I was craving ribs... So I stopped by for a fast lunch. I ordered their ribs, (beef only), coleslaw, and fries with Aioli sauce. They were fresh hot. I must admit I never had Aioli sauce on my freies. It was darn good.The ribs were good and plenty of it. Hot n tender, the way they should be. Coleslaw was good. I always feel Coleslaw is hard to mess up... Their signature BBQ sauce was great on the ribs. My only beef (pardon the pun) here is, I think they are over priced. I think I would've preferred the plain just with salt. It is in a fairly ru down strip mall. It doesn't look like much, but I do think they have put some money in the dining room. The guy working seemed nice and checked on me once or twice when I was eating. Note about soda. There is no fountain, only cans at almost $3 a can. What a fantastic little gem! We have ordered take-out twice now! The smoked chicken is top tier, as are most of the meats. Portions are large and everything we have tasted has been terrific!! I think it's the little things...fresh bread for the sandwiches, sausage in the black beans (which as a Tampa transplant, I can't say enough good things about the black beans) & while we haven't dined in, takeout service has been excellent. Renovations were much needed to this place...much cleaner and welcoming! This man loves what he does and it shows!! I tried to like this place since Uncle Kenny's pulled out, but after three tries I can't give it a thumbs up. Got the brisket plate takeout with side of collard greens and "garlic toast". Way overpriced for the amount of food and not that good. The brisket was tasty but about a third of it was fat. The collards were about half stalk and half leaf and were not cooked long enough, was like eating paper. Found this place by accident. It's inside the Montrose Market with many others. Had the Filet Mignon sandwich and fries and the pork bbq which were both excellent! We love BBQ and have eaten it in some of the best places. While out in Clermont we stumbled upon Leo's by accident and gave it a try. My husband got the pork sandwich and special fries and he ate every bite and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was packed with meat and dripping with good juice from the meat. The fries were crispy and the perfect fried potato color. I got the salad and a side of pork meat. This salad was impressive. It was so fresh and the combo of the dressing and pickled onions and cheese - what a great hit of flavors. Simple salad but I could not stop eating it. I don't know what has been happening in the green's industry lately, I have been weary from picking out slimy and rusty leave's lately, but Leo's has found a supplier who can deliver fresh and crisp lettuce. I was delighted. The pork was delicious and well flavored but my favorite part? No hidden globs of fat. All meat! Whomever prepared the meat took care to remove the fat and make sure it was all meat. This made me a very happy customer! We saw that they are moving soon to the Citrus Tower which will be great because the ambience in the present location was not so great but its obvious they have no control over that as its a shared building. I can't really say much about service or ambience because my order was a DoorDash but to me the fact that it was good portions and looked as good as it did even as a Togo order said something about the customer service. Visiting Florida 5-30-23; Went to Leo's BBQ was told they were out of beef ribs so, I ordered brisket and was told they were sold out of brisket however; "Leo the owner" said oh No we have brisket, I was excited to try it. Five minutes or so later I got my order to go and when I arrived at my destination I opened the box and it was beef bacon WOW what a Disappointed customer I was this was beyond belief!!!!! I don't know what the owner was thinking but, I know the difference beef bacon and brisket, and I was charged for brisket go figure! Leo you LIED to me, as the server said you didn't have anymore brisket and you thought you could get away with serving bacon and get away with it! I do not like to come on here and talk bad about small businesses because I am a small business owner myself, but I feel like I have to share something about this restaurant. So first off when I came inside, I did not know if I needed to order food at the front by the cash register or if it was a sit down restaurant, kind of confusing. Next up, I ordered my food which is pretty simple and easy, and then proceeded to wait for the food to be made. There wasn't many people in the restaurant and yet it still took about 25+ minutes or more to get my food. After waiting all that time, I thought what I was going to be receiving was some freshly made grilled chicken grilled Picanha and sausage but unfortunately, it was very easy to tell that neither of those proteins were cooked made to order. The grilled chicken tasted and felt like the type of chicken that is stored under a flat top grill for a hot sub restaurant - was not fresh. It was barely hot. It seem like they just threw it in the microwave and tossed it in a pan and brought it out to us. For a Brazilian restaurant, I was hoping that the Picanha was going to be fresh but it wasn't - the steak was not grilled to order. The sausage also felt like it was recently warmed up and already cooked. On top of all that as I was sitting down, I had to remind the waiter to grab my food from the window to the kitchen. I was sitting there just looking at my platter on the window sill wondering is that my food if it is when is it going to make it to my table, I had to walk up to the waiter and ask him "hey is that my food." So unfortunately, I went to this place because it was recommended to me but my experience was not a good one. I hope that if you try this place out, you have a better experience than me. I really want to go back and try some of their American BBQ, because what I tried was their Brazilian barbecue platter. The Brazilian barbecue platter was the first thing listed on the menu so I figured it was gonna be a good one and it was also owned by Brazilian people. In conclusion, I hope this restaurant continues to do well and keeps their doors open but it won't be somewhere that I frequent anytime soon. read more

It's also a very generous salad size and leaves me feeling happy and full. The staff are very nice and happy to help. Their menu has a great variety without being overwhelming. I was ignored not just once, but twice by the man running the place, on 2 separate visits. The FIRST time with a friend visiting town. He stood at a table chatting like he wasn't even working, with no one behind the counter, while my friend and I stood at the empty counter wondering if they were open. He glanced over multiple times but said nothing, and it was only when he decided to go behind the counter we even realized he worked there. The SECOND time months later with my husband: we walked up to the counter where there was no line, smiled at the same man sitting there (he just looked at us, no smile, no greeting).
