Every single time I have parties, any type of events, or special occasions I always order from Leo's kitchen. They have amazing trays that you can customized however you want. The sushi rolls are amazing, pretty tasty, fresh, good quality. The staff are super friendly and polite. I always have the best time ordering with them. The ambiance is great. I always place my order through Instagram and when i go in person is ready for pick up. The place is super clean however I have never dine in person.

$20 Poke nachos with barely any toppings

As repeat customer over the last several years I would give Leo's Kitchen 4 stars. The quality of the ingredients is good and the chefs typically come up with tasty and interesting sushi fusion dishes. However, this last meal has an egregious lack of quantity. For $20 the poke nachos had such a small serving of ahi and krab that my family will refrain from eating here in the future. This problem also extends to their sushi rolls. I cannot in good conscience recommend Leo's Kitchen since other similar meals with better proportions can be had elsewhere in the city for less.

Ordered take out from Leo's Kitchen and we were grateful the food didn't disappoint. The items we ordered were: Hot Cheeto roll: spicy crab, cucumber, avocado, covered in hot Cheeto crumbs, spicy mayo, siracha dots - the roll tasted good, but the hot cheeto crumb didn't really add spiciness or enhance the flavor of the roll. SD Roll: cream cheese, avocado, salmon, tempura fried, topped with jalapeño, spicy mayo, siracha dot and eel sauce - we loved the creaminess and how each flavor complimented the other. Tiger roll: cucumber, avocado, crab, shrimp tempura topped with avocado, eel sauce, spicy mayo and sesame seeds - something fried, something sweet and something spicy. What more do you need? OMG roll: cucumber, avocado, crab, shrimp tempura, topped with spicy crab, jalapeño, eel sauce and sesame seeds - simple but still tasty. Kids teriyaki bowl - the teriyaki sauce was balanced, the chicken cooked well and the veggies fresh. We paid roughly $88.60 (with tip). Leo's Kitchen deserves a return visit and next time, we will dine in, especially since staff during pick up was helpful and friendly

A coworker recommended this to me and it never disappoints!! I've gotten the build your own poke bowl, it's so fresh and they are so generous with the fish/sauces. My husband got the lemon cilantro poke bowl and it tasted so delicious and refreshing. I recently threw a dinner party and we got the Platter #8 where you can choose 10 rolls. It was a complete hit and nothing was left behind! Everyone kept asking where it was from. At first I was going to call to order and pick it up but when my coworker said they're quick with delivery, we just took the chance and again, they did not disappoint. Ordered on door dash and it took under 2 hours to receive. Not only that, but it was presented so well. Highly recommended even for a dine in experience or for catering. I will definitely keep ordering from here. :)

I read that as you walk in to this establishment it smells like nasty used deep frying oil, and that was accurate! When I walked in, it was nasty. I almost turned around and walked right out. It was annoying that you also had to ask for the restroom key every time you needed to go.. weird. The service was a little strange too. I felt like I was being waited on by zombies. To top it off the girl mischarged me for some 'Happy Hour' rolls I ordered. We brought it to her attention and she STILL messed it up! I decided not to argue and just paid the $83 Happy Hour meal and left. The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is because the sushi was good. The miso soup had no flavor, and the edamame needed salt.

First impression, it smells like old cooking oil. Mop and broom kept at the front of the store. The server was friendly but slow. She cleaned a table for us right away but then didn't give us menus so I got up to grab them. The sushi was okay. The miso was better than I had expected. The pork belly bento had 3 paper thin slices of pork belly. Shrimp tempura was the frozen boxed type you buy at Costco. Probably won't be returning. Loves Leo's kitchen! We ordered Platter #4 to pick up for a work event that same morning. We were able to pick it up an hour later and everything was fresh and ready go! Pretty much everyone asked where we got it from since it came on a nice round platter and the presentation was nice. Will be going back next time we have an event! read more

My family and I came in for a bite and though the place was small, mixed in with a lot of the other businesses on the street, and very discreet. Our server was very polite with my son who kept asking all kinds of questions (tried to find something else to eat because he is not a fan of sushi) and treated him like any other customer. The chefs ended up making him some basic noodles and chicken. The fact that they went as far as making some off menu items for my picky child made the visit well worth it. That being said, the quality of the ingredients was amazing and the items really showed the talent the staff had. The rolls and other sushi items that would be found at any other place did not disappoint but I will say the crown jewel of what they make here are the sushi burritos. Reading this you must think it's pretty gimmicky but I will be coming back to this place specifically for it. I had the Sexy Burrito and I can say that they don't do enough justice in the way it's advertised in the menu. The only negative thing I have to say is they need more seating inside but that is more of a limitation of the building and how the building was built. We took up the last two tables available and the others had been on reserve so they had to refuse customers due to CDC guidelines. We felt bad for being the reason they had to refuse clients but I am glad they are practicing COVID safety. If you have got this far and you haven't been there yet, go. Now. Stop reading. GO! Get the Sexy Burrito, thank me and the staff later. You're welcome. read more

Ordered the crunchy roll, spicy California rolls, cucumber salad and salmon nigiri. I was not able to finish eating the crunchy roll. The menu stated it was topped with tempura crunchies and it definitely was not. It tastes like it was powdered Cheetos but when I asked what it was I was told it's a Mexican chip. The cucumber salad was good. We both enjoyed that! The spicy California rolls weren't really spicy and were very plain tasting. Parking was easy since there's a parking lot in the back so that's a plus! read more

The food was good, we ordered an SD roll, lemon cilantro roll, tiger roll (which we asked to be separated from the other rolls due to the fact that it had shrimp in it) and a spicy ceviche roll. We had made clear that my partner has seafood allergies (except fish) but were not informed that the spicy ceviche roll had octopus and shrimp in it. Per the menu, the spicy ceviche roll consists of "an assortment of fish," which we realized was misleading. My partner had already eaten two of the spicy ceviche roll when he noticed that there was shrimp and octopus in there. We were also not offered an apology, so we just asked kindly to have the spicy ceviche roll taken off our tab. We left feeling defeated because the food was good, it was just that the situation was not handled well, considering that the employees were gossiping about us as we were leaving. Hoping for an update on their menu and better awareness and training with their employees to avoid this happening to anyone else. read more

My husband and I really like it here! The burritos are top notch! They do take their time but I promise it's worth it. I personally love and recommend the salmon teriyaki bowl! We always get a good laugh when we eat there. The employees are so attentive, funny and friendly. I also like the herbal area it's located in and they play really chill music in the background. I had the best vegan sushi rolls I've ever had here!!! Seriously. Even better than sushi deli, etc. and they have happy hour basically all day so I got 2 decently sized and very well flavored vegan sushi rolls for $20 which is a good price. One of my favorite sushi spots in Chula Vista. Rolls are always fresh. Great customer service. My favorites are the baked scallop roll and Lemon cilantro roll. Their baked mussels are the best! Hula poke bowl is my go to if I want poke. read more

Customer service is not just about smiling at customers, I'm blunt about my opinion so no hating here. just feedback. This is a very low level type of food. Quality and this restaurant do not belong in the same sentence im so embarrassed to have eaten here where im not even going to ask for my money back. they can have it in hopes of doing a decent job, at least. literally got a plate full of disappointed. I would never recommend eating out of a trash can but hey, this place does.The food looks as good as a wet dream. Until you face reality. Had lunch with a friend here. She recommended this place since I am such a sushi snob. It was great! I love that they had tasty and unique rolls. I had to try to the hot Cheetos roll which it is a basic spicy California roll with hot Cheetos dust on the outside (skip it) . The volcano was my favorite, a must . Staff was really friendly. The place was clean and welcoming. My only advice would be to get better quality chopsticks. Lucky, the rolls were made properly and not falling apart. read more

My daughter got the Naruto bowl, and my husband, the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, each one costing $17 EACH. I went with the soy sauce ramen which was $16, and to add an egg additional $1.50. The bowls were only filled with rice, the ramen was filled with scallions, and not much else. The Cali Roll were also mostly rice, no avocado, they were so cheap and did not even add wasabi & ginger! I was recently tasked with finding a local sushi spot in the area, as our company provides lunches for hospitals three times a week and we have a very generous budget for it. I decided to give this place a try, hoping it could become a go-to option for regular business. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The server approached me while chewing gum, didn't greet me, and immediately asked what I wanted without any courtesy or acknowledgment. At no point during my visit was I thanked for dining in or made to feel welcome.
