an exam or a regular prescription update. read more

I've now gotten TWO incorrect prescriptions from this group, one of which I lived with for a year before realizing how off it was. The second prescription one was off by so much it was clearly wrong just looking at the numbers and an independent test confirmed the error. When I asked the doctor about this all I got was a lame excuse with no basis in fact, but rather got a sales pitch for purchasing glasses from them ("Don't worry when you purchase your glasses from us we'll make sure they are correct"). I won't be coming back as it appears this group is more interested in selling expensive glasses then getting your vision properly corrected. read more

I'm really surprised to see so many low reviews. I've always had great service here and have always had a great time. I've never had a pair of their glasses break on me and they are alway willing to readjust my glasses. I have found that their signing in process is a load of hooey. The Doc is very friendly and all of his staff are helpful especially with contacts. Anytime my lenses have been on back order or I can't find the frames I want they give me a really reasonable order time and ALWAYS call me when it comes in. Their prices for frames can be pretty high, which is lame, but they often have coupons floating out in the world that apply. read more

He got my prescription wrong, convinced me I needed to get used to the glasses and once I figured out they were too strong, they refused to do anything since it had been too long. He gave me what he called the "minimum" prescription of 1.0 in each eye. My previous glasses were .5 in the left eye and 0 in the right eye. Because I complained of headaches, he just increased my prescription rather than dialing in what I really needed. I am VERY disappointed and don't feel I got personalized attention. The Lenscrafter staff (separate from the doctor's office) was great though. Just go to a different eye doctor than Ken Hwahn. read more

The most expensive glasses I have ever bought ($445.00 with AAA 30% off discount), and when I came to pick them up they did not have photo gray so they had to be remade and I had to pay a additional $108.00, raising the total to $553.00 with a AAA 30% off discount ($77.00 frames and $476.00 for lenses) what a rip off. Sears was running a special 2 for the price of one, and their price was 2/3 of LenseCrafters for 2 pair. When I went to pick-up my expensive glasses the Manager rudely directed me away from the person I had been working with that was not working with a customer at the time to a new employee. The lenscrfters experence made me sick, I should of walked away when my order was wrong and they charged me a extra $108.00 to fix it. read more

They were very rude the entire time I was there. First, the receptionist for the Dr. was very rude and disrespectful. I had to wait for her manager, then once she got there they talked negatively about my organization and myself while I was sitting five feet away. Then once I got to picking frames two hours later they were very detached and lied saying their systems were down. They told me they would let me know when my glasses were available for pick up, but they never called. When I called they told me they were ready and once I got there it was another twenty minute wait dealing with rude sales persons all just waiting for them to hand me my glasses. read more

My review for Optometrists: I had eye exam in this clinic this week. I had prior appointment for this exam. However, I have waited longer than 20 minutes from the scheduled time. They told me that exam costs $80~ and everything will be paid by the insurance. After the exam, the doctor put eye drops on my eyes and asked me to go to reception. The receptionist gave me the prescription and said thanks and bye. After about 30 minutes later, I received a call from the clinic and asked me whether I am around the mall as they need to do another exam. As I have already reached home, I was not able to make this happen. Today, I received a notification from insurance that a claim of $233 of which plan paid $197 per the agreement. I was shocked to see the cost more than 2 times of the agreed cost of $80~ as mentioned earlier. This is not acceptable as no prior notice has been given before billing more than agreed amount. BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE STAFF AS YOU MAY END UP PAYING THE AMOUNT SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER THAN WHAT THEY SAY DURING APPOINTMENT. read more

This review is based solely on the eye exam portion of the store and the terrible customer service I received there. I saw the advertisement on TV for this new way of measuring your eye with this device that basically takes a picture of your eye. Its interesting because it takes a high-def picture of your eye but not any more accurate than a regular eye exam. After countless attempts to try to get a good photograph of my eye she gave up. They were able for me to look at all my nerves in my eye, neat right? NOT! The device or the assistant recommended a stigmatism lens I am not sure who. I reluctantly went with the diagnosis. After having a terrible time trying to put in the contact that they suggest I wear,I endured. I was rushed out of the office like I was holding them up from a prior engagement. I wore the contact for a day with a lot of discomfort and a blurry line of sight. I returned to express my discomfort and to discuss my experience the day prior. What was odd was that I have the best insurance I can get through my company which is the cadillac plan , but they were not a preferred provider so I would have to pay more for there services. I was not happy to say the least. There was another unusual note to this experience. After giving them my current prescription and them diagnosing me with a stigmatism, they actually called AB contacts and eyeglasses to discuss my prescription. I actually returned there and had another eye exam since I was still on there 3 free years of eye exams for $99.The diagnosis was the same as the year prior. CRAZY HUH? Unfortunately I was all in at lenscrafters and had already ordered my contacts through them. I proceeded to pick up my contact lenses and discuss my experience with the manager which could not understand why I was unhappy about the experience. We discussed things and mutually agreed it could have been a better experience considering the $249 price tag associated with eye exam. I left on good terms. I get a call a year later saying that I am due for my annual eye exam. The receptionist or assistant I'm not sure who does what there agree on a time and date for the exam. I ask politely for a reminder call a day prior to the appointment. She agrees. I never received the call. This is like a Seinfeld episode. I arrive 5 minutes early for my appointment. We make eye contact and I have a seat. They ask what I am here for, I answer. I will just say this. It almost seemed like I had a bad mark on my file......HAHAHA. There were two women behind the counter and neither one of them was cordial to say the least. A few minutes go buy and they are talking between one another apparently about my insurance coverage. Let me guess not on the preferred provider list...She then follows with the $249 price tag again. I was not going to go through this again. I proceeded to leave and then thought what did the $249 I gave them last year get me .The annual eye exam she says condescendingly. If you would have let me explain I was going to give you $70 off for being a return customer. OHHH,, That would have been a better start than the unprofessional attitude I received when I walked into the office and heard there comments about the optometrist as he was walking by. I was done to say the least and I am writing this only on my experience. This has to be the most unprofessional unexperienced staff that I have ever met. BEWARE!!!!!!!! if you are trying this business for the first time. Maybe it could possibly be a better experience for you .The whole dog and pony show is neat but give me a old school DOC that can actually diagnose any day of the week. The funny part about the first visit is I got exactly the same contacts that I was prescribed the year prior from AB contacts and eyeglasses. Was that the reason they called them? Avoid this retail location. Stopped in to inquire about getting glasses for my son who is in the Navy and currently deployed. I had his prescription in hand and ready to purchase a pair of glasses or two for him to have for him upon his return. I was abruptly told that she would not let me purchase glasses without him being present, even though I had his current prescription, because they had to measure the lenses? I informed the customer service person that I just purchased glasses the month before at a competing store and they didn't measure my lenses or my face. She said they had to have measured me, I interpreted this as "you are lying". The whole experience was confrontational and I avoid situations like that like the plague so I walked out and they lost a sale plus any future business from me or my family or any friends that ask my opinion about Lenscrafters at Tukwila. The more I thought about the more upset I got at the way this supposed customer service employee made me feel, so I signed up for Yelp to do this review. FYI...last night I purchased 2 pair of glasses at competing store and they did NOT measure my face or the glasses, just used my prescription and placed the order. read more
